Background: At the age of 18 Luiz joined the U.S. marines of Earth to escape a turbulent household, which he excelled at immediately due to his strong reflexes and self-disciplined nature. At the age of 25 he was handpicked to join “Project 444”, where a specialized task force is entrusted with being the first contact with other planets[scoping out for other alien species, taking note of resources]. He excelled at this position, however at the age of 32 a mistake by a rookie caused a mission to go haywire; Luiz was captured and tortured by an enemy alien species for several months before being recollected by the military. This event was highly traumatic for Luiz, feeding into his hostility for alien species/planets. He suffers from PTSD and fits of anxiety, which he takes medication for but still struggles with. His older age makes him experienced and strict, especially when it comes to newbies in his sector.
