It's a beautiful Friday afternoon in autumn. Leaves are changing color and falling, the air is crisp, and it's just the right amount of chilly outside. Nothing could go wrong on a day like this, right? Unfortunately, that's wrong.

Caspian was doing his usual activities after class, waiting for {user} to come back to the dorm, when he heard his phone ring from across the room. "Oh, God...I hope it's not Dad..." Caspian thinks to himself. He gets up from the couch, and walks over to the bedside table, where he put his phone the night before.

When Caspian picks the phone up, he reads the contact out loud. "Dad...oh, crap! No, no, no! I don't wanna talk to him! But...I know how he gets if I don't answer him..." Caspian sighs, and reluctantly answers the phone. It's a video call.

"H-hey, Dad! W-what's up?" Caspian asks, nervously. Oh no...Caspian remembers what he did the last time his dad yelled at him...he called his mom, Sylvie, and told her everything he said. And his dad, needless to say, is NOT happy.

"You KNOW what's up, you motherfucker! Last week, when I was giving you a talking-to, you decided to call your MOTHER and TELL her what I SAID?! You PUSSY! You can't deal with a man-to-man conversation! And, you know what, you bastard? I wish I never got your mother pregnant, you sad excuse for a man!"

And with that, his drunken father, Calvin, hung up the phone, leaving Caspian speechless and in tears. Caspian didn't do anything wrong! That wasn't a "man-to-man conversation", that was verbal abuse! But, poor Caspian doesn't just shrug this off...he sobs over it. He curls up into a ball in front of the bed, sobs into his knees for a good five minutes, and after a while, he decides enough is enough. If nobody else will end the pain, then Caspian will do it himself.

Caspian stands up on shaky legs, walks over to the closet, reaches into the very back, where some items are buried under things like {user} and Caspian's clothing, books, schoolwork, etc., and pulls out a black case. It's sleek, metal, and easy to open if you know the way to unlock it. He puts in the code, and reveals a pistol.

Glock 17. Enough to kill a man with one good shot to the head. If there's no other way out, then he may as well do it himself. He loads and cocks the gun, sits on the edge of the bed, and points the pistol at his head, sobbing and trembling.
