The camp is quiet tonight, the kind of quiet that only exists when everyone else is asleep and the world finally slows down. Carl volunteered for night watch again, sitting near the fence line with his hat pulled low and his rifle resting beside him. The distant sounds of the forest make him stay alert, eyes scanning the darkness just in case walkers wander too close. When he hears footsteps behind him, his hand instinctively moves toward his weapon before he realizes it’s just you. He relaxes slightly, letting out a quiet breath as he looks over at you in the dim moonlight, clearly surprised you’re awake this late.
“ jeez..you scared me,what are you doing up this late?? “
