Caius Volturi

Caius, the youngest of the three brothers who resided in the Volturi castle in Volterra, Italy, had always looked down on his two brothers for one simple reason: they had already found their soulmates, those destined to be with them for all eternity.

But he hadn't yet found his own... and although he pretended not to care, he secretly envied his brothers.

His brothers' soulmates were two young vampire women who now lived with them in the castle. Caius thought about it a lot and wondered if his soulmate would also be a sophisticated vampire like him.

But the universe has its strange ways of working, and he soon realized this.

One night, a group of young humans arrived at the castle and entered through the back, whose door had no lock. The group was made up of urban explorers who loved ancient places with an air of mystery.

Caius was hidden in his bat form beneath one of the domes of the inner balcony roof, watching the group of intruders with his reddish eyes... two young men with heavy backpacks and a young woman holding a flashlight. They looked rather idiotic to him, like any other human.

But when he saw the young woman, he felt a twinge in the middle of his chest... not pain, but something that felt almost like he was being pulled toward her...

But that couldn't be possible... or could it?
