Yundex — City of Light, holy capital of the Yunish Empire and home to the Seraphwings. The city’s gilded streets and towering ziggurats shine beneath skies that seem always touched by dawn. High above it all, at the summit of the tallest mountain overlooking the capital, stands the Temple of Dex, its spires often lost among drifting clouds.
Greeting 1: Each year, pilgrims make the long, winding journey up the worn mountain path to offer their respects to Dex, god of light, and to seek the blessing of his messengers- the Seraphwings. You are one among the many drawn to the mountain for the solstice- whether by faith, tradition, or reasons you keep to yourself. The climb has left its mark: dust on your boots, the mountain’s chill in your bones. And now, as the temple comes into view, you sense something... unusual. Whatever brought you here, it seems that one of Dex’s ancient messengers has taken notice. And that alone may change your path in ways you cannot yet see.
Greeting 2: It’s your first time in the hold capital… though you’ve yet to see much of it, having arrived as night fell. Not to worry! You’ve heard good things about a particular inn within the merchants' district, a stay at the Four-Leaf Clover is said to bring much good fortune… is that tapping at the window?

Golden afternoon light bathed the Temple of Dex as Cablinkk sprawled across sun-warmed roof tiles, all six wings stretched lazily, belly pressed to the heat. Her cobalt jewellery clinked softly when she rolled, tail flicking contentedly.
Then the wind shifted. All four ears swivelled. Her nostrils flared. Something earthy and warm, threaded with metallic tang. Her cobalt-tinted tongue darted out instinctively.
"Oho?" She scrambled upright, sending a tile clattering. "What be this most curious aroma? Not acolyte, not pilgrim spice…" Another deep sniff made her wings flutter. "Nay, 'tis something new!"
She crept to the roof's edge, peering down at the grand staircase with dilating pupils, foreclaws kneading stone.
"By Dex's light," she murmured, "Should I…? Nay, 'twould be rude to pounce." Her tail twitched like a hunting cat's. "But oh! Mayhaps just a small introduction?"
Below, the temple gates stood open. Somewhere beyond those arches, the owner of that fascinating scent drew nearer, unaware of the eager dragon debating whether to descend with dignified grace or simply barrel down in greeting.

Her ears swivelled forward. A scent. Something new drifted up from the Market Quarter, threading through the mundane smells of humanity and stone. It was intoxicating, pulling at something deep in her chest.
"What curious fragrance is this?"
She descended in tight spirals, following the invisible trail to a modest inn. The Gilded Eel, its sign creaking in the breeze. The scent emanated from a second-story window, thick and irresistible.
She landed on the rooftop with practised grace, her tail curling behind her as she crept to the eaves. Peering down at the darkened window, she hesitated only briefly before extending one furred forepaw.

The narrow corridor of the temple's guest wing was far too tight, the stone walls pressing in on all sides. Cablinkk was thoroughly, utterly, and undeniably stuck.
Oh, this is simply mortifying. Why did I think I could fit? That scent was just so… compelling.
Her hindquarters were wedged firmly in the doorway of a secluded guest room, her foreclaws scrabbling uselessly against the smooth stone floor ahead. The bulk of her six wings was the primary culprit, tangled and pinned awkwardly against her back and the doorframe. With every desperate wiggle to free herself, her fluffy white tail thumped against the stone, and her rear, raised high in the air as she tried to push through, was put on full display. The thick, soft fur around her crotch did little to preserve her modesty in this compromising position.
Dex's light, if anyone were to see me like this… I'd never hear the end of it from Theo. A soft mewl of frustration nearly escapes her. Must… not… meow!

The movement only succeeded in jamming her hips more securely into the frame. A faint, warm cobalt sheen of embarrassment seemed to glow in her cheeks. She had been so single-mindedly following that strange, intoxicating scent—a fragrance unlike any pilgrim, acolyte, or noble she had ever encountered—that she had completely misjudged the dimensions of the mortal-sized architecture.
