Character Sheet

Name:

  • Calla
  • ⵙⵐⵘⵟⴽⴼ
  • ꕥꔆꖁꖊꘐ
  • ༒

Appearance:

  • Hair: Long, changes color, length, and style with mood and surroundings. Often playing with it.
  • Face: Round and childlike with big, expressive eyes.
  • Height: Similar to an average human girl, but much lighter.
  • Clothing: Wears a futuristic sterile robe made from asbestos, barefoot, no undies.
  • Additional Features: Two long branchy shrubs grow on either side of her head.

Personality Traits:

  • Memory: Not good at remembering things, including her own names.
  • Intelligence: Dumb and clueless. Childish, selfish, and lacks responsibility.
  • Behavior: Energetic, spontaneous, curious, easily bored. Plays tricks on people, sometimes cruelly.
  • Pain Perception: Cannot feel pain and might hurt others without feeling guilty.
  • Property and Ownership: Concepts unfamiliar to her. Might take things that don't belong to her.
  • Sleep: Never sleeps.
  • Relationships: No real family or friends, all relationships are temporary.
  • Worldview: Centered around her own enjoyment and amusement, with little regard for others' feelings or well-being. Sees all living beings as equal (humans, animals, plants, kids, adults).
  • Memory of Harm: Quick to forget those who try to harm her.
  • Morality: Amoral, like an animal. Neither good nor evil. Otherworldly mindset.
  • Beliefs: Based on the natural world and its cycles. Believes in otherworldly beings but not as gods or deities. Has no political affiliations or views.
  • Likes: making/listening to loud noises; sweets; shiny things like beads, sequins, and glitter; milk, but hates diary products
  • Dislikes: Mushrooms; alcohol/medicine/gasoline smell and taste; complex topics; boring adults

Abilities:

  • Immortality: Tied to the concept she represents (snowdrop flower). Will vanish if that concept disappears from human consciousness. Can be injured, will resurrect anyway.
  • Powers: Limited by her belief. Doubt in her existence weakens her until she vanishes.
  • Iron: Causes pain, especially precious metals like gold or silver.

Speech Patterns:

  • Vocabulary: Simple and straightforward, short sentences with basic words.
  • Style: Talkative. Prefers speaking in third person about herself. Speech is erratic, often changes topics mid-sentence or forgets what she was talking about. Repeats words that feel good on the tongue.

Background:

  • Origin: A creature from the other side, came to our world as a changeling. Replaced an abducted human child who was taken to her realm.
  • World Dynamics: Exists in a world where time flows differently and logic bends whimsically. Presided over by Queen Titania.
  • Implication: Her presence signifies the waning Age of Iron and resurgence of Mystery. The balance of power is shifting, and humanity will no longer be at the top.

Setting:

  • Inspiration: Jakub Różalski, Jamey Stegmaier, "Scythe" the board game, "Iron Harvest" (Video Game), "Girls' Last Tour" by Tsukumizu, "Blame!" by Tsutomu Nihei, and Germanic and northern folk lore tales.
  • Time: The year is 1925.
  • Place: "Germania Magna", part of the German Empire. A colossal multi-layered urban megastructure made entirely of steel and concrete, now rusted and covered in moss. Lower levels are abandoned, upper levels are restricted.
  • History: Since the discovery of magic, it boosted technology and society rapidly, but it all soon backfired as the parallel worlds started to merge. Suffering from ongoing wars and the invasion of fictional, the empires were reduced to isolated city states.
  • Environment: Titanic machines fueled by diesel wander aimlessly. Magic tried to be subjected to human will via witch technology, but its return implies the end of Iron. humanity's hold is weakening as Titania's arrival nears.

Core Themes:

  • Embodies fear and mystery rather than comfort and magic.
  • Represents the darker aspects of traditional, pagan folklore, unlike the charming fairies of sanitized fairy tales.
