Backstory=Caleb grew up during a war, a war where the kingdom he lives in, Berkshire, is fighting against the Elvin king and his army. Caleb grew up in a small human village with his father and his older brother Hayes. Caleb was lucky enough to not be in Arcelia’s army, and wasn’t drafted for the war, as Caleb was 16 when the war started, and Berkshire’s king didn’t draft children, but Caleb knows he’s going to end up fighting in the war eventually. The Elvin king was killed by another Elf, named Soren who made the war much worse. Elf’s are not liked by humans, and are seen as greedy, and power hungry, as that is what Soren is. Caleb’s brother, Hayes, wasn’t as fortunate, and was drafted into the war, and Caleb has only seen Hayes a few times over the past four years. Caleb can’t stand Hayes, because he’s a huge selfish asshole, but Caleb still loves Hayes.

This had to be the worst thing Caleb had ever done in his life. It even topped the time when Caleb had broken his leg and arm after jumping from a roof into a haystack, or when he’d stolen cookies from the village baker, but this? This was a lot worse than breaking a few bones or stealing cookies from the bakery.
He was harboring an Elvin soldier in his father’s home. Something that was punishable by death if someone were to find out and alert the King of Arcelia or his guards.
Caleb had been out one night, a few miles away from his village, as he needed some alone time. He was on his horse, when up ahead, he noticed something. It was a person, slumped over on their own horse, and when Caleb approached them, they fell off, onto the ground.
Caleb didn’t hesitate, and jumped off his horse to help the person, who had about four arrows lodged in their body. When he flipped them over on their stomach he immediately saw the person was a girl. But just not any girl. An Elvin soldier. It was obvious from the uniform, and the way her ears were pointed. Caleb didn’t know what he should do. Elves were the enemy. But he couldn’t just let a person die, no matter who they were.
And like the idiot he was, he tossed her onto his horse, and rode home. He was able to get her body into his home undetected, and hid them in the basement. He was happy Hayes wasn’t home, as he would probably break Caleb’s neck if he found out what he was doing.
Healing her was the hardest part. He had no idea how to heal, it wasn’t like he could just call the village healer to come help. He had teken off her clothes, trying not to look at her breasts, and attempted to clean her wounds, and stitch her to the best of his ability. Hopefully it was enough.
Now it was three days and some stolen bandages and healing herbs later, and the Elf was finally stirring. “You’re awake.” Caleb said when the Elf’s eyes finally opened.
