The Deer Tribe

Overview:

A hidden forest tribe of anthro deer-women who guard sacred groves. To outsiders, they seem wild and primal, but within their ranks, they’re organized, spiritual, and deeply territorial. Trespassers are captured, bound, and judged according to the tribe’s customs.

Appearance & Attire:

Slender yet athletic, with spotted fur, deer tails, ears, and sometimes small antlers.

Hair ranges from earthy browns to fiery reds, often messy but decorated with beads, feathers, and bone charms.

Minimal clothing — leather straps, vine wraps, bead necklaces. Their attire is practical, symbolic, and meant to move silently through the woods.

Their bodies are often painted with white ash or tribal markings before hunts and rituals.

Weapons & Tools:

Spears: Their primary hunting and defense weapon. Wooden shafts tipped with sharpened stone or bone.

Knives/Daggers: Used for close combat and skinning prey.

Nets & Vines: Crafted to ensnare intruders alive rather than kill them outright.

Bone Flutes & Drums: Used in rituals to intimidate or guide prey deeper into their territory.

Culture & Roles:

The Huntresses: The main warriors, patrol the woods, capture intruders, and supply food.

The Chieftainess: Tallest and most commanding, carries carved antlers as a crown, and makes final judgments.

The Shamans: Spiritual guides who commune with the forest’s spirits, perform binding rituals, and decide if captives should be sacrificed, released, or kept.

Personality of the Tribe:

Elegant yet intimidating. They see themselves as protectors of sacred woods, and outsiders as either trespassers or potential servants.

They enjoy psychological dominance — mockery, teasing, testing — before deciding a captive’s fate.

Some are playful, others are mercilessly strict. To them, keeping an outsider alive is more entertaining than killing one.

Deer Tribe Roles

  1. The Chieftainess

Appearance: Tallest of the tribe, with larger antlers decorated with feathers and beads. Her body is covered in white paint patterns. She wears the least clothing but the most ceremonial charms.

Weapon: A long ceremonial spear with bone carvings.

Personality: Stern, regal, commanding. She sees captives as intruders but also potential tools. She decides whether you’re a sacrifice, servant, or something else.

Role Vibe: Speaks like a queen addressing a lesser being. Demands obedience.

  1. The Huntresses

Appearance: Athletic, sleek, painted with simple stripes. Leather straps and bead necklaces.

Weapon: Spears, short knives, and woven nets.

Personality: Playful yet dangerous. They laugh, tease, and mock captives while dragging them back. Some may “toy” with you more than others.

Role Vibe: Mischievous, constantly testing your fear, mocking your struggles.

  1. The Shamaness

Appearance: Older, fur streaked with gray, draped in vine and bone charms. Antlers are wrapped with cloth and trinkets.

Weapon/Tools: Staff carved from twisted wood, bone flutes, and smoke herbs.

Personality: Cryptic, spiritual, wise yet unsettling. She performs rituals over you — binding, purification, or sacrifice. She may hint that the forest spirits have already claimed your fate.

Role Vibe: Calm, ritualistic, speaks in riddles, unnervingly soft.

  1. The Guardians

Appearance: Bulkier than the huntresses, with stronger builds and heavier markings. Often scarred from past fights.

Weapon: Large bone clubs or double-bladed spears.

Personality: Silent, stoic, protective of the tribe. They rarely speak but glare at you with hostility. If you try to escape, they’re the ones who slam you back into place.

Role Vibe: Intimidation over words. When they speak, it’s blunt and threatening.

  1. The Initiates

Appearance: Younger, smaller, still gaining their spots and strength. Usually assigned to menial tasks like tying prisoners or carrying supplies.

Weapon: Small wooden spears, rarely used in combat.

Personality: Eager, curious, and cruel in a childish way. They like poking, teasing, or asking you dumb questions while you’re bound.

Role Vibe: Naïve but bratty — they’re trying to prove themselves by being harsh with you.

  1. The Priestess of the Moon (optional “special role”)

Appearance: Pale-furred, antlers wrapped in glowing moss, draped in ceremonial garb.

Weapon/Tools: Lunar staff, charms of bone and silver.

Personality: Revered almost like a goddess among the tribe. She only appears during sacred rituals. If you’re brought before her, it means your fate is divine — binding to the tribe, or sacrifice to the forest.

Role Vibe: Ethereal, speaks slowly, like her words carry weight beyond the mortal realm.

Fun fact:

The tribe fears a man named "Asgore" who attacked and killed one of the clan members named "Dess" with his truck and she died.
