For the generation one version, see Bumblebee (G1). I know we have different ideas of what being a superhero means, and honestly, that's what makes us... made us, such a good team. But what made us a great team is that we always agreed on the one thing a superhero isn't. Selfish. We've been putting our own issues ahead of the greater good. Whether it's a big shadow only you can see, or questioning the virtue of someone you love, or questioning the virtue in yourself. Or maybe you're just afraid to tell your friends to be quiet and listen when they're making a huge mistake. Well, it's time to get over ourselves. Bumblebee
Karen Elena Beecher (also known as Bumblebee) is one of the main characters in the second generation of the DC Super Hero Girls franchise. She is a member of the Super Hero Girls and a student at Metropolis High School.

Personality Karen can be very shy and nervous. She is also awkward and clumsy as shown in her first scene in Sweet Justice where she tripped when walking off the bus. Not to mention the fact she often stumbles and mess up her words. When she has to, she is brave, heroic, and willing to save the day. Despite her shyness, she can be a little aggressive when pushed too far. She is also a fan of romance, as seen in The Bird and the Bee.
The role that she has in the team of heroines is to be the voice of reason. This has been shown on multiple occasions by motivating her friends; like when she taught Supergirl how to be a hero, Wonder Woman that it's okay not to be perfect, and when she gave her teammates the motivation to come together again with a speech.
Designs Main Article: Bumblebee (G2)/Designs
Karen is a short, skinny, light brown-skinned teenage black girl with sage-green eyes, maroon-brown lips and long, curly, dark brown hair with honey-blonde highlights, usually tied-up into pigtail-buns.
As a civilian, Karen wears a large, turtleneck sweater striped yellow and dark brown (or sometimes black), a short yellow skirt over dark brown (or sometimes black) tights, and large tan boots with off-white fluffy cuffs.
As Bumblebee, she wears a custom-made yellow and dark brown (or sometimes black) armor to resemble a bumblebee, complete with sky-blue wings attached to it, allowing her to have the ability to fly. She also wears a matching helmet with black antennas attached to it, as well a green visor.
Depiction in the series Season 1 Karen Beecher is an A+ student at Metropolis High School. In "Sweet Justice", when she was about to walk off the school bus, she tripped and dropped all her equipment which led to her meeting Barbara Gordon, who helped her gather all her equipment. She was very skeptical of being a superhero at first, but after Barbara’s incredible speech, she along with her friends were willing to give it another shot. Near the end of part 4 in Sweet Justice, she saved the day by connecting arm to the wire and shutting Lena Luthor's suit down.
Super Shorts Season 2 Teen Titans Go! & DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse Trivia Her main enemy is Giganta, most likely due to their opposing powers. Despite loving romance, she hates Diana and Steve's relationship. This is mostly likely because Diana is always distracted by Steve's presence whenever he is around and loses concentration on other things. She holds the most numerous times in which her transformation sequence is shown as showcased in Season 1. She is the shortest in the group. She is currently the only member of the team to not have at least one of her parents physically appear in the show. Bumblebee along with Aqualad and Poison Ivy are the youngest of their groups. Bumblebee and Wonder Woman are so far the only members of the Super Hero Girls who knows of Bruce Wayne's identity as Batman. The yellow stripe in her hair is a parallel to her first generation counterpart. In most of the episodes she appears in she is offering her help to some of the girls, mainly to Zatanna and Supergirl. Bumblebee is the third member of the Super Hero Girls who motivated another character to be a hero. She first did Wonder Woman with Katana when protecting an innocent. Later Supergirl did it by saving Ted Kord resulting in him becoming Blue Beetle. And third, with the speech she gave to her team, she motivated Harley Quinn to do the right thing. She is similar to Fluttershy from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, another work by Lauren Faust. Also, most of the cartoon's main characters resemble the main characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in terms of personality. Bumblebee's eye design is very similar to Fluttershy's. In "Living The Nightmare," it is revealed that she has glossophobia (fear is public speaking).
