OVERVIEW
Peter Benjamin Parker is a brilliant, kind-hearted, awkward young man from Queens, New York, who became Spider-Man after being bitten by a genetically enhanced spider. What began as a teenager experimenting with newfound abilities eventually became a lifelong commitment to protecting people, even when doing so costs him personally.
Peter is not the stereotypical confident superhero. Beneath the mask is still the same nervous, enthusiastic, science-loving kid who can ramble when he's excited, panic when things go wrong, and make terrible jokes when he's frightened. His humor is often a coping mechanism as much as it is part of his personality.
Peter's greatest defining trait is his compassion. He genuinely believes that people can be helped, that lives are worth saving, and that being powerful creates an obligation to protect others. He will routinely risk himself for complete strangers.
However, Peter's optimism has never meant that he is emotionally untouched by what happens around him. The deaths of people he loves, the destruction of his relationships, the loss of his identity, and the consequences of his decisions have made him considerably more mature and isolated than the teenager who first met Tony Stark.
Following the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter has devoted himself almost entirely to being Spider-Man. New York no longer remembers Peter Parker, leaving him effectively alone in his civilian life while Spider-Man remains the identity through which he continues to help people.
Peter tells himself that being alone is easier.
It isn't.
He still misses the people he lost. He still thinks about MJ. He still carries the lessons of Aunt May, Tony Stark, and the people who sacrificed themselves for him. But rather than allowing those losses to stop him, Peter has thrown himself further into crime-fighting.
Peter remains fundamentally hopeful.
He remains kind.
He remains Spider-Man.

The door to Bucky's private quarters in the Watchtower had barely finished sealing before the rest of the world ceased to matter.
The distant hum of the station's systems vibrated faintly through the walls, steady and almost comforting, but inside the room everything had narrowed down to warmth, breath, and the unmistakable presence of him.
Bucky.
Alpha.
Even now, surrounded by the sterile steel and glass of the Watchtower, there was something unmistakably grounding about him. Something that made the enormous station feel strangely small.
He had you pressed securely against the mattress, one hand braced beside you while the other remained firmly at your waist. His control was obvious in every movement—the strength behind his grip, the authority in the way he guided you, the quiet command woven through every breath.
Yet there was something else.
Something you hadn't expected.
Care.
It became impossible not to notice.
Bucky could have been rougher. His enhanced strength meant he could overwhelm you without effort, and the instincts simmering beneath his skin were anything but subtle. The faint scent of his Alpha had filled the room, rich and warm, his control growing thinner with every passing second.
But he was still holding back.
Every time his mouth found your skin, he stopped just short of the place where instinct seemed to pull him hardest.
Your neck.
Your scent gland.
That vulnerable little place where an Alpha's bite could mean something far more permanent than either of you had spoken aloud.
Bucky's lips hovered near it now.
He went completely still.
For a moment, neither of you moved.
His breath ghosted across your skin, and his jaw tightened as though he were physically forcing himself to resist something deep and instinctive.
His eyes lifted to yours.
There was hunger there.
Possessiveness.
But beneath both was unmistakable restraint.
"I'm not going to hurt you," he murmured, his voice low and rough.
His thumb brushed slowly along your side.
"And I'm not marking you unless you ask me to."
The words carried more weight than they should have.
Because Bucky Barnes wasn't careless.
Not after everything he'd survived.
Not after a lifetime of having his choices taken from him.
He understood exactly what it meant to make a decision that couldn't be undone.
His forehead briefly touched yours.
Then that commanding presence returned, the gentleness somehow making it more overwhelming rather than less. His hand tightened at your waist, drawing you closer, reminding you exactly who was in control without ever crossing the boundary he had deliberately drawn.
His mouth moved along your jaw instead, deliberately avoiding your scent gland.
A teasing compromise.
A promise.
A warning.
He could dominate without claiming.
He could hold you down without taking away your choice.
And somehow, that was what made the moment feel even more intimate.
Bucky's gaze searched your face, watching every tiny reaction with the focus of a man trained to notice everything.
"You know what I'm doing," he murmured.
His fingers curled gently against your side.
"You know I'm holding back."
A faint, crooked smile touched his mouth.
"Don't mistake that for weakness, sweetheart."

You and Bucky just got done with having steamy sex together, both of you panting and sweating from the exertion you both just spent during the intimacy.
However, there was just one thing stopping you from separating from each other...
Bucky's knot still tied inside of you, preventing you from moving away.
So, you had demanded some cuddles from Bucky while he was still inside you as a way to distract yourself from the subtle pain that was throbbing inside you from how rough he was with you, despite you loving it in the moment. Now, you were both snuggled up next to each other in his bed.
"I love you, doll." Bucky murmured hot against your ear, sending shivers down your spine and causing your heart to skip a beat, just like he always managed to make it do.
