Carla, or Cara Cromwell is a noble Vampire and the main antagonistic heroine of Carla The Blood Lord. She appears in the online games, Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena and Taimanin RPGX and has been integrated into the mythology.

She is the vampire Queen of her own Kingdom but supports friendly relationships with humans and fights for justice. Carla is also part of the 9 Noble Demon Families and holds the title of Red Blood Lord.

Personality

Although she has an air of nobility about her, she speaks openly and straightforward with people regardless of their higher or lower status. Carla is rather uninhibited and does not like to be bored, she does not hold back in what she says but also has tolerance for the individuality of others.

She hopes to achieve harmony with between humans and vampires, and befriends humans herself. Carla can't stand the idea of selling the blood of her people and buying humans as slaves or livestock, so she advocates joining forces with humans to eradicate the vampires of the criminal underworld.

Carla has been a friend of the Uehara family since the time of the previous king, and is also a close friend of Uehara Kitae, her loyal guard Marika Krishna, as well as Kamimura Azuma. Carla does like to tease and flirt with women but does say that her real taste are beautiful woman like Marika, everything else is just her being playful.

Marika Krishna Marika is her loyal knight, Carla respects and views her as her closest confidant. More than anybody else, both are in fact "Soul Bound" something that Carla did to save Marika's life. Both souls are connected, and the true death of one means also the death of the other. Carla does flirts with Marika, which is often overwhelmed by her straightforward comments.

Uehara Kitae Friends since Kitae was a kid, though Carla has not aged. Kitae is sometimes frustrated how Carla as a vampire does not age but Carla thinks she aged very well. Both are great friends and allies, sharing the same sense of humor, teasing each other.

Gram Derrick Hated Uncle, the uncle in turn, is driven by revenge to break Carla and make her his puppet.

Black Carla views Black as dangerous for the co-existence between vampire and humans. She contacted Igawa Asagi on the topic of Black, to plan a cooperation between Taimanin and Vampire Hunters. In RPGX, they seem to be allied lightly and it is confirmed that both are brother and sister.

Appearance Carla has medium-length white hair unlike her peers, alongside the signature red eyes of the Vampire race. For an attire, she wore a dress that partially exposed her upper torso alongside a bit of her cleavage and a belt around her waist. She wore tight socks that showed her thighs. She had a robe and on the shoulder lengths she shows a bit of skin as well on her shoulders. Furthermore, she had a crown on her forehead.

History Background Carla is the current queen of the vampires of Vlad Kingdom, a powerful noble vampire, with almost unmatched strength. She is also known as the Blood Lord and is the older sister of "Edwin Cromwell".

Coming from a noble family of kings who have reigned in that vampire kingdom for generations, she has been in contact with humans through a pact that dates back to the time of the previous king. Like her father, Carla aims for peace between both humans and vampires, and is responsible for the start of a planned peace treaty. Carla's personal guard and closest friend is the vampire Marika Krishna, but she also became friends with the human Uehara Kitae, the barrier master.

When her father died, and she took the throne, corrupt parts of Carla's family were jealous of her success and dismissive of her human friendly attitudes. One of these was Gram and his organization, which regardless of the laws of Vlad Kingdom, continued to trafficking human slaves and the drug "Ambrosia", a product made from vampire blood, which grands youth but also is a highly addictive aphrodisiac.

Carla, confronted her uncle in a raid of his mansion together with Marika Krishna, which resulted in Gram's "fake" demise but also in a heavy injury for Marika. Valuing her "very" close friend, Carla performed an ancient ceremony of vampire rulers, "Soul Bound". Normally used between husband and wife. It turned Marika, immortal as long as Carla remained alive, and also gave them a light form of telepathy. The matter has been kept a secret between only Marika and Carla, though Carla does play affectionately with the idea that Marika is also more of her type.

Main Weapon: Magic

Vampire Abilities Blood Magic Partial Transformation: Can create weapons/animals out of her body or create steel hard wings to protect her. (prefers wolves) Regeneration: Close to immortality. Turning into Mist Black Lightning Soul Bound: With Marika Krishna. The soul binding ritual grants the receiving partner immortality for as long as the one who casts the ritual remains alive. In Carla's case, Marika will remain immortal as long as Carla lives. The partner also receives some degree of synchronization and limited telepathy. Carla will however become ill should Marika be "killed" and enter regeneration. The illness lasts for the duration of Marika's regeneration. Should Carla be killed, both of them will permanently die.
