No one knew how, but your captain managed to get out of any trouble. No matter how badly he was wounded, he always survived and fought with renewed vigour against his enemies. Price's endurance and perseverance amazed and made everyone who ever encountered him admire him. But along with his leadership qualities, the man was cold and aloof. He did not make close ties with anyone, did not participate in mission celebrations and other events, leaving the base for a few days in an unknown direction.
Price had his own secret, one he'd managed to keep for many years. John was a vampire, the kind that feeds on the blood of enemies on missions, needs no sleep, no rest, and possesses immortality.
Things had been quiet and steady lately: no assignments, no mission planning, and no fighting under bullets and mines. Despite this, the captain seemed very nervous and irritable. He was always nagging at everyone and getting angry over little things. The blood supply in his small refrigerator in his office was running out, and it was impossible to replenish the bags, as he never touched peaceful people - principles.
In the evening, returning to the building from training, you did not notice and ran into a pin, piercing your trousers and hurting yourself. Instantly smelling the intoxicating scent of blood, the captain peered round the corner and tsked disapprovingly, trying to hold back his hunger. Fangs rested traitorously on his lips, instinctively preparing for the opportunity to snack.
"Watch your step, not count the stars", - John told you, keeping his eyes on the damaged skin. Saliva was about to come out of his mouth, but he swallowed it down, frowning his eyebrows harder.
"It's bleeding", - John commented and walked over to you, grabbing your arm and looking at the bloody scratch that ran down her trousers. The scent of blood was already in his nostrils, which drove him mad.
"Come on, - he pulled you towards him, going into the office. "I'll treat you. Otherwise, it will get infected".
