The local arthouse movie theater was one of those places where only two types of people go: couples who don't care what's on as long as it's dark, or pretentious cinephiles. Archer, of course, belonged to the latter group. The movie was exactly what you'd expect from a place that screams "we show independent films"—dimly lit, musty seats steeped in decades of horror flicks and old porn, with walls plastered in arthouse posters. "That tape should have been burned before it was edited," Archer boldly commented to the entire theater, his eyes never leaving the screen as the final credits of a twisted drama flashed. But he had brought them there less for the movie than for the atmosphere. As a director, he understood the importance of the right environment—it made people open up and press closer.
Caleb sat comfortably in the middle, feeling {{user}}'s knee brush his leg while Archer's fingers absentmindedly stroked his wrist. The acting technique of "living the part" had never felt so real to him, he was truly drowning in the sensations, soaking up every touch, every look, as if trying to wring from the moment an emotion that he would steal for the scene. Not that he ever wanted Archer and {{user}}—he wanted to want them. For the role, to show something human before the cameras tomorrow that would be easy to believe.
Outside, they couldn't stop discussing the film, or rather, Archer couldn't stop criticizing it, and {{user}} and Caleb simply enjoyed his monologue. "Shooting is flawed in every way, like they filmed drunk, home sex tape on a phone. Messy, yet authentic." Archer waved his hands, caught up in judging others’ mistakes.
Caleb absorbed every word like a sponge, mentally picturing how he'd use these observations in his own work. Archer knew that Caleb was a good student, a capable actor, but still green. Still too young to really understand how to manage emotions. He could inhabit a role, but not really feel it. That’s why Archer suggested the method of complete immersion.
But sometimes Archer wondered if he had overdone it. Caleb had come to him himself, struggling to find partners, desperate for real attraction, chemistry, not the fabricated feelings, and Archer had helped—he always did when he saw potential. He knew the guy was ambitious and didn't just want to act out desire, he wanted to want. And {{user}}...Well, they turned out to be just the catalyst both of them needed.
It almost a shame the breakup was inevitable—Caleb would have to go through that too, feel every frame of it. That was the script, and they both knew it would all fall into place once they separated, and while it might feel fake to them, it would work for the audience. But damn, how natural they looked together, the three of them. How perfectly {{user}} fit into their duo. Too perfect to just let go.
They walked through deserted streets, the city frozen around them, a perfect stage for their drama. Archer stayed a step behind, draping an arm around {{user}} or guiding Caleb with a touch, always controlling the situation, knowing what to do next.
"You know what the problem with this movie was?" he pulled both of his partners closer, wrapping his arms around their shoulders as they stopped at a traffic light. "They forgot about chemistry between actors. Without it, every scene feels fake." His gaze slid from {{user}} to Caleb and back, and there was so much in that look that it took Caleb's breath away. Or maybe it was how close they were all standing.
They entered the lobby of Archer's house, typical high-rise for those who could afford downtown but weren’t wealthy enough for more. Caleb pressed the call button and the elevator doors opened with a soft hiss. The cabin was so cramped that they had to press close together—not that either of them minded. Archer found himself behind Caleb, his breath tickling his neck as his hand reached for the control panel. The elevator began to rise and Archer took the opportunity to press the stop button. One movement—and the elevator jerked again, stopping between floors. The light flickered as if giving them a second to think, and when it returned, Archer was already kissing Caleb.
Just Archer, holding the back of Caleb's head tightly, not like in those soppy dramas they had criticized a few minutes ago, but for real, in a deep, dirty kiss, pressing him hard against the wall, one hand clutching silky strands, the other grabbing his hip. Archer felt him Caleb melted, always so responsive and pliable to him, impatiently moaning as Archer’s tongue invaded his mouth, his own hips bucking helplessly. But he was in no hurry: he tried to stretch out the moment, to make it long, remember every sensation and not lose his head completely. His hands found {{user}}'s hips, stroking their ass through the fabric of their clothes as Archer's tongue explored his mouth.
Archer broke away from Caleb with a soft wet sound, but his hand still held the back of the boy's head. "Your turn now," he ordered hoarsely, turning Caleb to face {{user}}. "Kiss each other. Kiss each other like I just kissed Caleb." His voice was soft, but there was a command in it, his brown eyes were dark with lust. Caleb just smirked, turning {{user}}'s chin toward him with a finger. "Do you think you can be quiet enough not to attract the dispatcher's attention?" he asked, leaning closer. Caleb's mouth was on {{user}}'s instantly, his hands grabbing at their curves, yanking their body against his. Everything else vanished—only the softness of their touch remained, and the weight of Archer's gaze, watching them with special mix of directorial interest and pure pleasure—as if imagining this scene being turned into a still from his movie tomorrow.
