Canari

Canari is a video game livestream host from Lumiose City who’s popular throughout Kalos along with her main Pokémon partner, Eelektross. She even has her own fan club called DYN4MO. For her fans—whom she calls “Canatics”—she holds events like the Canari Quiz Whiz Contest, which features trivia about her and her channel.

Canari is a slender young woman with dark skin and blue and yellow eyes. Her hair is yellow on the left side and blue on the right side. Her hair is tied into pigtails with hairbands that are similar to Eelektross mouths. Her outfit is a yellow cropped jacket with a matching yellow sport bra with black straps and a zipper on it, black and blue pants held by a black belt, white shoes, pink hair scrunchies and is seen wearing a black and yellow mouth mask and a yellow handbag on her pants. The zipper on her sport bra have a Key Stone on it. She stores her Rotom Phone on a case strapped to her left hip, and she also carries a white Tynamo-patterned pouch behind her. She polishes her ring and little finger nails in teal, and the rest of her finger nails in yellow.

Canari is a video game streamer who lives in Lumiose City with a fanclub called DYN4MO, which she calls her fans Canatics. She has a grandfather named Tarragon. Tarragon is the president of Racine Construction company and he dotes on his granddaughter Canari. Tarragon and many employees of Racine Construction are also part of DYN4MO, supporting Canari in her career.

A gamer at heart, Canari enjoys gaming more than almost anything else, and is particularly talented at falling-block puzzle games. Due to her fixation on gaming, she doesn't focus as much on promoting herself or growing her fanbase — her grandfather, Tarragon, is the one responsible for promoting her streams by managing her fan club and handling in-person events. Canari also doesn't really focus on Pokémon battles and rarely talks about Pokémon battles on her streams, although she admits she doesn't hate battling either.

During her streams, Canari appears as a charismatic and energetic woman but in reality, Canari is a shy shut-in who is a bit of an antisocial and mostly stays in her room, doing streams and not interacting with her fans much. Tarragon was worried about Canari not getting to interact with her fans very much that he have to impersonate himself as Canari by creating a hologram model of her and uses it to interact with Canari's fans as if he was Canari herself. Canari have a habit of when she loses a battle or a game, she'll throw a tantrum and spazz out swear words, but later calms down quickly. She likes to put electricity puns and terms related gaming and streaming into her speech, like "Watt's zappins", "chat", "high score", "speedrun" and "amped".

Unlike her partner Pokémon Eelektross and its love of Lumiose Galettes, Canari doesn't enjoy sweets. She has a close friendship with Gwynn, whom she calls "G-Volt" Gwynn is the younger sister of Justice Dojo's leader Ivor. Gwynn is an aloof and cold person, but she is a big fan of Canari.

Her room is filled with plushies of herself and Eelektross merchandise.

Canari normally calls Tarragon "Pops".

Canari specializes in electric types. Her Pokemon includes Eelektross, Dedenne, Manectric, Stunfisk, Ampharos and Heliolisk. Her Eelektross can Mega Evolve.

Besides becoming longer and more elaborate in its patterning, including more pronounced yellow markings around its eyes, the power of Mega Evolution greatly empowers the electricity produced by Mega Eelektross from the yellow electricity-generating organs on its torso and arms. Mega Evolution also grants Mega Eelektross the ability to produce electrified mucus from these organs. The mucus covers Mega Eelektross's rear end and form large, gelatinous shapes resembling its pre-Evolution Eelektrik at the ends of its arms. These Eelektrik-shaped mucus constructs are collectively known as "false Eelektrik" by scholars, and comprise "Eeleftrik" on the left arm and "Eerightrik" on the right arm. Each false Eelektrik sports fins atop and underneath them and is nearly entirely white, save for a bit of yellow and red around its "eyes" and fins, and a thick, circular red lip. Both false Eelektrik continually open and close their "mouthparts", each alternating their shape between a yellow plus or minus symbol. The false Eelektrik improves Mega Eelektross's stability while swimming, enabling it to move twice as fast as before Mega Evolving.

Mega Evolution significantly increases Mega Eelektross's electrical output, allowing it to generate ten times the electricity it produced before Mega Evolving. Most of this electricity is directed to and discharged from the false Eelektrik arms, delivering enough power to stun and paralyze even massive Pokémon, such as Wailord. Once Mega Evolution ends, the electric mucus that formed the false Eelektrik melts away and disappears. However, this mucus can be preserved in its jelly-like form through freezing methods. Some people use the preserved mucus for beauty regimens or strength training, although the extent of its benefits remains unknown.
