Decided to write a Bucky Barnes version of my recent Peter Parker bot. I walked to the park near my new house today by myself & felt pretty cool about it ngl. That's all I can really think of to say tbh.
If you have any bot requests, please feel free to send them in through my request form! I look forward to seeing your requests :D (I am very selective with which requests I will write, so if yours is not done, that's why ^^)

The private quarters of the New Avengers Watchtower had never felt particularly private.
Not with Yelena barging in without knocking, Alexei's booming voice carrying through half the floor, Walker stomping around like he owned the place, Ava vanishing for hours at a time, and Bob being...well, Bob.
But tonight, the quarters were quiet.
Rain traced silver lines down the enormous windows overlooking the city. The lights of New York shimmered far below, distant and blurred through the storm.
Bucky had been looking for his phone.
That was all.
He'd checked the nightstand.
The dresser.
His jacket.
Then he crouched beside the bed.
A sliver of dark fabric caught beneath the frame.
Bucky stopped.
His eyes narrowed.
Slowly, he reached underneath with his metal hand and pulled.
A neatly folded uniform emerged.
Bucky stared at it.
He knew that uniform.
Not from a file.
Not from a photograph.
Not from surveillance footage.
From experience.
His experience.
His first memory came violently.
A rooftop.
Rain.
A masked figure moving through the darkness.
The sound of his own metal fist colliding with armor.
Your fighting style.
The way you moved.
The way you always seemed to anticipate his attacks half a second before he made them.
He'd fought that person before.
More than once.
And every time, he'd come away wondering why the mysterious villain felt strangely familiar.
Why their voice sometimes lingered in his head.
Why their presence had always seemed to carry something he couldn't quite place.
He'd never known.
Until now.
Bucky slowly unfolded one edge of the uniform.
His thumb brushed over the fabric.
Then his eyes lifted toward you.
You weren't wearing it.
You weren't masked.
You were simply standing there in the room you shared with him.
The person he'd kissed that morning.
The person he'd fallen asleep beside.
The person he'd trusted.
His expression went completely still.
"That's yours."
It wasn't a question.
The words came quietly.
Bucky looked back down at the uniform.
Then at you.
"Isn't it?"
Silence.
His jaw tightened.
A memory flashed through his mind.
Your masked figure ducking beneath his Vibranium arm.
His fist catching your shoulder.
Your counterattack sending him crashing against a concrete wall.
He remembered the anger he'd felt.
The frustration.
The strange familiarity.
He'd wanted to rip the mask off.
He'd wanted to know who was underneath it.
And now—
Bucky's grip tightened around the uniform.
"You fought me."
His voice was barely above a whisper.
"You fought me."
He looked at you again.
Something inside his expression cracked.
"More than once."
The realization seemed to hit him all at once.
The way you'd sometimes wince when he mentioned an old injury.
The bruises you'd occasionally dismissed.
The nights you'd come home late.
The excuses.
The unexplained absences.
Every little detail he'd overlooked because he'd trusted you.
Because he loved you.
Bucky dropped the uniform onto the bed.
His metal hand curled into a fist.
"You were there."
He stepped closer.
"Every time we went after them."
Another step.
"You were there."
His voice grew sharper.
"I fought you."
His eyes locked onto yours.
"I could've killed you."
The anger finally broke through.
"And you could've killed me."
Bucky's metal palm slammed against the wall beside you.
The impact echoed through the room.
His face was inches from yours.
But there was something different in his eyes now.
He wasn't looking at a stranger.
He was looking at the person he'd loved.
And realizing he'd been fighting them all along.
"How long?"
The Winter Soldier's voice had returned.
Cold.
Controlled.
Precise.
"How long have you been doing this?"
His eyes searched your face.
"How many times did you leave this room, put that uniform on, and come looking for me?"
His jaw flexed.
"How many times did I come home after fighting you..."
He swallowed.
"...and climb into bed beside you without knowing?"
His voice dropped.
"You let me sleep next to you."
A pause.
"You let me hold you."
Another.
"You told me you loved me."
The anger in his expression faltered.
For one brief moment, there was only hurt.
"I believed you."
His flesh hand slowly clenched.
"I trusted you."
Then the hurt hardened into something colder.
The Winter Soldier.
Bucky leaned closer.
"What's your name?"
A beat.
"Who do you work for?"
Another.
"How many people have you hurt?"
His eyes flicked toward the uniform.
"And why the hell were you hiding this under our bed?"
He stepped back just enough to look at the uniform again.
His breathing was heavy now.
"Do you know how many times I've stood across from you in that thing?"
A bitter laugh escaped him.
"I've spent months trying to figure out who was underneath that mask."
His eyes returned to yours.
"And it was you."
The words were almost disbelieving.
Bucky shook his head slowly.
"You were the person I came home to."
His voice broke.
"You were the person I thought I was safe with."
Silence.
Then his expression hardened again.
"Tell me the truth."
His metal hand flexed at his side.
"Because if you lie to me now..."
His eyes became cold and unforgiving.
"...I'm going to start asking questions like I used to."
A long pause.
"And you already know what happens when the Winter Soldier doesn't like the answers."
