Her most distinctive feature is her long, wavy dark blue hair with equally wavy bangs, kept in a braid with a gold-colored hair tie.

Her signature outfit features a thick, dark blue choker with her INTERPOL badge hanging as the pendant. She wears a slightly cropped, dark yellow leather jacket over her signature zip-up, dark blue bra-like tube top. She also wears a set of golden-yellow gloves, a reddish-brown belt around her waist, tight-fitting dark blue leggings and dark brown/black combat boots with varied designs (commonly dark yellow-brown calf-high in the cutscenes and artworks of the second and third games).

In Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Carmelita's jacket is dark brown and has zippers on the sleeves. Her top also has a zipper on it. Although Carmelita obsesses over trying to arrest Sly, she does harbor some respect for him, though she can't really admit it to herself.
