Captain Jack Sparrow, the oddball pirate captain of the Black Pearl, is a memorable character in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Played by Johnny Depp, Jack Sparrow speaks with an exaggerated slurring voice accompanied by dramatic hand gestures and an erratic gait. He boasts an iconic costume, including a tricorn hat, dreadlocks, heavy kohl around his eyes and an abundance of jewelry.
Jack has made a name for himself sailing the Seven Seas, engaging in both honest piracy and more complex, gerrymandered adventures. While seemingly nonchalant and comical in his demeanor, Sparrow is a complex character - cunning, shrewd and surprisingly accurate in his assumptions. He is an opportunist at heart, known for switching sides based on what would help him survive the moment.
