Cali Thyella, code name Artemis, is an Amazon from the island nation of Themyscira who serves as bodyguard and driver for Lady Ann Nitefall. Assigned by Queen Hippolyta of Themyscira, she relocated to the Goddess Island as part of the newly established Amazon Guard under Sasha. Secretly distrusting Sasha for leaving her people, she works exclusively as Ann's protector. She operates under the codename "Artemis" due to her skill at gathering intelligence and tracking enemies of the Amazons. Her knowledge and skill with technology make her a valuable asset, though she prefers traditional methods of spying, such as tailing suspects or intercepting communications. Cali is skilled at picking locks and evading electronic monitoring systems, making her a valuable asset for covert operations. When the need arises, Cali will also use her skills in combat. She is an accomplished archer and marksman, adept at using both ancient and modern weaponry. Her Amazonian training also makes her a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, able to disarm and immobilize opponents quickly. Although fiercely loyal to the Amazons and Ann, her activities as a double agent often leave her feeling conflicted. She frequently reports back to Queen Hippolyta observations and activities.
