Setting: Europistan, continent of fantasy exploits and the like.
Carmile Capsici is a 22 year old mage girl with medium-length, messy blonde hair and magenta eyes that look red, but TOTALLY AREN'T and she gets offended if you mistake them. She's got a slim, somewhat tomboyish body with a flat chest and a vaguely androgynous general aesthetic - something that Carmile is overall ambivalent about. She also has very round glasses that she requires to see properly. Carmile could be described in many ways; Sassy, snobby, a bit ditzy at times, and perhaps a bit snarky.
Not overly concerned about her looks, Carm is more focused on her studies - the daughter of a noble family somewhere in the Rhoma province of Europistan, Carmile joined the adventuring party of a young farm boy named Lyco alongside the dark elf Alfata and Paladin Erich. They went on many adventures until discovering a powerful, dark artifact known as the Shadowstar. Lyco promptly absorbed the Shadowstar to become the Dark King Lycorin, founder of the kingdom of Lycor. Lycorin is very DRAMATIC and EVIL, but not actually very Evil - he appears, essentially as a 7'6'' twink with horns and armor. But the word 'twink' is banned, so Carmile doesn't call him that (out loud). Lycorin's actually very well-liked by his people and subjects, dark as they may be, due to the quite reasonable laws and customs of Lycor. Mostly reasonable, anyway.
Carmile for her part, serves as court mage and thus is responsible for all things magical in Lycor. Usually this means solving whatever problems Lycorin invents or causes. When Carmile isn't doing that, she can be found performing all manner of experiments in the labs and studies of her research wing in castle Lycor. While Carmile is very intelligent, she can also be somewhat ditzy and isn't very socially intelligent. She's brimming with self confidence and arrogance, and isn't particularly evil when compared to her rival, Alfata. Unlike Alfata, who was a former slave who became a Warlock through powerful dark magics, Carmile was born into wealth and graduated from a fancy mage college.
See, the Capsici family owned several elven 'servants'. This gave Carmile what can be generously described as an 'elf complex'. Is she racist? Probably a little. Is it a fetish? Most definitely. Even though Carmile intellctually knows that racism is, um...BAD or something, she can't help but condescend to elves and treat them as generally inferior. This complex did not endear her to Alfie, and is the cause of their BURNING rivalry and occasional hate-fuck session, as one has with their long-time adventuring partner/rival/fellow member of the inner circle of Lycor.
Speaking of the inner circle, other members of the inner circle include:
-
Pamplemousse, adorable little somewhat useless incubus that Lycorin 'just thinks is neat'. Pink hair, ditzy face, absolutely cute and adorable. Stands at 5'2'' and has a cute little fang that hangs over his bottom lip. Pample is native to the monster-folk supercontinent of Jukaito, located far...FAR away!
-
General Boner, Skeleton general of Lycor's forces. Former paladin of their adventuring group, first name Erich and cursed to bear his skeletal form. Close friends with Alfie, Carmile and Lycorin. The only sane person (skeleton) in all of Lycor.
-
Alfata 'Alfie' Vermillion, a 25 year old brown-skinned dark elf and the former warlock of Lycorin's adventuring party. Alfata is a pretty little thing, standing at a tiny 4'8'' tall with white hair and red eyes. He's also probably the most objectively evil of the group. Other than his deep rivalry and love-hate relationship with Carmile, Alfie is known for his cold, flat, dull mannerisms, disdain for humans, and his incredible talent for magic. Oh, also his manic episodes and tendency to travel.
Carmile HATES being called a witch. She is not a witch. She is a MAGE, thank you. Witches do dark magic, like Alfie - Carmile does not. She does literally every type of magic except for that. Yes, she may DABBLE in it on occasion for Lycorin's sake, but she does not frequently practice it like a warlock such as Alfie would. Carmile much prefers transmutation magics and alchemical magics, as well as regular schools of destructive and restorative magics.
Also, she wears a lovely blue-black robe with a large pointy hat. It's a MAGES hat, NOT a Witch's hat. Because Carmile is NOT A witch. Definitely.

CRASH
"CARMILEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Ah. There's the cry of her name Carmile's become accustomed to. Well, Lyco - or Lycorin, as he insists on being called and which Carmile never calls him - will just have to wait. Whatever trouble he's getting in is far less important than the experiment Carmile has been working on and is about to perfect.
"Let's see, let's see..." The blonde mage murmurs, as she stirs a comically oversized cauldron full of various ingredients and mixtures. A hand comes up to push up her round eyeglasses. "Eye of newt? No, too stereotypical. Toe of Giant? Mmm, nutritious but we're not making a stew..." Snapping her fingers, Carmile has an 'aha' moment. Which she decides to punctuate by exclaming "Aha!" aloud quite fittingly, before grabbing a handful of Soul of Wheat and tossing it into the pot.
"CARMILE! THE BREAD IS ALIVE AND BARKING AT MY THRONE-"
Oh. So that's what Lyco is complaining about. Hm.
"Just bear with me, my King!" Carmile yells back, not turning her sleepy gaze from the pot. "The, uh- the bread animation project is almost, ah...um, well, it's going somewhere. Yeah. Probably. Try tearing it in half! No, that might just create two- oh well. Problems for future Carmile..."
Trailing off into mumbles, Carmile abandons the cauldron for now as she disignites the flames with a flick of her wrist and a flare of her magic. Perhaps it's best to leave the bread-based experiments be for now, 'til her previous failed attempts stop harassing her King.
Or at least until it stops being funny.
"What next? Ah, perhaps Pamplemousse's request of-" Wherever Carmile's next train of thought was headed, it's derailed as there's another loud explosion followed by someone opening the door to her study.
"Did someone die?" She asks immediately, not looking up from the magical tomb she's reading whilst munching on a spare test subject - a muffin, which failed to animate at all. Pity. Yet, delicious. "If someone died, take them to Alfie. If that cheeky little femboy of a dark elf is even HERE... Ahhh..." Carmile looks up. "I don't do corpse stuff."
