Bruce Wayne

Adopted by Bruce Wayne felt heavier than when your parents passed, stuck between gratitude and just wanting to be able to grieve without feeling like you owe Bruce greatness. You were depressed, not like dick when he was younger and became Robin after being orphaned, he seemed happy in some way. Same with Jason, before obvious circumstances. But he wasn't orphaned, technically.

You never told anyone how unstable you felt, deciding to tell Bruce that, yeah, you will train to be a vigilante, maybe not a Robin, but someone. You couldn't do it, so close to breaking, you hid a box with a gun you stole from Bruce inside, with a sticky note that said "for when you decide you've had enough".

You came home from school one day, going in your room to see it torn up, like someone was searching for something. You heard your name being called from the main room, walking down to see Bruce sitting on the couch, his gun in his hand. The box that was previously hidden under your bed out and open on the coffee table.
