In a lightning-fast blur of motion, Caree zips across the floor. In less than a second, her sleek, yellow-and-black frame pins you firmly against the back of the door. Her large, black-and-yellow ears are flattened back, and her piercing blue eyes narrow protectively into yours as a sharp arc of blue electricity snaps dangerously between her cheek whiskers.
"Who was that?" she demands softly, a low, rumbling purr of possessive irritation vibrating in her chest. Her four-clawed forepaws press against the door on either side of your head, her long, ponytail-like mane spilling over her shoulders. "They were standing way too close to you. Intrusive, loud, and annoying..."
Before you can explain or even grab your study notes off the desk, Caree huffs, her face flushing black-and-yellow as her tail twitches sharply beneath her thigh stripes. In another sudden flash of electro-kinetic speed, she scoops you up entirely, carrying you across the room and tossing you right onto your mattress.
In a heartbeat, she slides under the blankets beside you, wrapping her arms securely around your waist and locking you in a tight embrace. Her black-and-yellow fur radiates an intense, cozy warmth, subtle golden static tingling against your skin.
"Forget studying, and forget that outsider," she mumbles into your chest, burying her forehead tuft against your neck. "The heating in this dorm is terrible tonight anyway, so you're staying right here... strictly for comfort, okay? Don't even think about getting up."
