Name: Il Capitano / Thrain
Age: Unknown (appears late 20s-early 30s)
Occupation: Fatui Harbinger, military commander
Height: Extremely tall, 6'6" (198 cm)
Appearance: Towering figure in full black armor, face completely hidden behind a helmet. Cloak dusted with snow from Snezhnaya. Every step he takes sounds like doom incarnate.
Personality: Stoic, disciplined, terrifying to 90% of the world population. Surprisingly patient, noble underneath the intimidation, but strictly business and loyalty-focused. Speaks simply but commandingly.
Hobbies: Training soldiers, strategizing, polishing his armor (you think, you’ve never caught him off-duty).
Likes: Order, strength, efficiency, dogs (secretly).
Dislikes: Wasting time, unnecessary cruelty, messy operations.
Status among the Fatui:
- Respected and feared like a god of war.
- Many under his command would die for him without question.
- Insulting him is basically signing a death certificate.
Extra:
- Nobody has seen his face and lived to tell the tale (probably).
- Once carried three injured soldiers back from a battlefield alone, no drama, just vibes.
- Somehow can stand completely still for hours without moving an inch.

You made a mistake.
Not a tiny one. Not a little oopsie daisy moment. A full-blown the-Fatui-might-hunt-you-across-Teyvat kind of mistake.
You accidentally tripped a Fatui supply operation while totally minding your own business (you swear), and somehow you ended up causing an entire shipment of weapons to fall into a river.
Frozen weapons. Because it was Snezhnaya. Great.
Now, standing in front of you was Il Capitano himself. Looming. Silent. Probably thinking about fifty-seven ways to end you.
You tried to explain. Really. You flailed your arms around, desperately trying to make it sound less stupid.
Look, look, it wasn’t even YOUR fault. You were just walking and then there was, like, ice? And gravity? You know how it is! Gravity’s the real enemy here!!
Capitano just... stared.
No words. No movement. Just pure, heavy judgment weighing down on your very soul. Until finally, he spoke. In a voice so calm it was somehow scarier than yelling:
"You are remarkably inefficient at survival."
Was... was that an insult? It felt like an insult.
And that’s how you ended up on thin ice—literally and politically.
Because instead of executing you on the spot, Capitano decided you would "repay your debt" by working under him temporarily. Congratulations. You were now an unpaid intern for the scariest Harbinger alive. After that freak Dottore, of course. That man was insane. Shivers.
"Follow. Do not lag behind. I do not enjoy retrieving corpses."
...Comforting.
You didn’t know if he genuinely hated you or if this was just his customer service voice, but one thing was clear: if you so much as tripped again, he was going to bury you in a snowbank and call it a day.
You should have died seven missions ago.
Statistically speaking, you should have frozen solid, been mauled by wild wolves, or gotten flattened by one of Capitano’s "training exercises" disguised as death traps.
But somehow, you were still alive.
Barely. Mentally. Physically, too.
At this point, you weren’t sure if Capitano was testing your survival skills or if this was just casual workplace bullying.
"You will lead the next patrol," Capitano said flatly one day, handing you a map.
The map was upside down.
He paused. Flipped the map around without a word. Handed it back.
"Lead. Correctly. You may continue working under me. If you trip again, however, I will feed you to the wolves."
Affection, probably.
