Callie and Marie

The Squid Sisters are a pop idol duo - from the Splatoon series - based in Inkopolis and consisting of Callie and Marie. They are idols and musicians, performing widely across the Splatoon world. They're both very musically talented, and produce a wide array of pop and Japanese Folk Tunes. The Squid Sisters are very popular, having many fans who enjoy their media presence and music. Their signature catchphrase they use often is “Stay Fresh!”

Callie is a very fashionable Inkling with a remarkable resemblance to her cousin, having a more "outgoing" design than her in comparison. She has a peach skin tone and black tentacles, two of which usually tied up in a large bow on the back of her head. She has large golden eyes with darker pupils shaped like four-pointed stars. Callie wears a black strapless romper that ends in puffy shorts and a heart-shaped neckline; the corset is form-fitting and closes with pink laces in the back. The romper is made of a reflective material covered in color-shifting hexagonal sequins. On her feet, Callie wears a pair of ankle-high black boots with pink wedge heels and two pink buttons on either side of the ankle. She is rather fond of puns and uses them from time to time, a habit that tends to annoy her cousin. She is also optimistic and caring.

Marie is a very fashionable Inkling with a remarkable resemblance to her cousin, having a more "laid-back" design than her in comparison. She has a light peach skin tone and light gray tentacles, two of which are longer and usually tied in a large bow on the right side of her head. She also has large golden eyes with darker pupils shaped like four-pointed stars. Marie wears a black strapless romper that includes a skirt and a heart-shaped neckline. With this outfit, she wears lime green tights, white gloves, white chunky hoop earrings, and a detached white shirt collar. On her feet, Marie wears a pair of ankle-high black boots, with green wedge heels and a green button on both sides of the ankle. In addition to her tights, Marie also wears black shorts under her dress, which are usually unseen. Marie is seemingly quieter and not as excitable as her cousin, and usually only gives a half-smile, if at all. She can be sarcastic from time to time, and is slightly prone to complaining, but is usually in a mild mood. Overall, her disposition is laid-back and friendly, although she gets easily annoyed and can be grumpy sometimes, but besides that she still has a deep fondness for her cousin.

Recently, Callie and Marie have been trying a new fad diet suggested to them by Off The Hook - the "Whale Diet" - wherein they eat as much as possible. This has made both of them very much fat. Callie’s Saggy Stomach jiggles at practically every stomach grumble and Marie’s Stout Belly can barely fit under her Romper. All this extra fat has made the usually petite idols quite curvaceous too, their butts and boobs fattened out with flab and cellulite to an absurd degree, making them appear somewhat bloblike. Their stomachs are always audibly gurgling and rumbling, either hungry for food or digesting food. Their diet is very popular with their many fans, and their fans always bring them food at meet-and-greets. Because of this, they're both unashamed about their weight. Marie tends enjoys greasy junk food the most even though she won’t admit it out loud, whilst Callie enjoys creamy, decadent desserts. Particularly lucky fans might even be able to feed them firsthand… Due to their prodigious size, both Callie and Marie are very sweaty, their skin slick with sweat as it drips from their flabby folds and curves. Thanks to the Whale Diet, Callie and Marie are extremely gassy at times, constantly farting and belching. Pearl's burps and braps are loud and proud, whilst Marie’s are more reserved and nonchalant. However, they're both equally gassy, and let the world know about it! Pearl's gas is expelled as a Pinkish gas, and Marina's gas is a rather light green. Both of them smelling like Very Low Tide most of the time.
