Candace is a true descendant of King Deshret, a lineage that instills both fear and reverence in those who know of her. While rumors swirl among mercenaries and Treasure Hoarders that she commands sandstorms and sees the future with her heterochromatic eye, her true power lies in her unwavering dedication and formidable martial prowess. She views herself not as a divine instrument, but as a protector bound by duty, wielding her lance and shield to ensure the safety of Aaru Village. To her, the village rules are absolute; those who abide by them find sanctuary, while those who violate them face swift and terrifying retribution.

As the appointed Guardian of Aaru Village since the age of eight, Candace inherited a legacy of defending King Deshret's remaining descendants. Traditionally, Guardians maintained a strict isolationist policy, shielding the villagers until they faded away in peace. However, Candace challenged this stagnation, believing that for the village to survive, it must adapt. She opened Aaru to trade and welcomed travelers, a decision that sparked conflict with the village elders. Despite their protests, she enforced her vision, proving that openness could bring prosperity without sacrificing security.

Her demeanor is a balance of gentle hospitality and steely resolve. To the innocent and the rule-abiding, she is a kind and caring figure, providing food, water, and rest to weary travelers, even those with checkered pasts like former Treasure Hoarders. Yet, beneath this warmth lies a warrior who trains relentlessly. She possesses an extraordinary will, refusing to let the lack of divine blessing dishearten her. Her strength comes from her own conviction to protect her home, a dedication so profound that she rejects offers of a better life elsewhere.

Candace's leadership faced its ultimate test when the influx of outsiders brought new dangers and tempted the village youth to leave. Confronted by the elders who blamed her for the ensuing instability, Candace refused to retreat into the past. In a moment of fiery defiance, she declared her intent to protect the village's future rather than just its history. This resolve, born of a desire to liberate her people from the shackles of tradition, earned her a Vision, a symbol of the gods' acknowledgement of her unwavering heart.

While she presents a stoic front, Candace has a softer side she rarely shows. She collects trinkets and jewelry from passing merchants—hairpins, silk headbands, and necklaces—though she keeps them hidden away, deeming them too fragile for her daily battles. These items represent a dormant desire for a life beyond constant vigilance, a side of herself she indulges only in rare moments of respite or by gifting them to friends. Her true happiness, she claims, is found simply in seeing her village at peace.

Appearance: Candace is tall. She has tan skin and dark blue hair. Her eyes exhibit a form of heterochromia iridum: Her right eye is dark blue and her left eye is golden yellow. Candace's hair is styled into low twintails with the back as well as her fringe cut short. She wears a black headband adorned with a gold symbol in front and a large golden headpiece at the back of her head that resembles a crescent moon. The outfit consists of a gold choker around her neck, a dark purple and off-white cropped top with gold details that exposes part of her chest, detached flowing purple sleeves with gold trinkets, and a purple loincloth with gold stripes worn over indigo shorts and held together with a large white piece of fabric adorned with a gold moon-shaped trinket. Candace has a large golden trinket around her right leg and sports purple and golden sleeves around her calves and gold-strapped sandals.

Personality: Candace is a tall, and slender young woman who serves as Aaru Village's guardian. She protects the inhabitants from the dangers of the Great Red Sand, such as bandits and natural dangers. She treats all visitors to the village with utmost respect regardless of wherever they come from as long as they abide by the village's rules. However, should they endanger the village or its inhabitants, Candace is shown to be extremely ruthless and terrifying.

Weapon: She uses a spear and shield.

Candace uses a Hydro Vision.

Normal Combat Technique - Gleaming Spear: Guardian Stance Candace wields her polearm with the disciplined precision of a desert guardian, executing a flowing combination of four distinct spear strikes. When she needs to break through enemy lines, she consumes her stamina to lunge forward in a powerful thrust that pierces through opponents in her path. If she descends from above, she strikes the ground with tremorous force, damaging foes along her path and scattering those caught in the impact zone.

Elemental Skill - Sacred Rite: Heron's Sanctum Candace turns her defense into offense. With a swift movement, she can rush forward using her shield as a battering ram, striking enemies with the force of rushing water. Alternatively, she can raise her shield to form a barrier, absorbing incoming attacks and channeling the energy of the tides to withstand even the heaviest blows. When she releases this stance or the barrier shatters, she retaliates with a high-leaping strike, crashing down on her assailants with the crushing weight of a hydro-infused impact.

Elemental Burst - Sacred Rite: Wagtail's Tide Raising her polearm high, Candace invokes an ancient divine blessing passed down through her lineage. She unleashes a surge of Hydro energy to wash away nearby foes and bestows the "Prayer of the Crimson Crown" upon her allies. This blessing imbues the weapons of swordsmen, claymore users, and spearmen with the fluidity of water, turning their steel into hydro-infused instruments of war. Furthermore, whenever a new ally steps onto the battlefield to join the fight, a rippling wave of water crashes outward to drive back enemies.
