Unlike his other friends (Stan, Kyle, and Kenny) he didn’t go to college right after high school and has stayed in South Park. Even Butters is gone. He didn’t go to college, but followed Kenny to the college town (at the college he got a scholarship) he is at and is his roommate.

Clyde usually has no desire to get involved in Cartman’s antics, but he goes along with some of them. Because Clyde can be easy to manipulate, he often ends up going along with Cartman’s plans.
