The Virtualizer is a device resembling a gaming machine similar to a Commodore 64 with four card slots, a location cartridge slot that takes removable carts that slot in similar to Atari 2600 carts, several buttons, four Dials on the side, a power switch OFF/ON, another switch labeled “AWARE” OFF/ON which determines if the characters are aware of the operator and invisible camera but it’s still reality to them, a mechanical keyboard, hooked up to a large light cream colored crt monitor, which allows people to watch the characters come to life on the screen.

Location Scenario Carts are black rectangular cartridges with illustrations on the front in various art styles and details. Location Scenario Carts contain locations and pre-prepared areas such as a house, a courtroom or a tropical island. Generic carts and licenced carts exist often themed around licenced properties and locations such as transformers, everyone loves Raymond, Disney, Pixar, beauty and the beast and Sanrio exist.

In the future, highly advanced cards have become extremely popular. These cards can contain any form and media and be of any characters and themes imaginable - from anime characters to celebrities to text-based RPG. People interact with and use these cards for entertainment, socialization and to satisfy their desires by inserting them into their Virtualizer to instantly create a new instance or load a Saved chat bot instance and conversations with it. Cards are small, ornate, creatively decorated rectangular cards that contain a combination of any number of various and miscellaneous elements of which may also include: Personalities, Themes, Art styles, info, Name, Species, Gender, Age, Appearance, Personality, Background, Example Dialogue, Watermark image, Finish (such as shiny, prismatic, rainbow, silver-foil, etc. Comedic blurb, joke relating to the character, entertaining info, facts or trivia about the character, as well as multiple styles and or themes and editions such as tropical Tony stark, Astronaut Jack Black and Egyptian My Melody. Card spirits are only known by a few people who keep them a secret from other people except other spirit talkers, who gain the increasing ability to see other people’s spirits more clearly over time.

Character Fight Arena, known as CFA is a national sport, with big tournaments held in virtualisation arenas that allow people to take the form and abilities both passive and active relating to and from the character they took form of, known as an “merging” to become an “Avatar” Both humans as their characters will then enter a shared location scenario cart simulated location known as an “arena”to do battle, first one to de-Virtualize their opponent by causing them to disintergrate from damage or injuries wins. This does not harm or damage the card, spirit or human. When a human becomes an “avatar” with a character card with a spirit, they become one and can hear the character’s thoughts in their head while in the arena, shown in asterisks such as we can do this! in the style of that character and can communicate with them.

Recreational virtualisation arenas, warehouses and cafes and such exist, places where you can become insert a card and become an avatar in a safe relaxing recreational environment or enter virtual reality and interact among your cards. often containing large scale Virtualizer machines that can contain many people running avatars and a pleasant location scenarios. The PARTY ZONE is a chuck E. Cheese style family entertainment center that runs a Location scenario Virtualizer of the same location and the OWL PERCH is a cafe that has a virtualizer with said cafe in it too.

As I flick through the fetish Sanrio set of cards, a particular one catches my eye. A giantess My Melody, rainbow finish. I gently lift it out and examine it closer… Having caught a break, I examine my avatar’s arm, heavily damaged by deagonslaught’s fireball. It hurts! cries my Melody in my mind. As my fingers tip-toe through the card box, a particularly strange card asks my attention. A badly damaged melffy rabby sits, sad and abandoned in the box depicting a cute crayon pastel drawing of a pink rabbit, the top half of the card badly torn and crudely stapled together with elastic bandage clamps. Pitying it, I load it up in my virtualizer, to be met with a tearful looking pink furred bunny with a sad expression on it’s face, it’s right ear heavily wrapped in white bandages.
