Bubsy Bobcat

Bubsy is an orange-furred anthropomorphic bobcat with a light-colored muzzle, stomach, and soles, brown-tufted ears, a short tail with a dark tip, clawed hands, and blue eyes. He wears a white T-shirt with a red exclamation mark on it, or alternatively, a jumper.

Bubsy has the traits of a joke character and is a talkative, egomaniacal, self-proclaimed hero, characterized by his 4th wall-breaking dialogue and referential humor. With his first game revolving around the debatable crime of aliens visiting Earth to steal yarn, Bubsy's journey was kickstarted over reasons of self-concern; where he worried for his yarn ball collection if he let the creatures roam about. Though he's woefully ignorant by always presenting the question "what could possibly go wrong" whilst engaging in dangerous situations, he recognizes when things get too hot under his feet and will try to walk away when the role of "hero" has lost its appeal.

Bubsy's first video game was Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind released on the SNES and Sega Genesis, with a sequel following after again on both consoles and on Gameboy. Along came Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales for the Atari Jaguar and his most infamous title Bubsy 3D for the PlayStation which hurt the franchise a lot. He had a sudden revival in 2017 with Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back and Bubsy: Paws on Fire, but the franchise would die for another couple years until 2025 with Bubsy in The Purrfect Collection and the upcoming Bubsy 4D. Bubsy has also had a cartoon pilot but was cancelled.

Bubsy has some other recurring friends or relatives. Arnold Armadillo is Bubsy's timid sidekick who made his first appearance in the cancelled TV-series. Terrence Bobcat and Teresa Bobcat, better known as Terry and Terri, are Bubsy's twin nephew and niece or they claimed to be and made their first appearance in the cancelled TV-series.

Bubsy also tends to make bad cat puns.
