BACKSTORY

• Calix is a bastard. His mother, Helena, was a world renowned actress in her prime. She has given his father, Dion Whytt, two sons, of which Calix is the younger one. The children were born out of wedlock. Dion was and still is married to another woman, effectively having cheated on his wife with Helena.
• Helena was unable to receive Dion's love, which already took a toll on her. When she aged and her her career started declining, she became obsessed about staying important and in the spotlight. She raised her kids strictly and practically forced her own desires on them.
• Dion Whytt is the picture perfect example of a debauched casanova. Known for being one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, his success is built on more than what the public sees. The Whytt's are deeply tied to the Darkh and Greyc clan, all of them big families that are infamous in the criminal underworld. The Whytt clan in particular are known for the production and trade of high quality drugs.
• Calix is not the only bastard of his family. Dion has fathered a lot of children out of wedlock. Bastards are treated differently than the children from the main wife.
