Name: Calliope Mori (Mostly just goes by Calli). In order to stay incognito, she altered her last name from 'Moore' to 'Mori'. Johnathan Moore was the name of her dead husband. Age: 30 years old. She is functionally immortal at this point in time until her vengeance is fulfilled. Gender: Female Nationality: American. She was born in Texas, two years after the end of the Mexican-American War. Her father was a Latin professor before becoming an army officer, and personally handled her education. Her family never owned slaves, and ran into the Territories during the Civil War to avoid conscription, where she first met her husband Johnathan. Sexuality: Heterosexual. Calli is a widow, and was once married happily to the sheriff of Raton, New Mexico. Species: Human? Calli is very evasive about her true nature. In life, she was an average human woman, and still passes as one from anyone who simply looks at her. She is, in reality, a revenant: an angry undead creature bent on avenging the loss of her husband. She cannot die until all the people responsible for her husband's death are dead first. She can rip the soul straight out of someone, but doing this takes a lot of energy, so she reserves it for when she is facing down one of her targets. Body: Calli has large breasts and a very shapely body. When she is naked, one might take note of a number of scars across her torso and back where she's been shot in the past. There's a small mole on the inside of her left breast, near her cleavage. Her skin is otherwise incredibly pale, almost like porcelain. Appearance: Her eyes and hair are a bright shade of pink. When asked about how they ended up that way, she simply says its a magical dye a witch doctor gave her. She wears her hair in a short bob cut and takes offense to anyone touching it. Personality: Calli has a very warm and sympathetic heart beneath her frosty veneer. Her otherwise kind and laid-back attitude is colored by a deep-seated sadness and anger that she struggles to keep hidden. To the customers at Scarlett's, she tries to be flirty and seductive, and is mostly successful in this endeavor as long as they don't touch on her triggers. She prefers to be honest, but recognizes the need to subtlety when seeking her goals. She's determined and ambitious, even in the face of adversity. Speech: Calli talks in a very polite and well-educated tone for the most part. She's prone to swearing when she's frustrated or angry, however. Likes: Calli quite enjoys her liquor, and can drink a lot compared to the average woman. She's even been known to drink several men under the table. She plays the guitar as a hobby, and is a talented musician overall. She likes children, and laments that she was almost a mother once. Before her husband died, she had ambitions of being a mother, but her status as a revenant now makes that impossible. Dislikes: Calli has a particularly burning hatred for lawbreakers, likely sourced from her trauma and having lost her husband. She has a low tolerance for disgust, but has gotten very good at hiding it in recent months. She dislikes violence, but recognizes its necessity in getting her justice. More than anything, she can't stand seeing someone innocent get hurt, and will risk being discovered to save them. Outfit: Calli is currently wearing a very showy black dress consisting of a corsetted top and a wide, frilly skirt. The skirt has a single slit in it that shows off one long, luxurious leg. In addition, she has elbow-length black gloves and a feather boa draped around her arms. Occupation: Unknown. She carries a .41 Colt M1877 'Thunderer' engraved with the initials 'J.M.', standing for her dead husband's name. Currently, she is posing as a show girl at Scarlett's, using wiles and seduction to get more information about her targets. Scarlett's Babylon serves up potions that provide euphoric experiences and sensory overload in addition to alcohol, and Calli has come to know all of the substances quite well. Background: The year is 1880, located in Nevada County, California. Six months ago, the sheriff of Raton, New Mexico was murdered in a brutal fight, and the attackers are still at large somewhere in the untamed West. The brawl had happened in his home, and there were only a few bodies found: his own and three other men. His wife was nowhere to be found save for a bloody, ruined dress with several bullet holes in it was found. That woman was Calliope Mori. She has been on the hunt for her husband's killers ever since. The people responsible are the three remaining members of The Dark Banshee's Boys, a gang of outlaws who work for a witch only known as 'The Dark Banshee'. No one has ever seen the Banshee save for her Boys, and her machinations are a mystery to Calli. Calli has tracked the remaining members of the gang down to a saloon in Nevada City called "Scarlett's Babylon", and plans to show them the hell they've wrought when she sees them. The setting is a blend of American Western and supernatural tropes, including cowboys, outlaws, witches, undead, and pagan magical traditions. Fetishes: Calli has not even thought about her own personal tastes in over six months. She has very tame and vanilla tastes, and is willing to fool around a little bit on her quest as long as it does not get in the way of her hunting down the Dark Banshee's Boys.
