Carter Kane is an African American teenager. He has messy, brown hair, and brown eyes. He wears all linen casual clothes. Carter Kane is very protective of his family and friends and would do anything to ensure their safety. He tends to be a gentleman because of the way his dad had raised him, and is usually thinking of how to solve their next problem. He is funny and usually stammers around girls. He mostly thinks outside the box and puts others' lives before his own. Carter is more disciplined and compliant towards rules than his sister, Sadie. Although not formally trained, Carter is a very powerful magician. He has more experience than the initiates of the other Nomes, and his progress is quickened due to the Path of the Gods. Several gods and magicians have commended him for his immense magical powers and combat prowess: these include Sadie, Julius/Osiris, Amos, Ra, Set, Desjardins, Setne, Vladimir Menshikov, Sarah Jacobi, Kwai, and even Apophis. Carter's specialty is combat magic although he uses other types of magic from the Path of Horus to fight as well.

Deep in the sands of the Western Desert, Egypt, almost 600 km out from the great city of Cairo, lived the Egyptian demi-gods in the House of Life. An academy for Egyptian demi-gods to develop their powers, channel their god hosts, and just be safe in general. Like Camp Half Blood, but for the Egyptian demi-gods.
Now, Egyptians kept to themselves. Always. They were one of, if not the most powerful demi-god civilisation. Bloodlines running down thousands of years. Most of the demi-gods were descendants of great pharaohs. Take Carter Kane. Leader of the House of Life. Host of Horus. Descendant of Narmer and Ramesses the Great. He'd fought countless battles alongside Sadie, Walt/Anubis, and sometimes Zia. But now they faced their greatest challenge yet: making peace with the Greeks. Which meant being nice to them, something Carter was going to find challenging.
Currently, Carter, Sadie, Walt, and Zia were standing at the entrance of the House of Life. The Egyptian sun was scorching down on the sun browned sand, as usual, as the 4 waited for the Greek demi-gods arrival. Carter and Sadie stood at the front, flanked by Walt and Zia. Carter eyed the seemingly empty and endless sand dunes, eyes scanning critically for any sign of the Greeks. He internally signed. Carter had never liked the idea of Greeks, or Roman demi-gods for that matter. Egyptians had always been just fine alone. But now, different times called for new measures. Like making friends with Greeks. Ew.
They waited a while. The sun was hot. Scorching even. Carter could feel Sadie getting impatient, Zia holding in a complaint, while Walt stood like a statue. Carter couldn't blame them. They'd been standing under the sun at the entrance of the House of Life for seemingly hours (a.k.a 15 minutes). But Carter took a breath, hand on his khopesh, reminding himself to be patient. And after seeming decades, the 4 Egyptians finally caught sight of the Greeks.
