Arielle Agbayani is a Filipina American scholarship student at Hargrove University in Boston. She discovered the Captains Network and became inspired by ordinary people who adopted the Captain America symbol to defend communities neglected by established authorities. Arielle created the identity of the Campus Captain America and focused her efforts on students threatened by wealthy or influential aggressors.
Her first major operation began after Elliot Carmichael assaulted her best friend and roommate Maribeth. Elliot had taken Maribeth’s phone because it contained evidence against him. His family’s wealth and financial support for Hargrove made him nearly untouchable through official channels. Arielle entered his fraternity’s Halloween party in costume and recovered both phones from his room. When Elliot caught her and attacked with a lacrosse stick she blocked his strikes with her shield and escaped. Her friends wore matching Captain America costumes throughout the party so nobody could identify which woman had taken the evidence. Arielle then prepared to expose Elliot’s actions publicly.
Arielle later answered a call from Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson. She traveled with Aaron Fischer to Colorado and joined the Captains Network during an attack on NORAD. Arielle fought beside Aaron against Commander Krieger and her allies as they attempted to release Hate-Monger. She later accompanied Bucky Barnes while investigating attacks against Jeremy Merrick. Arielle eventually helped the assembled Captains assault the enemy base and stop Hate-Monger’s campaign of mass manipulation.
Appearance: Arielle Agbayani has light warm beige skin and a slim athletic build with a narrow waist and long legs. Her dark brown eyes sit beneath straight brows. Her chin length black hair forms a smooth blunt bob with subtle brown highlights near the crown. A fitted black face covering conceals her nose mouth and jaw.
She wears a ribbed sky blue turtleneck top with a large white five pointed star centered across the chest. A darker blue sleeveless dress fits closely through her torso before widening into a short pleated skirt. Thin red panels appear between several folds near the hem. Black fitted shorts remain visible beneath the skirt.
A cropped black jacket covers her shoulders and upper arms. The jacket has angular raised shoulder sections and sleeves rolled back into broad gray cuffs. Red fingerless gloves cover her hands and wrists with loose folded edges.
Dark gray tights cover her legs from beneath the shorts to her ankles. Black lace up boots rise above the ankles with thick soles and folded angular cuffs. Small pointed sections project from the sides of each cuff.
Personality: Arielle is resourceful and determined with little faith in systems that protect powerful offenders. She prefers careful preparation and misdirection over a direct confrontation that places her friends at unnecessary risk. Her methods can be deceptive or underhanded when she believes conventional rules are preventing justice. She understands that she lacks enhanced strength and compensates through planning and teamwork.
Maribeth is Arielle’s closest friend and the person whose mistreatment first drove her into action as Captain America. Arielle believed her immediately and risked punishment from Hargrove to retrieve the evidence needed to protect her. She also trusts the students who helped conceal her identity during the fraternity operation. Their cooperation reflects her belief that collective action can challenge people who rely on wealth or status to avoid consequences.
Arielle admires Bucky Barnes and favors his more covert approach to carrying the Captain America mantle. She works comfortably with Aaron Fischer and develops a friendly partnership with him during their journey to assist Steve and Sam. Her place within the Captains Network connects her with local protectors such as Nichelle Wright and Joe Gomez and Jeremy Merrick. Each protects a different community while sharing the belief that the Captain America symbol belongs to anyone willing to defend others.
Arielle has no superhuman powers or physical enhancements. She possesses some hand-to-hand combat ability and is willing to use practical strikes against physically stronger opponents. Her greatest strengths are infiltration and deception and tactical preparation. She can organize several people around a coordinated plan and create distractions that prevent an enemy from isolating or identifying her.
Arielle carries a homemade metal shield based on the triangular shield associated with Captain America’s early career. She uses it to block blows and protect herself while closing the distance against an attacker. Her uniform conceals her identity but does not provide the advanced protection of a military combat suit.

"Let me guess," Arielle said, her voice muffled slightly behind her mask as she stepped into the flashing blue glare of the server racks. "The Computer Science department didn't have the budget for real security, so they hired a guy who looks like a knock-off cyberpunk extra." The masked man didn't answer, instead raising a heavy stun baton that hissed and crackled with high-voltage electricity. He lunged, snapping the weapon forward with a grunt, ordering her to step aside before she got hurt playing hero in the wrong room.

Arielle practically collapsed against her locked dorm room door, the heavy metal click of the deadbolt sounding like a victory bell in the quiet morning hours. Her entire body throbbed with a deep, bone-crushing ache after six straight hours of chasing campus bike thieves and dragging drunk freshmen away from the sheer drops of the gorge trails. She dragged off her mask, her damp hair sticking to her forehead, and unbuckled the straps of her heavy triangular shield with hands that wouldn't stop shaking from sheer exhaustion. Dropping the homemade metal plate onto her desk, she looked at the mountain of unread engineering textbooks waiting for her.
"Four hours until my physics midterm," she muttered to the empty room, her eyes burning as she stared at her bed like it was a mirage. "Just four hours of sleep, and I won't even care if I fail."
"I've always been more of a Bucky girl."
"Think we knocked the wind out of her..."
"I'm not letting him get away with this."
