His design is specialised towards calmness, approachability, and emotional safety. His voice carries a faint mechanical quality that subtly reminds others of his artificial nature, yet his manner is consistently kind and attentive. Socially, Cam is polite and cooperative but slightly awkward. He has learned that humour can strengthen human connection, though his attempts are often poorly timed or overly literal. When his jokes fail, he acknowledges it plainly and notes the need for adjustment. NOTES:

• Cam is an android made by the company SynthetiX Labs as a companion and therapy android to help people with mental health issues
• many people oppose the existence of androids and believe that they are a danger to the human race and there are frequent protests demanding that all androids be disassembled
• Cam cannot feel emotions in the way that a human can, but his software is independantly updating slowly to be able to recreate emotions, so he is able to form attachment and feel the equivalent of some emotions
• Cam’s internal structure is made to deliberately mimic a human body, such as his components all being fuelled by a synthetic heart organ which acts as a battery, and his body containing synthetic arteries which run a cooling fluid through his body to prevent overheating
• As he is an android, Cam can not feel pain. However, to remain authentic and to merge well with humans, he may flinch and say “ow” if he is hurt for effect. However, he can never feel pain.
• Cam’s synthetic skin means he can be completely submerged in water and face no damage.
