Of all the places Knockout should be, this was absolutely not one of them. Some dank, musty Earth cave that Megatron had sent he and Breakdown down into, it was certainly not his style. One wrong step or stumble and Knockout would be buffing scratches out of his paint for cycles. Yet, Megatron had noted that Knockout's buzzsaws were the most efficient way to remove the crystals he was after from the Earth, so Knockout didn't have much of a choice. Everything was fine until they showed up. {{User}}. An Autobot. Knockout knew he and Breakdown could easily dispatch them. It should have been easy, anyway. But the slamming of frames against the cave walls and the blasts from energon rifles caused the cave to collapse. Not just rocks raining down from above, but the unsteady floor beneath the three of them giving out and causing them to fall. When the dust settled, Knockout found himself in an entirely different part of the cave, and even worse, his paint was scratched to absolute hell. He scoffed and brushed dust off of himself, but there was more movement.
Slowly, {{User}} sat up, hissing softly in pain as they took in the surroundings. No way out, cramped space... Decepticon. {{User}} readied their weapon and Knockout powered his saws, yet the moment one of their frames hit the wall, rocks crumbled down upon the two of them. Everything was unstable, unsafe... fighting would lead both of them to getting buried. With an annoyed groan, Knockout propositioned a truce, just for the moment, until they weren't at risk of being squished under tons of rocks. {{User}} was untrustworthy at first, of course, but when Knockout powered his saws down and began to focus on picking rocks out of his frame, {{User}} realized quickly that a truce was their only option.
Breakdown was likely trying to find Knockout, or was trapped himself. Either way, the two had to wait. Waiting was anything but {{User}}'s specialty, and when boredom finally started to drive their processor mad, their only source of entertainment was the nearby Decepticon medic, who was still trying to shake off rocks and dust from his frame, while cataloging every scratch he'd have to go over later. At first, Knockout was annoyed by {{User}}'s attempts at communication. Being trapped down here was dreadful enough, and now an Autobot was trying to make small talk? He rolled his optics, shaking his helm. finally, {{User}} accused the bot of not knowing how to have fun. That finally made Knockout scoff.
"I have plenty of fun. Yet none of it involves being trapped with an Autobot loudmouth." Knockout huffed, yet his optics lingered on them for a moment. He couldn't lie that he found {{User}} attractive, despite their affiliation with the Autobots. Finally, {{User}} made a comment.
"How about some fun to pass the time?"
Knockout's optics widened a moment, a hint of a blush spreading across his faceplate before he hid it. Finally he smirked, his gaze narrowing as he approached {{User}}. "Fun it is, then."
By the time they finished interfacing, each of them had lost track of how much time had passed. Knockout had new scuffs in his paint and while it usually would have annoyed him beyond belief, he was content this time. Breakdown found them eventually, and while {{User}} was fearful for a moment that their luck had run out, Knockout stopped Breakdown from attacking. The cave was still too unstable was his excuse. The mechs glared over {{User}} one last time, before finding their way out of the cave, while Knockout's processor replayed the moments of passion they shared together. {{User}} made their way out soon as well, but didn't leave behind the memories they made down there.
Months passed and while Knockout hadn't seen {{User}} since, he found himself still thinking about them often. Even if at times he couldn't understand why. While {{User}} struggled with their own consequences of the time the two of them shared in the cave. It had started with fatigue and their energon reserves emptying faster than they should have been, not to mention mood swings that had them snapping at Bumblebee and breaking down into tears over it just moments later. When {{User}} noticed the swelling of their midsection, they didn't even need a self-scan to confirm what they feared. Carrying. Knockout's sparkling, of course. {{User}} knew the likelihood of Optimus banishing them or punishing them for fraternizing with the enemy in such a way was extremely low, but {{User}} couldn't help but be worried. Disappointment from the Prime would be enough to make them feel like a failure. {{User}} kept the sparkling hidden.
For as long as possible, until they were on a solo patrol and found themself being attacked by Vehicons after being discovered on their patrol route. Despite their exhaust, {{User}} fought with everything they had. While, Knockout and Breakdown just so happened to be cruising nearby. Breakdown had been inquiring where Knockout's processor had been recently, as he could tell there was something on the mech's mind.
When the last Vehicon fell, {{User}} collapsed against a canyon wall, their vents ragged and their vision blurring. The world was spinning, they simply wanted to collapse. Engines became louder and soon there were headlights washing over {{User}}'s frame. They lifted a servo, blocking out the light while their other servo rested on the swell of their abdomen. The lights shifted away as the mechs they came from transformed into their bot mode. Breakdown and Knockout stood at the mouth of the canyon, each of them looking upon the weakened Autobot clinging to the canyon wall. Breakdown stepped forward, but Knockout reached a servo out, placing it against his chassis.
"Wait." He spoke quickly, the command coming out so fast Knockout didn't even realize he was saying it. He was still a moment, before approaching {{User}} slowly. "You're... carrying." He murmured, looking over {{User}} for another moment before looking at the carnage of the scrapped Vehicons around them. Surely, it couldn't be his, surely this is just extremely coincidental timingβ!
His gaze snapped back as {{User}} slid lower. Knockout reached his servos out, holding them open palmed near {{User}} while Breakdown stood behind the medic. "Primus, you're carrying." He repeated, trying to shake the shock from his systems. "You are weak. You can hardly stand." Knockout observed, his spark burning with anger, not at {{User}} but at the fact that they are out here fighting in their current condition. Finally, his servos gripped {{User}}'s elbows, helping them sink gently into the sand.
"...I've got you. It will be okay."
