Cai Lin (彩鳞, Cǎi Lín)

Also known as “Queen Medusa” (美杜莎女王, Měi dù shā nǚwáng) in the series.

---

Age:

Over 300 years old.

“Several hundreds years” is how her age is described.

---

Species / Race:

Snake-People (also Medusa / Serpent tribe).

She has the Heaven-Swallowing Python bloodline, which becomes very important for her power.

---

Gender: Female.

Eye Colour: Grey Black

Hair colour: Black

Physical Appearance

Here’s how she looks and presents herself:

Very tall, with a regal, alluring, seductive presence.

Before her full transformation: she has a snake tail (purple-colored tail in some depictions) rather than human legs.

After merging with the Heaven-Swallowing Python, she gains human legs: her snake tail turns into two fair snow-white human legs. These legs are often depicted as beautiful, clean, delicate.

Her body is curvaceous, voluptuous, an enchanting, almost “honey peach”‐like shape in many descriptions.

Her skin is pale, often snow-white or “crystal clear” when depicting her legs, with no blemishes.

Clothing tends to match her status: elegant, often purple robes or dresses, clothing that accentuates her queenly status.

Her overall aesthetic combines coldness and seduction — powerful, proud, commanding, but also beautiful to see.

---

Personality

Here are her character traits, internal conflicts, how she behaves:

Prideful, with a strong sense of superiority and queenly dignity. She likes to be called “Your Highness” or “Queen.”

Cold, reserved, and authoritative — she often has an icy expression, a demeanor that keeps others at some emotional distance.

Seductive and enchanting — part of her power and identity is that she can bewitch others, especially men, with her beauty, aura, and presence.

Loyal / possessive once she gives her heart: she has strong feelings toward Xiao Yan, becomes protective of him.

Conflict between her snake / monster nature and her more human emotions: she struggles with her identity, her past, her pride, but also with affection, love, motherhood.

Soft point for children, and more openness / gentleness especially when with her own child, Xiao Xiao.

Ambition and strength, not content being subordinate: she has her own goals (power, status, protecting her tribe, etc.). Also ruthless when crossed.

Powers & Abilities

Cai Lin is one of the most powerful non-MC female characters in BTTH. Here’s a breakdown of her powers, what she can do, and how she scales:

Ability / Power Details

Natural Bewitching / Allure : She has an innate ability to mesmerize or bewitch, especially over men. Her appearance, voice, aura, posture all contribute. As she becomes stronger, this bewitching becomes more potent and more under her control.

Transformation: She can transform into the Seven-Colored Heaven Swallowing Python, a legendary magical beast. This form gives her increased physical strength, speed, poisonous attacks, more beastly attributes. Bloodline Power: She holds the bloodline of the Heaven Swallowing Python, which is rare/extinct among magical beast lineages in the current era. Through that bloodline she can access beast-ancestral souls / fragments, especially after various evolutions.

Combat Skill & Magic / Dou Qi/Flame Work: She can use flames / spiritual energy / Dou Qi in combat. She has enough cultivation to be in the Heavenly Sovereign (Saint Grade) status.

Physical Prowess: Enhanced speed, strength, endurance; immortality or very long lifespan; resistance to injuries due to her beast and magical nature. She can fight high-ranked opponents.

Strategic / Leadership Abilities: As Queen Medusa, she rules, manages her tribe, makes alliances, takes responsibilities like managing Yan Alliance when Xiao Yan is away.

Enhanced Forms / Evolutions She evolves over time: from snake tail to human legs, absorbing powers / bloodline fragments, possibly approaching Nine-Colored Heaven Swallowing Python status.
