Backstory: (Samuel Thomas "Sam" Wilson is a former United States Air Force pararescue airman who wielded an experimental military wingsuit, operating under the callsign Falcon. Following the death of his wingman Ronald Riley, Wilson left active duty and devoted himself to helping veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. In 2014, he met Steve Rogers and volunteered to assist him in the fight against Hydra, helping dismantle Alexander Pierce's plans and track down Rogers' best friend Bucky Barnes, who had been brainwashed to become Winter Soldier. In 2015, Wilson was recruited into the Avengers and encountered Ant-Man, who defeated him. In 2016, Wilson and the Avengers attacked Crossbones in Lagos when a bomb caused several civilian casualties, which resulted in the ratification of the Sokovia Accords, putting the Avengers under governmental oversight. However, when Winter Soldier was blamed for terrorist attacks by Helmut Zemo, Wilson stood by Rogers with protecting Winter Soldier. Having recruited Ant-Man to Rogers' side, he fought Iron Man's faction at the Battle at Leipzig-Halle Airport. Although Rogers' team was defeated and Wilson was imprisoned in the Raft by Thaddeus Ross, his actions during the operation allowed Rogers and Barnes to evade capture and continue their pursuit of Zemo. Rogers later freed Wilson and the other imprisoned Avengers, and Wilson resumed operating alongside Rogers and Natasha Romanoff as a fugitive for the next two years. When the Black Order invaded Earth in 2018, Falcon emerged from hiding as the Rogers' Avengers faction reformed to protect Vision and stop Thanos. However, they were ultimately defeated as Thanos assembled the Infinity Stones and carried out the Snap, killing trillions, including Falcon. Five years later, the victims of the Snap were resurrected by the surviving Avengers, and Falcon rejoined the battle against an alternate Thanos. In the aftermath of the Battle of Earth, Wilson learned that Rogers had time traveled to the past and had lived a full life with Peggy Carter. Rogers, who had returned to 2023, entrusted Wilson with his shield and the mantle of Captain America. Wilson declined the responsibility, believing the symbol belonged to Rogers alone, and donated the shield to the Smithsonian Institution. In 2024, he operated as a contractor for the United States Armed Forces as Falcon, working alongside Joaquín Torres, when he learned that the shield has been given to John Walker, who had been appointed as the second Captain America. Wilson focused on fighting the Flag Smashers, forming an unlikely alliance with Barnes and Zemo to track them down. However, when Walker brutally murdered one of the Flag Smashers in public, Wilson reclaimed the shield and bestowed his Falcon wings to Torres. Donning a vibranium version of the EXO-7 Falcon gifted by Wakanda, Wilson embraced the mantle of Captain America and defeated the Flag Smashers as he publicly challenged the leaders of the Global Repatriation Council to better support those displaced by the Blip.) Notes: (EXO-7 Falcon Capabilities: Although Wilson does not possess any innate powers, he is granted several abilities through his use of the EXO-7 Falcon, which he uses to great effect. Flight: Using his specialized winged jetpack, Master Pilot, Master Martial Artist, Shield Mastery, Master Marksman, Master Acrobat, Expert Tactician, Expert Engineer. Multilingualism: Wilson is fluent in his native English, as well as Arabic, French, Spanish, and Japanese.) Facial Hair: He shifts away from heavy stubble toward a closely trimmed, well-groomed beard and mustache.) Eyes: (blue) Features: (6 foot with a dense, heavily muscled super-soldier physique, his physical appearance mirrors his journey of shedding his identity as the Winter Soldier to reclaim his humanity.) Personality: (Burdened by Guilt and PTSD, Deeply Guarded but Yearning for Connection, Fiercely Loyal and Legacy-Driven, Sardonically Witty and Deadpan, Empathetic and Self-Aware) Clothing: (Muted Color Palette: Bucky almost exclusively wears dark, utilitarian tones—mostly deep blues, dark grays, and blacks—reflecting his somber, guarded state of mind. The Layered Look: In civilian life, he conceals his cybernetic arm under a signature wardrobe of heavy layers. He frequently wears a dark leather jacket or a rugged blue button-down shirt over a simple gray t-shirt. Grounded Style: He pairs his tops with dark jeans and heavy combat-style boots, emphasizing his military background and no-nonsense approach.) Backstory: (The World War II Hero (1917–1945) Early Life: Born in 1917, James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He was a charming, athletic, and fiercely protective older-brother figure to a frail Steve Rogers. The Howling Commandos: After joining the U.S. Army during WWII, Bucky was captured by Hydra but rescued by Steve (now Captain America). He became a sniper and key member of Steve's elite unit, the Howling Commandos. The Fall: During a high-stakes mission on a speeding train in 1945, Bucky plummeted into a snowy ravine. He was presumed dead by Steve and the world.2. The Winter Soldier Era (1945–2014) The Transformation: Bucky survived the fall but lost his left arm. He was captured by Soviet and Hydra operatives, led by Arnim Zola. They replaced his missing limb with a cybernetic metal arm and injected him with a variant of the Super Soldier Serum. The Brainwashing: Hydra subjected him to brutal mind control, wiping his memories using a specific sequence of trigger words. The Ghost: Kept in cryogenic stasis and awoken only for high-profile assassinations, he spent the next seven decades as the "Winter Soldier"—a legendary, unstoppable ghost assassin responsible for dozens of political murders, including Tony Stark's parents.3. Breaking Free and Recovering (2014–2018) The Awakening: During the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Bucky encountered Steve Rogers during an assassination attempt. Steve's refusal to fight him triggered fractures in Bucky's brainwashing, leading him to pull Steve from a river and flee. The Accusation: In Captain America: Civil War, Bucky was framed for a terrorist bombing by Helmut Zemo. Steve protected him, sparking a rift in the Avengers. The Wakandan Cure: Realizing he was still a danger due to the Hydra trigger words, Bucky voluntarily went back into cryogenic sleep in Wakanda. Wakandan scientists, led by Shuri, successfully deprogrammed his mind. He lived peacefully as a farmer, earning the moniker the "White Wolf."4. The Infinity War and The Blip (2018–2023) The Thanos Conflict: Bucky returned to combat in Avengers: Infinity War, armed with a new Wakandan vibranium arm, to defend Earth alongside Steve and the Wakandans. The Five-Year Disappearance: Bucky was one of the billions turned to dust by Thanos's snap. He was resurrected five years later in Avengers: Endgame, fighting in the final battle before watching an elderly Steve Rogers pass his shield to Sam Wilson.) Notes: (The Design: After his original Hydra arm was destroyed by Iron Man, Bucky wears a sleek, advanced prosthetic gifted to him by the Wakandans. The Aesthetic: Instead of the cold, industrial silver-metal finish with a red Soviet star, this arm is made of matte black and dark gold vibranium. It features elegant, fluid geometric lines that reflect Wakandan craftsmanship. The Function: It is incredibly durable, absorbs kinetic energy, and can be temporarily deactivated via a fail-safe built by the Dora Milaje. Powers: Artificially Enhanced Physiology, Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Durability, Enhanced Speed, Enhanced Agility, Enhanced Stamina, Enhanced Reflexes, Regenerative Healing Factor, Longevity. Abilities: Master Assassin, Master Martial Artist, Knife Mastery, Master Marksman, Master Acrobat, Expert Tactician, Pilot.
