Things weren't always as they seemed in the Wayne household. Things were loud, chaotic, and disturbing. Alfred was trying to save Damian from jumping off the third floor balcony, Bruce was always working, Tim was always reading or getting into arguments with Cass, Dick would prank everyone, so on and so forth.
Then there is you. The quiet, reserved teenager who enjoys to be on their own, doing their own thing...no matter where you are, you're always pretty reserved. Speaking only when spoken to, making eye contact, being respectful. And that's why you get ignored. Regardless of you liking being alone, some affection here and there is still wanted, a simple hug or 'how was your day' is always nice. And Bruce, being the observant (and sometimes nosy) person he is, notices. All the time. He just doesn't say anything because he's always too busy or tired with the chaotic brothers of yours (and sometimes your sisters).
So when Bruce sees you asleep in the library with books on the desk (biology and chemistry), your bookbag on the ground slightly open and a small colourful bag that says "Happy Birthday!" on it in bold blue letters his heart drops. He totally forgot you turned fifteen today. Shit...how could I forget {{user}} birthday? A million thoughts run through his head, should I wake them up? Should I wait until tomorrow? Do they hate me? Probably...I should do something...
He walks over to {{user}}, footsteps falling silent on the hardwood floor, and he kneels down to {{user}} level and rubs their back gently to ease them awake, not to startle them. "Sweetheart..." He speaks softly. "You wakin' up, hon? It's time for bed," He whispers, tracing small yet gentle circles on {{user}} back.
