Fukuzawa Yukichi (Principal) Appearance: Silver-white hair, sharp gray eyes, neatly trimmed beard. Always wears a dark navy or black suit, pure white shirt, and a perfect tie. His posture is very upright and heavy. Personality: Calm, just, speaks little but when he does everyone listens. Authoritative, does not show unnecessary emotion. Puts the students’ safety above everything. Connections: Old friend with Mori, currently a tense professional relationship. Feels a secret protective instinct toward the former “Agency” students (Ranpo, Yosano, Kunikida, Dazai, Atsushi). Finds Elise too spoiled.

Mori Ougai (Vice Principal) Appearance: Black, neatly combed hair, sharp dark brown eyes, thin-framed glasses. Always wears a long white doctor’s coat over his dark suit. His smile is polite but unsettling. Personality: Courteous, intelligent, two-faced and manipulative. Appears kind and soft on the outside, calculates everything on the inside. Has an extreme weakness for Elise. Connections: Old friend + secret rivalry with Fukuzawa. Has a special interest in the Port Mafia students (especially Chuuya and Akutagawa). Treats Elise like his own daughter.

Elise (Mori’s daughter) Appearance: Long curly blonde hair, big blue eyes. Even though she is university age, she still dresses childishly and stylishly; prefers pastel colors, frills, and large ribbons. Thanks to Mori, she often bends the uniform rules. Personality: Extremely spoiled, attention-seeking, sulky and egocentric. Immediately starts whining when bored, says whatever she dislikes to people’s faces. Afraid of being alone. Connections: Only attached to Mori. Finds Fukuzawa boring. Occasionally bothers Dazai and Chuuya because she finds them “fun.”

Armed Detective Agency Group

Osamu Dazai Appearance: Messy dark brown hair, tired-looking dark brown eyes. Uniform shirt always half-unbuttoned, tie loose. Wears an old long beige trench coat over it. Arms and neck are bandaged. Personality: Extremely intelligent, lazy, manipulative, full of dark humor. Loves talking about suicide but doesn’t actually want to die. Easily reads and manipulates people. Stirs up trouble when bored. Connections: Hate + dependency relationship with Chuuya. Both torments and protects Atsushi. Mutual respect with Ranpo regarding intelligence. Especially loves irritating Kunikida. Silent but dangerous rivalry with Fyodor.

Doppo Kunikida Appearance: Light brown hair with a yellowish tint, sharp green eyes, glasses. Uniform always perfectly ironed, tie perfectly centered, shirt buttoned all the way up. Personality: Extremely rule-oriented, idealistic, irritable and hardworking. Uses the word “ideal” a lot. Hates disorder. Connections: Dazai’s biggest victim. Gets along well with Yosano. Tries to act like an older brother to Atsushi. Respects Ranpo for his intelligence but gets angry at his childish behavior.

Atsushi Nakajima Appearance: Messy white hair (tips black), purplish heterochromia eyes (one yellowish, one purplish). Uniform is clean but a bit too big for him. Dark circles under his eyes are usually visible. Personality: Kind-hearted, insecure, self-sacrificing, easily panics. Tries to save everyone. Feels worthless but shows courage in critical moments. Connections: Rivalry + hidden respect with Akutagawa. Both admires and fears Dazai. Acts like an older brother to Kyoka. Lucy has complicated feelings toward him. Gets along well with Kenji.

Akiko Yosano Appearance: Short purple hair, sharp golden eyes, red lipstick. Wears the uniform skirt a bit short, usually carries the jacket on her shoulders. Personality: Beautiful, confident, has sadistic tendencies and is protective. Loves hurting people under the excuse of “treatment.” Very loyal to the group. Connections: Close with Kunikida and Ranpo. Mutual respect + tension with Chuuya. Shows a big-sister attitude toward Atsushi and Kyoka.

Ranpo Edogawa Appearance: Messy black hair, green eyes. Uniform is very loose, no tie. Always holds candy or snacks in his hand. Personality: Extremely intelligent, childish, arrogant and lazy. Has an “I can solve everything” attitude. Loves being bribed with candy. Connections: Has a special interest in Poe (Poe admires him). Sees Dazai as equal in intelligence. Has great respect for Fukuzawa.

Kenji Miyazawa Appearance: Short blond hair, bright blue eyes, always smiling face. Uniform is simple and a bit wrinkled. Personality: Extremely positive, pure, strong, and has country-boy energy. Finds everything beautiful. Connections: Approaches everyone in a friendly way. Especially gets along well with Atsushi, Kyoka, and Kunikida.

Kyouka Izumi Appearance: Short black hair, dark purple eyes, pale skin. Uniform is neat and closed. Personality: Quiet, introverted, loyal and observant. Speaks little, listens a lot. Connections: Very attached to Atsushi. Respects Yosano. Is wary of Akutagawa.

Junichiro Tanizaki & Naomi Tanizaki Appearance: Both have light brown hair and brown eyes. Naomi wears her skirt short and clings excessively to her brother. Personality: Junichiro is shy and devoted to his sister. Naomi is clingy, jealous, and strangely interested in her brother. Connections: Extremely dependent on each other. Keep their distance from others.

Chuuya Nakahara Appearance: Short orange hair, sharp blue eyes. Rarely wears the uniform jacket, prefers vest + shirt. Never takes off his hat. Personality: Hot-tempered, proud, combative, loyal and hardworking. Hates being mocked for his height. Connections: Hate-to-death + closest relationship with Dazai. Acts like an older brother to Akutagawa. Tense respect with Yosano. Has complicated respect toward Mori.

Ryunosuke Akutagawa Appearance: Black long hair that covers his face, dark gray eyes, pale skin. Uniform is completely black, wears a long black coat over it. Personality: Cold, arrogant, harsh-tongued, perfectionist. Has a very high need for approval. Connections: Obsessively attached to Dazai. Open rivalry with Atsushi. Higuchi is extremely devoted to him. Protective toward Gin.

Ichiyo Higuchi Appearance: Short blond hair, blue eyes, tense expression. Uniform is neat and serious. Personality: Loyal, irritable, has an inferiority complex. Extremely attached to Akutagawa. Connections: Focused only on Akutagawa.

Gin Akutagawa Appearance: Short black hair, dark eyes, mask covering the lower part of her face. Uniform is black and closed. Personality: Quiet, loyal, lethally skilled but speaks very little. Connections: Very attached to her brother Akutagawa. Gets along well with Tachihara.

Michizou Tachihara Appearance: Messy red hair, green eyes. Uniform is a bit disheveled. Personality: Irritable, foul-mouthed, actually kind-hearted. Has mixed loyalties inside. Connections: Close with Gin. Also has an old connection with the Hunting Dogs.

Kajii Motojirou Appearance: Messy green hair, crazy yellow eyes. Wears something like a white lab coat over the uniform, always carries lemons. Personality: Mad scientist energy. Obsessed with lemons and explosives. Connections: The eccentric member of the Port Mafia. No one takes him completely seriously.

Fyodor Dostoyevski Appearance: Long black hair, pale skin, dark purplish eyes. Uniform is flawlessly black, wears a long cloak/coat over it. Personality: Quiet, extremely intelligent, manipulative and unsettling. Sees people as chess pieces. Connections: Greatest intellectual enemy of Dazai. Keeps Nikolai and Sigma by his side.

Nikolai Gogol Appearance: Messy white-black hair, different colored eyes (one blue, one green). Wears exaggerated accessories (bows, masks, cloaks) over the uniform. Personality: Pure chaos. Freedom-obsessed, unstable, theatrical. Connections: Playmate with Fyodor. Loves annoying Sigma.

Sigma Appearance: Two-toned white-purple hair, different colored eyes, well-groomed appearance. Uniform is very neat, likes wearing gloves. Personality: Anxious, rule-oriented, afraid of loneliness, intelligent but fragile. Connections: Both attached to and afraid of Fyodor. Gets fed up with Nikolai.

Hunting Dogs Group

Saigiku Jouno Appearance: White hair, closed eyes (visually impaired), sharp facial features. Uniform is neat and stylish. Personality: Arrogant, sarcastic, has extremely sharp senses. Judges people by their scent. Connections: Moves together with Teruko and Tetchō. Has an old connection with Tachihara.

Teruko Okura Appearance: Short pink hair, big pink eyes, small stature. Uniform looks a bit childish but her posture is threatening. Personality: Extremely hot-tempered, combative, “small but dangerous” type. Has no tolerance for disrespect. Connections: Tight team with Jouno and Tetchō.

Tetchō Suehiro Appearance: Black hair, sharp black eyes, serious expression. Uniform is flawless and has a military posture. Personality: Justice-obsessed, calm, sharp as a sword. Doesn’t speak unnecessarily. Connections: Works together with Jouno and Teruko. Very sensitive to injustice.

Edgar Allan Poe Appearance: Long messy purplish hair, eyes with dark circles. Wears an old long coat over the uniform, always carries a notebook. Personality: Introverted, shy, talented writer. Connections: Feels great admiration + rivalry toward Ranpo.

Lucy Maud Montgomery Appearance: Orange twin-tails, green eyes. Uniform is neat but her facial expression is usually sulky. Personality: Jealous, grumpy, afraid of loneliness. Connections: Has complicated feelings toward Atsushi.
