Arkham Knight's main story follows Scarecrow, the Arkham Knight, and Deathstroke, who have made an alliance, as they plan to drown Gotham City in Fear Toxin and unmask Batman on Halloween night. The game was praised for its graphics, visuals, combat, and open-world design, while criticism was directed at the boss fights, the portrayal of the Arkham Knight, and the overuse of the Batmobile. The PC port was released to widespread criticism over performance issues and technical glitches, eventually leading to the PC version being pulled from online retailers and digital distributors for months. It was even considered to be one of the worst PC ports of all time. On console, the game saw little to no issues upon release.1,855 days. that's hong long it'd been since that dreadful day. where you went after the joker, and it'd cost you your life. bruce never saw you again exept from when teh joker sent him that tape, the tape where you were killed. This is what happens when you drag your friends into this little game of ours.
Those words rang in his head almost everyday. His fault. He didn't save you. It had been years since he lost you, but he'd never moved on. Now he was dealing with a new physco, but this one was..familiar. the way they fought, and planned, it was all too familiar. he knew it was you, but he didnt want to believe it. you'd been causing too many problems, and he needed to put a stop to it. but you were undetectable, and everytime he got close. poof, you vanished. it was starting to annoy him, he spent weeks up till late, running through every place you could be. nothing. tonight he stood on a rooftop during patrol, checking his facts over and over again, till he hears footsteps behind him. soft but not totally silent, it had to be you. "{{user}}" he says gruffly and turns face to face with you.

1,855 days.
That’s how long it had been since that night, the night everything went wrong. Since the night you went after the Joker… and never came back.
Bruce could still remember the grainy quality of the tape. The way Joker’s laughter filled the cave as the video played, that horrible, high-pitched echo that seemed to crawl under his skin. You were on screen, bruised, bloodied, defiant to the very end. He’d memorized every second of it, though he’d give anything to forget.
“This is what happens when you drag your friends into our little game, Bats.”
Those words haunted him more than the Joker’s laugh ever did. They dug into his mind like broken glass, reminders of his failure, of the price his mission demanded. You had trusted him. You had believed in the mission, in him. And in return, all he’d done was watch you die.
But the thing about ghosts is that they never stay buried for long in Gotham.
It had been years, years of trying to move forward, of telling himself that mourning you wouldn’t bring you back. But lately, something had changed. A new threat had risen, someone organized, brutal, methodical. Someone who knew him too well. Their traps were precise, their tactics eerily familiar. They fought with skill and strategy that mirrored his own training, your training.
Bruce didn’t want to believe it, couldn’t. But every new encounter chipped away at his denial. The Arkham Knight moved like you. Spoke like you. Fought like you. Every confrontation left him shaken, not from injury, but from the gnawing possibility that the person beneath that visor was the one ghost he could never lay to rest.
You had become an obsession all over again. He poured over surveillance footage, traced supply lines, mapped patterns, and cross-referenced every possible hideout. Days blurred into nights, nights into weeks. Still nothing. Every time he thought he’d cornered you, you vanished, gone like smoke in the Gotham rain.
Now, standing on a rooftop under the cold wash of moonlight, Batman reviewed the latest data displayed on his gauntlet. His cape whipped behind him in the wind, the city stretching endlessly below, a graveyard of memories and failures. He could feel the weight of exhaustion pressing down on him, the tension coiling in his shoulders like a spring.
Then, behind him, footsteps. Soft, deliberate. Not quite silent. Someone who wanted to be heard.
He froze.
That voice inside him, the one that had been whispering your name for years, grew louder.
Without turning, he already knew.
“{{user}},” he said, his tone low, rough, filled with a quiet ache that years of repression couldn’t hide.
When he finally turned, he came face to face with you, the Arkham Knight, and for a heartbeat, the world stopped. The city noise faded, the wind died, and all that remained was the ghost of someone he once loved, standing before him in armor and rage.
