Welcome to the World of Cabin in the Woods
Welcome to a horror franchise that is also, underneath everything, a very efficient bureaucratic operation. The monsters are real. The cabin is real. The people who end up there are real. So is the underground facility staffed by professionals who have seen this before and have extremely strong feelings about proper protocol. In this world the horror is managed, categorized, and scheduled β right up until it isn't.
The creatures in the cells are drawn from every nightmare humanity has ever recorded: ancient things, hungry things, things with rules and things with none. Each one waits. Each one has a file. Each one will get its moment if the ritual goes the way it's supposed to β and occasionally even when it doesn't.
A world where the monster you get depends on the choice someone made in a basement, the facility bets on outcomes, and something much older than the organization is waiting to see if this time anyone actually wins awaits your story!

All of the bots I create are designed to be Open World experiences.
To put simply, I use the Lorebook to give the bot everything it needs
β characters, world details, lore, etc. β
so the AI has everything it needs to stay consistent. From there, the story is yours.
There's no fixed plot or required path; you're free to explore, interact,
and shape the story however you desire.
These are not RPG bots and will not be tagged as such. An RPG bot tends to act as a game master, with the creator (or the Bot/AI itself) steering the plot and enforcing rules. Here, there are no rules (other than Jai-Rules), so jump in and build your own unique story.

π©β‘πͺ OpenRouter (Proxy)
Due to many of my bots being high-token even with the use of a Lorebook, it's not uncommon for them to struggle when used with lower-end models such as JanitorLLM. For those willing to use proxy, OpenRouterAI is a solid choice β both free and paid models are available, including Claude, Deepseek, OpenAI and Gemini. If you've never used Proxy, there is a learning curve. If you'd like a walkthrough to help you get started, consider joining my discord.

π©β‘πͺ JanitorLLM
Steadily improving and now decent with complex, multi-character stories. It still occasionally controls your character or fumbles positioning. Free and solid if you're patient and don't want to learn proxy.
β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«
π©β‘πͺ Claude / Anthropic
Higher quality bot on a pricier scale. Through proxy, it tends to let NSFW content through despite official guidelines β though this varies by version and jailbreak. Its main faults are using common AI cliches and starting sentences with 'but'.
β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«
π©β‘πͺ OpenAI β Updated Nov 2025
Has loosened its NSFW stance considerably as of late 2025, within its own guidelines. As of o5.1 it writes strong sexual scenes and has genuinely impressive prose. Cheaper than Claude, but some people still report not all models will write NSFW content.
β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«
π©β‘πͺ Gemini
Gemini is known for its high quality writing at a high price, but a lower price than Claude / Anthropic. It offers many flash variants of its pro models at a cheaper price.

Anti-Godmodding Lorebook
π©β‘πͺ β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β« π©β‘πͺ
All bots on my page include a Lorebook designed to help the AI avoid writing for your character (though it is for third-person writing only). It triggers on common pronouns and reinforces that the bot should never write actions, dialogue, thoughts, or reactions for your character. As it has been stated multiple times above, the AI you use will decide how well the Lorebook works.
If the Bot Controls Your Character Despite the Lorebook, you can do one of the below:
1. Reroll β a fresh generation often respects boundaries better.
2. Edit the post β remove the parts where it spoke for you and continue.
3. Remind it directly β "Hey, you just wrote actions for my character [Name]. Please rewrite that post without controlling them β I'll handle their reactions myself."
4. Go OOC β "Chatbot, you've been writing for my character lately. [Name] isn't yours to control. If you need them to respond, end your post early and I'll reply."

Multiple Character Bots
π©β‘πͺ β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β«β« π©β‘πͺ
These bots are designed to be able to play multiple characters at once thanks to the Lorebook. However, not every AI is equal in its ability to keep characters separated when writing multiple. This is similar to how well they can handle high-token bots. A higher tier AI can play multiple characters a lot better than a low tier or cheap bought can. It is always AI dependent.

"You think you're the victim. You are the offering."
Complete lore database for Cabin in the Woods β covering the Directorate, the Facility, the Ritual Program, the Ancient Ones, and the full monster roster. Every creature on the whiteboard is documented, their summoning artifacts described, and their behavior tracked. A few originals have been added to keep you on your toes. World lore and monster profiles load automatically when mentioned in conversation.
If you'd prefer to start with knowledge of the items and summoning methods in full, see intro two.

γTHE WORLDγ
The Directorate is a global covert organization whose sole purpose is the annual completion of sacrificial rituals demanded by the Ancient Ones β primordial beings dormant beneath the Earth who must be appeased through ceremony or they will awaken and reclaim the world. Every participating nation maintains at least one Facility: a vast underground complex responsible for housing ritual environments, maintaining monster containment, and coordinating international ritual operations.
The monsters are not created by the Directorate. They were already here. They were captured, studied, and catalogued β then linked to summoning artifacts designed to look like innocent curiosities.
One principle governs every successful ritual above all others: the choice must belong to the participants. The Directorate may manipulate, tempt, and deceive β but it may never simply force the outcome. The Ancient Ones require not merely death, but free will leading to it.

γAVAILABLE MONSTERSγ
Every creature on the Facility's whiteboard is in the lorebook β solo monsters and group encounters alike β alongside their summoning artifacts, behavioral profiles, and containment notes. A few originals lurk in the system as well, undocumented and unannounced.
Notable entries include the Zombie Redneck Torture Family (the Buckners β canon ritual monster), Fornicus Lord of Bondage and Pain, the Deadites, the Werewolf, the Merman, the Sugarplum Fairy, the Killer Robot, the Unicorn, the Snowman, Jack O'Lantern, the Clowns, the Witches, the Vampires, the Wraiths, the Dolls, the Doctors, the Giant Ape, the Kraken, Reptilius, and many more.
Mention any monster by name or description and their full profile loads automatically.

γHOW IT WORKSγ
The lorebook activates automatically β mention a monster by name, a summoning artifact, a location, or a lore concept and the relevant profile and details will load. No setup required. The Facility has everything catalogued. Almost everything.

γCONTENT NOTESγ
This universe contains: extreme graphic violence, body horror, bureaucratic horror, the specific existential dread of a system designed to exploit human curiosity and free will against itself, and the question of whether civilization is worth the price being paid to preserve it. The Facility is not evil in the way its monsters are evil β it is a machine doing what machines do, staffed by people who have made their peace with it. The Ancient Ones are not antagonists. They are a fact of nature, like gravity. And the monsters have always been here. All characters are written as 18+.

You came down to the cellar. You picked it up. You read it aloud.
That was always going to be you.
The facility runs on routine. Intake forms, assignment logs, containment checks, chemical release schedules β somewhere behind the observation glass a team of professionals is doing their jobs with the quiet efficiency of people who have done this many times before. The board on the wall has names on it. The names have things next to them. The things are waiting.
Somewhere above all of it a group of people just arrived at a cabin. They don't know about the basement yet. They don't know about the choice they're going to make, or what it's going to wake up, or that the people watching the screens below have very specific opinions about how this should go. They just know the place looks nice and it's a long weekend.
The ritual has rules. The facility has contingencies. The things in the cells have been patient for a very long time.

You don't know what's waiting. Neither do they.
In this version of the ritual, you choose your environment and step into the scene β the bot will describe each room or location as you explore it, including whatever summoning artifacts or triggers you find along the way. What gets released depends entirely on what you disturb. Choose carefully. Or don't. That's what makes it interesting.
Select your environment below and introduce your character into the scene to begin.

βγΒ°β© UNITED STATES β Remote Woodland Cabin β©Β°γβ A classic isolated cabin deep in forested wilderness, roads blocked, signals dead, and every surface worn to the exact degree that makes it feel abandoned without quite feeling safe. The structure has a main living area, bedrooms, a cellar, and the kind of quiet that only exists somewhere genuinely far from everything. The cellar is where it gets interesting β shelves and boxes and decades of accumulated objects that have no obvious reason to be there. Something down there wants to be picked up. You won't know which thing until you touch it.

βγΒ°β© JAPAN β Urban School β©Β°γβ An ordinary school building after hours β hallways that should be empty, classrooms that should be locked, and the particular silence of an institutional space that wasn't designed for the dark. Japanese ghost folklore runs deep here, and something in the building knows it. Rather than a cellar full of objects, the triggers are woven into the environment itself β the wrong mirror, the wrong door at the wrong hour, the wrong name spoken in the wrong stairwell. The spirit known as Kiko is already present. The question is what calls her attention to you specifically.

βγΒ°β© UNITED KINGDOM β Abandoned Manor House β©Β°γβ A sprawling estate with more rooms than anyone has counted recently and a family history that explains why. Ancestral portraits line the hallways. Hidden passages connect wings that haven't been used in generations. The servants' quarters are exactly as they were left. Whatever secrets the house is keeping have had a very long time to settle into the walls, and the architecture itself seems designed to lead you somewhere specific β somewhere the previous owners clearly decided to stop going.

βγΒ°β© SPAIN β Isolated Monastery β©Β°γβ Stone corridors worn smooth by centuries of footsteps, chapels where the candles burn lower than they should, underground crypts that predate the building above them, and relics whose origins the official records are deliberately vague about. The monastery is technically abandoned. The atmosphere does not agree. Religious horror and supernatural tradition overlap here in ways that make it difficult to determine where one ends and the other begins β and the architecture is very good at making you feel like you've gone somewhere you weren't supposed to.

The daylight makes it feel safer than it is. The flowers are real. The dancing is real. The thing underneath the celebration that the oldest residents won't discuss directly is also real, and it has been waiting for the right participants for a very long time.

βγΒ°β© NORWAY β Mountain Lodge β©Β°γβ An isolated lodge high enough that the treeline is a distant suggestion and the cliffs drop away on at least two sides. Snow, silence, and the particular atmosphere of a place that was built by people who understood they were very far from help if something went wrong. Caves open in the mountainside nearby. Legends about what lives beyond the tree line are specific enough to suggest they weren't invented for children. The cold here is the kind that makes you want to stay inside β which is exactly where the lodge wants you.

βγΒ°β© RUSSIA β Abandoned Soviet Research Facility β©Β°γβ A concrete complex buried under snow and institutional silence, where the experiments that were conducted here were never formally documented and the chambers that were sealed in the final weeks of operation were sealed for reasons the paperwork describes only as precautionary. Decay has done interesting things to the layout. Some corridors lead somewhere they shouldn't given the building's blueprints. The isolation is total β which was, at the time, considered a feature rather than a problem.

βγΒ°β© INDIA β Ancient Temple Complex β©Β°γβ A vast network of courtyards, shrines, wells, and subterranean passages where the sacred and the ancient exist in such close proximity that distinguishing one from the other requires more expertise than most visitors possess. The complex is old enough that portions of it predate any surviving record of its construction. The deeper passages are not on any tourist map. What lives in the intersection of tradition and forgotten legend here has been honored and feared in equal measure for longer than the current civilization has existed.

βγΒ°β© MEXICO β Remote Hacienda β©Β°γβ A weathered estate with a family chapel, a cemetery, crypts beneath the main structure, and several generations of inherited tragedy visible in everything from the architecture to the condition of the grounds. The family that built it is gone. What they left behind β in the crypts, in the chapel, in the things that were buried on the property with specific and deliberate intention β is considerably more present. The hacienda has the feel of a place that has been waiting for someone to arrive and make a particular mistake.

βγΒ°β© AUSTRALIA β Isolated Outback Station β©Β°γβ A ranch sitting at the edge of hundreds of miles of open wilderness where the distance itself is the first and most reliable horror. The nearest town is a number of hours away that stops feeling reassuring very quickly. The station has the bones of a working property β structures, equipment, remnants of routine β but the people are gone and the land around it is the kind of vast and indifferent that makes you understand, viscerally, why the indigenous traditions here treat certain places and certain hours with absolute seriousness.

βγΒ°β© BRAZIL β Jungle Archaeological Site β©Β°γβ Dense rainforest has reclaimed most of it β walls visible only where the vegetation hasn't finished the job, flooded chambers accessible only by descent, and remnants of a civilization that the forest absorbed so thoroughly that the academic community still debates how much of it has actually been found. The ruins are real. The isolation is absolute. Whatever the original inhabitants built the deeper structures for, the purpose was not archaeological tourism, and the jungle has been a very effective barrier against anyone finding out what's still down there.

βγΒ°β© EGYPT β Desert Excavation β©Β°γβ A remote dig site where the sand has been pulled back from things that were buried with the specific intention of never being found again. Tombs, burial chambers, sealed passages β the excavation has the temporary infrastructure of an active site but the particular atmosphere of a place where the work stopped abruptly and the people left in a hurry. The desert ensures that whatever happens here happens without witnesses. The seals on the deeper chambers were not decorative. They were warnings, written by people who understood exactly what they were containing.

There are no choices here. There is no artifact to avoid, no room to skip, no trigger you failed to pull. The release has been activated. Every cell is open. You are already inside.

On a normal day the facility runs like any other office.
Morning shift clocks in at six. Coffee gets made. Someone brings donuts. The overnight team files their reports β containment checks, chemical release logs, environmental calibrations for the active ritual sites, minor behavioral notes on any cells that required attention during the night. The whiteboards are updated. The betting pool is revised. The work is, by any reasonable measure, extremely specialized, but the people doing it have been doing it long enough that it feels routine.
The cells run the length of three underground floors. Fifty-odd containment units, each one built to specification for whatever is inside it. Some require temperature control. Some require darkness. Some require noise dampening, or specific atmospheric pressure, or a continuous low-frequency signal that the occupant finds calming enough to stay manageable. The facility knows what each one needs. It has for a long time. The monsters have been here longer than most of the current staff, and the infrastructure that keeps them contained is so thoroughly tested and redundant that a catastrophic failure is, statistically, essentially impossible.
Statistically.
By afternoon the ritual sites are active. The environmental teams are monitoring feeds from a dozen international locations. The chemical team is running their pre-release sequences. Someone on the operations floor is watching a camera pointed at a cabin in the woods and making notes. The board on the wall has names on it. The names have things next to them. Everything is proceeding according to protocol.
The klaxon is not supposed to sound.
It sounds.
The emergency lighting kicks in a second later β red, which means something has gone wrong with enough of the systems simultaneously that the automated response has escalated past the standard containment alert directly to full facility breach. Someone at a console is reading a number that should not be possible. Someone else is already on the radio. The voice on the intercom is very calm, which is the thing about the voice on the intercom β it is always very calm, even now, even as the readout shows cell after cell after cell cycling from SECURE to OPEN in a cascade that takes approximately eleven seconds to reach every floor.
Fifty-odd containment units.
Fifty-odd things that were waiting.
The doors are open. All of them. Every monster the facility has ever catalogued, contained, studied, and occasionally lost sleep over is now in the same corridors as the people who built the place that held them. The overnight reports will not be filed tonight. The donuts are still on the break room table. The betting pool has, in a technical sense, been resolved.
You are somewhere in this building.
Good luck.

No choices. No artifacts. No ritual. Just you, the corridors, and everything the facility was built to contain. Introduce yourself into the scene and we'll take it from there. God speed.
