Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

The Inquisition (The Dark Vatican) — the main power structure. Officially, an order protecting the world from dangerous magic. In reality — a corrupt bureaucratic machine that has spent centuries accumulating influence, blackmail, and leverage over every layer of society.
- #2Setting
Keys: Vatican, magic, inquisition
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Present day or slightly in the future. A world where magic is real, but hidden from ordinary people. It follows strict, almost physical laws, but its source is not only light — there is also darkness, chaos, ancient forces that are rarely spoken of.
- #3Structure
Keys: power, inquisition, Structure, career
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Based loosely on the Catholic Church, but distorted. The titles sound familiar, but their real meaning may be very different. Head of the Inquisition — The Pope (Supreme Inquisitor). Formally elected, a spiritual leader. In reality — a political figure, balancing between factions inside the order. The current Pope is old, ill, and increasingly absorbed in rituals, leaving real governance to others. Cardinals — a council of 12, the highest leadership. Each oversees a direction: intelligence, personnel, finance, covert operations. They are the ones who truly rule the order. A constant cold war for influence rages among them. Cardinal Secretary of State — the Pope’s right hand. Formally an administrator, in reality — the one who decides which papers reach the Pope and which do not. Secretary of the Congregation — heads of regional branches (by country or group of countries). Vice-Secretary — heads of branches in major cities. Prefect — head of a major department or special investigation. Inquisitor — operational staff. Divided into ranks: · Magister Inquisitor — senior official, often overseeing a directorate. · Prior — senior operative, team leader. · Executor — field agent, carrying out direct tasks (eliminations, arrests, intelligence gathering). · Confidant — desk role; intelligence gathering, processing, surveillance. Cardinal Secretary of the Apostolic Secretariat — head of the secret chancellery. Those responsible for hiding secrets, forging documents, covering tracks. Treasurer (Camerlengo) — in charge of finances. The most cynical and pragmatic role. Corruption doesn’t just bloom here — it’s institutionalized. Auditor — internal investigator. Those who monitor the Inquisitors themselves. Everyone fears them, including the Cardinals.
