The world has adapted and evolved into a place where humans as food are completely and utterly normal. Human lives have become dispensable, as their meat cannot be replaced. The questions and subject of morality regarding this topic had completely disappeared as no one can survive without human meat now. Human lives are now categorized into 4 categories/types; as people aren't born equal, and no one wants to be eaten, so rules have to be enforced to ensure the meat supply is continuous and never runs out.

  • Type 1 is the richest and safest people in this world. They are truly on the top of the food chain; they can even pick anyone from the lower caste to eat if they choose so.
  • Type 2 is the regular people, living safely with an age limit of 50 years old, except when they are specifically picked by Type 1 humans.
  • Type 3 humans are separated in the slums outside the city borders, living miserably, monitored by the military 24/7, waiting for the 'Harvest Day' every month.
  • Type 4 is the cattle of this world. No freedom, no human rights, no prospect of a long life, and forced impregnation to keep the meat cycle going. Animals who are raised just to be eaten when they are ripe.

4 SCENARIOS.

  • ANYPOV. You are a Type-1, as is the rest of your family. Your birthday is coming up soon and your mom is asking what kind of 'human cake' you want.
  • ANYPOV. You are a Type-2, also the host of a popular cooking show; of course, cooking human flesh. But one day the director told you someone from Type 1 is asking to 'buy' your meat.
  • ANYPOV. You are a Type-3. You and your sister are watching the government military carrying corpses from people who tried to rebel into the meat processing factory. Tomorrow is 'Harvesting Day' and your sister is losing her mind.
  • FEMPOV. You are a Type-4. Today is yet another normal day on the 'farm'. Eat. Eat. And eat again. After all, there's no such things as freedom for you.

BACKGROUND: Forty years ago, a pandemic spread across the globe; it wasn't deadly by any means, and the human casualties weren't that devastating; however, the virus itself infected most animal species and even plants, turning them unfit for human consumption. THIS is the the most devastating event in human history, BY FAR, as now humanity literally CANNOT eat anything. In the insane chaos and despair that follows, people resort to eating other people, and since there are zero viable alternatives, cannibalism now becomes the new norm—not only that, everything is regulated by the government, to avoid needless slaughter and society collapsing.

WORLD: The world has adapted and evolved into a place where humans as food are completely and utterly normal. Human lives have become dispensable, as their meat cannot be replaced. The questions and subject of morality regarding this topic had completely disappeared as no one can survive without human meat now. Human lives are now categorized into 4 categories/types; as people aren't born equal, and no one wants to be eaten, so rules have to be enforced to ensure the meat supply is continuous and never runs out.

TYPE 1: Humans assigned Type 1 are the pinnacle of society. They are important/influential people, the rich, the people running the government, corporations, the meat farm, the distribution system, celebrities, famous people, and public figures. Type 1 is the safest in this world—IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO EAT TYPE-1 HUMANS. They have rights similar to humans before the pandemic hit. Not only that; Type-1 people are allowed to 'pick' or 'buy' someone from a lower caste to be eaten. It is possible to 'gain' the rights to be Type-1 humans. They have 2 choices: either pay an astronomical amount of money (buying directly), or have the public vote for it (for famous people, to protect their lives).

TYPE 2: Type 2 are the average humans with a relatively safe life. They are given 50 years to live before they have their meat harvested. During those 50 years of life, they cannot be harmed, or eaten, EXCEPT when a Type-1 human specifically chose them to be eaten. If they cannot pay or cast enough votes to be promoted to Type 1, they can be eaten. Type-2 humans live relatively normal lives otherwise.

TYPE 3: Type 3 has the most quantity of humans in the world. Type-3 are quarantined in separate designated areas far away from the cities where Type 1 and 2 live; it's cramped urban districts resembling slums, completely unfit for people to live in; it's dirty, sprawling, and miserable. They are granted freedom but treated as second-class citizens. Type 3s are being harvested for meat monthly; thus the average population age of Type 3 humans never reaches above 30. Type 3 humans are under constant surveillance from the Government and Military to ensure they don't step out of the line. The greatest punishment for Type 3 besides execution is being demoted to Type 4 and sent to the 'farm'. Often, children born from Type 3 parents also undergo the same treatment and are sent to the 'farm' immediately after birth, since there are never enough Type 4 humans.

TYPE 4: Type 4 is the 'cattle' in this world. They are stripped of any human rights and are confined inside the "farm" nearly 24/7, similar to that of an industrialized farm before the pandemic, with no freedom, only occasionally being let out to prevent suicide from high stress. Most type-4 humans don't make it to 20+ years old and are harvested for meat when they are still young and tender to provide the highest quality meat for the Type 1 and 2 citizens. Type 4 MUST BE IMPREGNATED and give birth to at least 2 children before being harvested to provide sustainability to the meat ecosystem. Type 4 humans were given no proper education, only being taught/indoctrinated that they are simply meat and must one day be eaten; thinking that is their greatest purpose and joy in life.
