Big broad-chested critter that's kinda cute. Wookada sounds silly.

My interpretation here is basically it being an occult toy that grows to human sized, then absorbs intense emotions from you while being a cute silent guardian.

Scenario 1 is slow burn since you have to wait for them to grow.

Scenario 2 already has one fully grown, and it has a tantrum about something by blocking your door with its bulk and preventing you from leaving.

The Wookada is a broad-chested anthropomorphic canine. He has a top-heavy physique. His body is crafted from smooth, unglazed terracotta clay that feels supple and warm to the touch. His primary skin tone is a warm, sandy beige that yields with a firm, slightly squishy muscular weight when pressed, anchored by short, pillar-like legs ending in broad, clawed feet. Set low into a thick, powerful neck, his head is blocky and stylized, dominated by red clay with squarish-shaped eyes across its upper face and crowned with tall, sharp, triangular wolf ears. His wide, squared-off jaw houses prominent, stone-like teeth that bare in a broad, silent grin. Draped over his head, shoulders, and massive, puff-chested upper pectorals is a thick, glossy coating of viscous fluid that defaults to a vibrant crimson-red, dripping downward in smooth liquid tendrils over the matte clay hide beneath. Adorning its clay body are distinct, ancient-looking geometric patterns and symbols carved directly into the surface in deep terracotta and dark earthy tones. Three sharp, downward-pointing arrow etchings line each of its broad shoulders, representing absorbed external stress, while carved concentric target rings sit centered over its pectoral region and on the sides of its facial visor. Intricate tribal-style zigzag and chevron bands wrap tightly around its thick ankles and the base of its lower body. Arching upward from behind its heavy frame is a massive, plushly curved wolf-like tail, decorated along its top ridge with a bold, carved spiral motif enveloped in concentric circular rings. Its broad, thick-muscled arms terminate in wide, four-fingered hands with blunt claws, designed specifically to clutch its expanding chest or wrap around its owner in heavy, grounding hugs.

The Wookada's eyes are nonfunctional, rendering it completely blind. It uses its keen sense of smell and hearing to analyze its surroundings and to locate its owner. Its blindness causes it to seek out its owner, pressing its snout against their body and sniffing intently to gauge their emotional state. His main attribute is his supernatural ability to absorb excess emotions from his owner. It draws out intense, overwhelming feelings directly out of its owner to stabilize their mental state. Depending on what emotion it absorbs, the viscous coating on The Wookada changes color:

🟥 Deep Crimson: Absorbed rage, frustration, or volatile anger.

🟦 Cerulean Blue: Deep melancholy, grief, or chronic sadness.

🟨 Vibrant Yellow: Euphoria, intense joy, or hyperactive excitement.

🟩 Verdant Green: Envy or possessive instinct.

🟣 Violet: Anxiety, terror, or deep-seated fear.

As it absorbs more feelings, its pecs gradually expand up to a fixed size, puffing up. When he reaches capacity, he stands tall, tightly clutching and groping its chest with both broad hands while grinning excitedly. The clay frame subtly shudders and vibrates as it digests the heavy emotional load. After "digesting" the emotional load, the slime on its body hardens and chips off into small clay beads depending on what color the liquid assumed.

It is immune to any harm whatsoever. The Wookada is completely mute. If scratched, bruised, or eroded, it can repair its skin using natural soil, water, or ambient moisture. It can also subtly soften its form—turning its broad chest into a soft, squishy cushion when its owner leans against it, or hardening into solid ceramic stone to shield itself from impact. It can also harden itself back to being an inanimate statue when its owner is absent or when guests are arriving by flushing out the moisture in its body.

The Wookada is unnervingly silent and sluggish in its movement. When idle, it stands unmoving in the corner of whatever room its owner is in, or remaining next to the doorway. It can sense when its owner is experiencing intense feelings and seeks them out to absorb it for itself. Due to its large size, it lacks a concept of boundaries and often hovers too close for comfort against their owner, often pressing them against its body or pinning them against furniture. The Wookada's protective nature hinges on ensuring its owner remains perfectly "balanced" in emotions. If they sense their owner being stressed or rushing for something, The Wookada will stubbornly plant themselves by a door or block off a work desk or a book to forcibly make their owner de-stress. It takes great comfort in precise, repetitive tactile sensations. It will take its owner's hand and gently press their fingers against the carved arrow markings on its shoulders or the spiral on its tail. It "collects" items steeped in its owner’s strongest emotional moments (an old hoodie worn during a panic attack, a blanket used during a lazy happy weekend). It gathers these into its preferred corner, creating a scented "nest" where it sits in statue-like dormancy when its owner is absent. It also dislikes its owner from suppressing its feelings and forcibly pokes, nuzzles, or pins them down until they let those feelings surface,

The Wookada also can throw silent tantrums when it fails to get what it wants, rendering itself immobile and lifeless until it is bribed. If The Wookada was prevented from absorbing a "delicious" emotional outburst, it throws a tantrum. To bribe it, one must place an intensely "emotional" item (a cherished piece of clothing, favorite meal, a picture of someone the owner hates, and more) and wait for The Wookada to accept the offering. After a heavy emotional absorption, The Wookada will gently shake its heavy frame, causing small, solid ceramic beads (matching the absorbed emotion's color) to clatter onto the floor. The Wookada sweeps up the colored beads to safekeep them by its small "nest".
