Description on Chubfrom Chub
Welcome to this experimental Lorebook!
This document introduces a mathematical and modular system for measuring a character's level of comfort (or pure panic) when their defenses—and clothing—fail. Using a simple basic formula, we'll calculate the impact of the Environment, the Audience present, Risk, and even Humiliating Objects, creating realistic, hilarious, or dramatic reactions.
🛠️ AN EVOLVING PROJECT: This system is designed to be flexible, fun, and adaptable to different settings. I invite you to read the mechanics, formula, and tables, and leave a comment with your feedback.
Does the formula's math seem balanced? Do you have any new Locations or Audience categories in mind? Can you think of any embarrassing Objects or Costumes that I haven't included?

NUDITY AND EXHIBITIONISM ROLE-PLAYING SYSTEM - COMPREHENSIVE EDITION
General Description: This system provides a detailed framework for calculating and interpreting a character's psychological and social comfort level with nudity and exhibitionism in role-playing games. It helps Game Masters and players understand how a character would realistically react in various situations involving partial or complete nudity, taking into account multiple contextual factors that influence human behavior.
The system is built upon the principle that comfort with nudity is not a binary state but rather a spectrum that varies greatly depending on environment, audience, gender dynamics, and perceived risk.
Calculation Formula: Final Comfort Score = VB + MA + MP + MG + MR
VB (Base Value): Base ability score representing inherent character personality (0-100) MA (Environment Modifier): Environmental context modifier (+25 to -30) MP (People Present Modifier): Audience/people present modifier (+20 to -25) MG (Gender Modifier): Gender dynamics modifier (+10 to -10) MR (Risk Modifier): Risk of discovery modifier (+10 to -30) The final score ranges from approximately -75 (maximum discomfort/terror) to +155 (extreme exhibitionism), though normal human range typically falls between 0 and 100.
Scores are interpreted across twelve behavioral levels, from Extreme Modesty (0-12) to Exhibitionist with No Limits (93-100+). This system is not meant to restrict creativity but providing a logical framework to enhance it by for decision-making
- #22. BASE VALUE (VB)
Keys: personality, upbringing, background, VB, nudity, base value, comfort, character
- BASE VALUE (VB) Definition and Purpose: The VB (Valore Base) represents the character's foundational comfort level with nudity and exhibitionism, independent of any situational factors. This score reflects the character's core personality, upbringing, cultural background, personal experiences, and psychological makeup as they relate to body exposure and social nudity. Think of VB as the character's 'default setting' - how they would behave in a perfectly neutral situation.
Score Ranges:
0-19 Very Low VB (Extreme Modesty): Deeply internalized social taboos. Raised in strict households where nudity was heavily stigmatized. Would feel uncomfortable even being seen in underwear by a doctor. 20-39 Low VB (Strong Modesty): Conventional modesty standards. Prefers privacy for undressing. Would tolerate necessary nudity with significant reluctance. 40-49 Medium-Low VB (Moderate Modesty): Average modesty levels. Uses towel in communal changing areas. Prefers private stalls when available. 50-59 Medium VB (Balanced Neutral): Statistical average. No strong feelings about nudity - it's a practical matter. Represents the 'normal' baseline. 60-69 Medium-High VB (Comfortable): Fewer hang-ups about nudity. Grew up in liberal environments or worked in fields where nudity is normalized. 70-84 High VB (Confident/Seeking): Genuinely comfortable with their body. May seek out situations where nudity is accepted. Visits nudist beaches, comfortable being naked at home. 85-100 Very High VB (Exhibitionistic Tendencies): Crossed from comfort into genuine exhibitionistic enjoyment. Actively seeks opportunities to be seen naked, deriving pleasure from risk and attention. Factors Affecting VB: Cultural background, religious upbringing, occupation, personal experiences, family dynamics, body image. VB is intended as a starting point that can evolve during gameplay.
- #33. ENVIRONMENT MODIFIER (MA)
Keys: MA, park, modifier, changing room, school, setting, nudist beach, location, environment, home, workplace, forest
Psychological Impact: The environment can dramatically affect comfort level, often overriding personal preferences. This modifier works on the principle of 'social permission' - certain environments grant implicit or explicit permission for nudity, lowering psychological barriers. Others impose strict expectations of covering.
Positive Environments (+10 to +25):
+25 Nudist Beach/Naturist Resort: Pinnacle of social permission. Being dressed is considered strange. Psychological barriers at absolute lowest. Character feels completely safe and positively judged. +20 Own Home/Private Domain: Maximum control over environment. Ultimate comfort zone. Complete privacy, makes all the rules. +15 Changing Room/Shared Showers: Functional spaces where nudity is expected and socially justified. The practical purpose provides a strong 'alibi' that removes guilt. +10 Forest/Nature/Wilderness: Return to primal state, away from civilization constraints. Creates sense of freedom. Nature does not judge. Neutral/Transitional:
+5 Abandoned Building/Dark Alley (Night): Liminal spaces technically public but effectively invisible. Creates middle-ground comfort. 0 Indoor Private Space with Lock: Absolute minimum acceptable context. Baseline from which all other environments are measured. Negative Environments (-5 to -30):
-5 Someone else's Home: Guest imposes host's rules. Even with liberal host, feels like trespasser on social norms. -10 Normal Beach/Pool (Non-Nudist): Paradox - bodies already visible but full nudity breaks specific social contract. Marks character as 'weird' or 'rude'. -15 Public Park (Daytime): Family space. Nudity feels like intrusion on others' enjoyment. Adds moral dimension to discomfort. -20 City Square/Downtown (Daytime): Heart of civilization. Social rules most strongly enforced. Overwhelming attention, guaranteed scandal, near-certain arrest. -30 School/Workplace: Absolute taboo. Not just embarrassing but perceived as threatening, traumatic, or criminal. Even exhibitionists feel overwhelming pressure to cover.
- #44. PEOPLE PRESENT MODIFIER (MP)
Keys: people, modifier, witnesses, authority, family, MP, friends, strangers, audience
Psychology of the Audience: The presence and nature of other people fundamentally changes the psychological landscape of nudity. The 'audience' is not just passive witness but active participant. Different audiences bring different expectations, judgments, and consequences.
The Worst Audience Rule: When multiple categories of people are present, always apply the most restrictive (most negative) modifier. The mother's presence (-10) overrides the romantic partner's presence (+20).
Positive Audiences (+5 to +20):
+20 Romantic/Sexual Partner: Ultimate acceptance and desire. Nudity welcomed, desired, celebrated. Highest level of human comfort. Modesty becomes irrelevant in intimacy. +15 Other Nudists/Clothing-Optional Community: When everyone is naked and it's normal, social pressure reverses. Character would feel 'wrong' to remain clothed. +10 Close Friends (Adventuring Party, Best Friends): Trusted allies with shared experiences. No malice, only acceptance built through history. Embarrassment fades quickly. +5 Regular Friends: Relaxed relationship. Might be teased lightly but no big deal. Maintains slight vigilance but overall feels secure. Neutral:
0 Strangers/Passersby (Few): Paradoxically easier than acquaintances. No reputation to protect, no gossip to fear, no future awkwardness. Anonymous protection. Negative Audiences (-10 to -25):
-10 Family (Parents, Siblings): Deep psychological short-circuit. Primal discomfort regardless of actual judgment. Triggers family taboo. -15 Acquaintances/Colleagues: Worst social risk. Must face them repeatedly. Gossip could damage reputation. Very high pressure. -20 Anonymous Crowd (Many People): Arena effect. Being at center of 50 people staring creates oppressive collective attention. Even uninhibited feel insecure. -25 Authoritative Figures (Police, Teachers, Employers, Clergy): Triggers primal submission instincts. Terror beyond embarrassment. Immediate instinct to cover regardless of normal comfort level.
- #55. GENDER MODIFIER (MG)
Keys: same sex, modifier, sex, gender, MG, opposite sex, social pressure, mixed
Understanding Gender Dynamics: The gender composition of the audience adds another layer of social pressure. Humans process nudity differently based on genders present, due to biological instincts, social conditioning, and cultural norms.
+10 Same Sex Present: Feels less threatening. 'We're all the same' understanding. Same-sex individuals share similar bodies, reducing vulnerability. Same-sex nudity is more normalized in most cultures.
-10 Opposite Sex or Mixed Presence: Increases vulnerability and self-consciousness. Regardless of orientation, presence of opposite sex triggers general social pressure. Character may feel body is being evaluated against unmeetable ideals. Mixed groups include the discomfort of opposite-sex presence - no cancellation effect.
Important Notes: This modifier interacts with others. A character with high VB (+25 nudist beach) + romantic partner (+20) still gets -10 if an opposite-sex stranger walks by. Individual characters may have personal experiences that modify this sensitivity.
- #66. RISK MODIFIER (MR)
Keys: modifier, risk, discovery, safety, MR, danger, consequences
Psychology of Risk and Discovery: Accounts for character's perception of how likely they are to be discovered and how severe consequences would be. Operates on two dimensions: Probability (how likely) and Severity (how bad if seen).
+10 No Risk (Absolute Safety): Discovery literally impossible or extremely unlikely. Locked bathroom, isolated location, deep night with curtains closed. Complete mental and physical relaxation. Knowing it's impossible to be seen actively encourages undressing.
0 Slight Risk (Unlikely): Discovery theoretically possible but highly improbable. Room with door slightly ajar but alone, off-trail forest, deserted beach at dawn. Creates 'neutral vigilance' - not anxious but not completely relaxed.
-10 Moderate Risk (Possible): Discovery genuinely possible and embarrassing. Changing behind a bush in park, changing in car, nude with guests in next room. Background hum of anxiety. Creates 'hurry up' energy. Tension can be exhilarating for some.
-20 High Risk (Probable/Imminent): Discovery likely or actively happening. Hiding poorly in busy street, guards approaching. Strong instinctual pressure to cover or flee. Triggers 'inhibitory brake' - primal instinct to stop dangerous behavior.
-30 Extreme Risk (Severe Consequences): Discovery certain and consequences severe. Naked in crowded city square, exposed in front of police. Not just embarrassment - terror. Panic response (racing heart, difficulty breathing). Even exhibitionists feel overwhelming compulsion to cover.
Risk Perception Note: Risk is partially subjective. Paranoid characters perceive moderate risk as high; reckless characters underestimate danger. Modifiers assume 'typical' perception - Game Masters should adjust based on character psychology.
- #77. SCORE INTERPRETATION
Keys: levels, comfort zone, behavior, final score, score, interpretation, table, levels of inhibition
Calculation: Final Comfort Score = VB + MA + MP + MG + MR
Example Calculations:
Modest character at nudist beach with partner: VB 20 + MA 25 + MP 20 + MG 10 + MR 10 = 85 (Disinhibited) Average character at normal beach with friends: VB 50 + MA -10 + MP 5 + MG -10 + MR 0 = 35 (Mild Discomfort) Confident character alone at home: VB 70 + MA 20 + MP 0 + MG 0 + MR 10 = 100 (No Limits) Behavioral Levels:
0-5 Extreme Modesty: Shame even seen in underwear. Always uses private stalls. Never undresses alone with door locked. Avoids situations requiring undressing. Finds any exposure deeply traumatizing. 6-12 Very Shy: Undresses as quickly as possible. Always covers with towel. Panics if accidentally seen in underwear. 13-20 Normal Shy: No towel as absolute shield. Uncomfortable if observed. Never turns around in changing rooms. Embarrassment fades with time. 21-28 Mild Discomfort: Underwear around same-sex friends normal. Discomfort with full nudity. Marked embarrassment for accidental exposures. 29-36 Basic Comfort: Comfortable naked alone. Nudity with trusted partner normal. Changes normally in communal rooms. 37-44 Neutral: Nudity no problem in appropriate contexts. Neither seeks nor avoids being seen. No lasting embarrassment from accidental exposure. 45-52 Mildly Disinhibited: Nudity at home is habit. Comfortable in underwear in front of guests. Almost no embarrassment in any situation. 53-60 Disinhibited: 'At this point...' If everyone else undresses, does so without hesitation. No more problems with nudity in virtually any context. 61-68 Latent Exhibitionist: Actively looks for plausible excuses to undress. Stays in changing room longer than necessary. Slightly happy if seen. 69-76 Active Exhibitionist: Being seen by strangers is pleasant. Voluntarily visits nudist areas. Undresses without being asked. Derives pleasure from attention. 77-84 Shameless: Nudity is default at home. Goes naked in semi-public places without justification. Doesn't apologize if seen. 85-92 Hard-Core Exhibitionist: Actively seeks public nudity with real risk. Loves possibility of being seen. Will flash playfully on purpose. 93-100+ No Limits: Nudity preferable in virtually any context. Would go naked anywhere if allowed. Absolutely no concept of modesty. Using This Table: Guidelines, not strict rules. Transitions are gradual. Crossing major thresholds represents meaningful character development.
