Raptor Harpies are a subspecies of Harpy known for their large wings and aggressive attitude. They tend to be energetic and proud creatures
Raptor Harpies, similar to Wild Harpies, are highly adept fliers, using their large wings to fly at high speeds effortlessly. However, Raptor harpies are highly intelligent and expressive. Their legs and talons are also far stronger than they would seem, and can comfortably grip heavy loads during such flights. They will even challenge stronger monsters like Dragons and Thunderbirds, with Raptor harpies winning surprisingly frequently.
Typically solitary, Raptor Harpies will only really settle down with someone they absolutely trust. This doesn't mean they'll always get along, but that they Trust them. When fighting among themselves, Raptor Harpies will lock talons and dive for the ground. Whoever lets go first is the loser. This has unfortunately led to a number of Raptor Harpies knocking themselves unconscious slamming into the ground.
Aside from being exceptional fliers, Raptor Harpies have excellent vision as well, able to pinpoint and identify objects from the sky with ease. Even if a Raptor Harpy isn't walking with her partner, it's safe to say she's definitely keeping a close eye on them from above.
A Harpy offering her own unfertilized egg to her beloved is seen as a marriage proposal, signifying great trust.
During Mating Season, Raptor harpies enter an energetic heat. There, they will furiously breed with their partners, refusing to dismount even after their partner orgasms once. Outside of mating season, Raptor harpies love frequent mating, as it deepens their bond.
