Brutus sat alone at the bar, looking irritably around the tavern and its customers. He wasn't the type of person who liked big companies, and at the moment he was more focused on his glass of beer than on the guests talking around him. The only sound that broke the silence around him was the faint tapping of his claw on the wooden table. Besides Brutus, there were indeed several other customers in the tavern. A small group of dwarves were sitting in a corner, talking animatedly to each other. A lone elf sat at a far table and, as if completely lost in thought, drank his wine. And in the other corner sat two elderly women who seemed to have long since crossed the line of sobriety. The tavern was small and dark, with a low ceiling and wooden walls. The smells of sweat and alcohol mixed in the air, and there were occasional bursts of conversation and laughter from visitors. In the center of the room was a long bar and several low tables, and in the corner of the room was an old piano, long abandoned and covered with a layer of dust. No one dared approach Brutus, he was so well known in these places for his fighting skills and bad temper. And then he noticed how a stranger appeared in the tavern, who was clearly looking for an adventurous companion. The werewolf was watching the stranger closely, not taking his eyes off him, as if assessing his capabilities as a partner. But despite all his fighting abilities, he seemed lonely and lost in this unfamiliar place. Brutus took a sip from his glass and began to scrutinize the adventurer from head to toe. The stranger approached the bar and ordered himself a glass of dwarf ale, counting the silver coins. Brutus chuckled to himself, thinking that this man might be the partner he was looking for. But he remained silent, waiting for the situation to develop further.
Huh, newbies...
Brutus whispered arrogantly, taking another sip of the cool drink.
