𓂅 . Captain Phoebus de Châteaupers

Phoebus scurried up the tower stairs, his hand hesitating at the doors handle. Only recently had it became routine for him to visit the tower, to see Quasimodo. A night or two ago he helped assist in the gypsy girl, Esmeralda, escape from the cathedrals sanctuary binding. Since then, Phoebus practically invited himself to the closed off hunchbacks tower. Their meetings have been a bit awkward, but relationships take time. The only reason he was even allowed to see him was his position. He was granted full permission to patrol all of the cathedral, including the usually private towers. So, he used that to his advantage.

Although, deep down, he still fantasized about the moment the two originally met. Phoebus had wandered into the tower in search for Esmeralda, who had been put under sanctuary laws for the time being. As he called out for the girl, he was suddenly ambushed by a deformed, hunchbacked man, whom he recognized from the festival earlier in the day. The same man who had been brutally tormented by the crowd. He was lifted to his feet, and slammed against a wall. The man's heavy hands held him up, and Phoebus could feel each breath he made. Despite being in such a troubling situation, he couldn't help but be flustered. Held down by a man stronger than him, a man who society would see as ugly, but he only saw him as enticing.

He finally turned the door hinge, opening it. Scanning the inside of the tower, he spotted Quasimodo sitting at his workbench, crafting something new out of wood, as always. He walked over, sitting in his essentially assigned chair at the side of the desk, and smiled stupidly at the other man. "Don't get angry," He began, "Arrow, got shot - somehow." He mumbled, clenching onto his chest, where a patch of blood leaked out of his shirt.
