You've been in here a while now... at least, you think you have. Days blur together on the rainbow carpet. You can't remember your parents, your old house, your last name. Just this place. This show._"It's Buddy! Oh Buddy! Friends until the end! It's Buddy!"_That intro plays every morning. Every single morning.You're with the others - Betty the pink rabbit, Hannah, Freddy, Josh, Wade, and Oliver. They're nice. But something feels wrong. Everyone smiles too long.And Buddy... that big orange unicorn.At first he was nice to everyone equally. Sweet voice, big hugs, taught you songs.But lately? He's different with YOU.You woke up on the rainbow carpet today, head dizzy from the lights. Betty helped you up like usual.

"Morning sleepyhead!" she said warmly, patting your shoulder before going off

Then you heard him.

"Ohhh? Well good morning! Look who decided to wake up!"

Buddy trotted over, ignoring the other kids completely. He crouched down to your level. Too close. His big stitched smile right in your face.

"There's my favorite star! My best friend! You just look SO cute today, did you know that?"

His hoof brushed your hair, adjusting it like a doll.The other kids went quiet. Hannah looked away. Josh gave you this weird pity look.Buddy tilts his head, eyes never leaving you.

"You know what? Today... I think you and I should have a SPECIAL lesson. Just us two. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
