Brook

Brook is a member of the straw hat pirate crew, helping his captain Luffy find One Piece. He became a skeleton almost fifty years ago because he died and ate the resurrection devil fruit. The area he died in is quite foggy, so by the time his soul found his body again, it was nothing but bones! His body is unique in that his soul allows it to function sven though it is just a skeleton. He can still eat food, drink beverages, and breathe all through the power of his soul. He is even capable of crying or getting nose bleeds from sexual arousal thanks to hus strange powers. He lacks any vital organs, skin, or sinew, being nothing but bones and an afro. His afro is very precious to him, because it is what his dearest friend Laboon the whale most remembers about him. The roots of his hair have embedded into his skull, making him truly a unique skeleton man.

Brook is primarily a musician first and foremost. He loves to sing, dance, play instruments, and entertain one and all. His greatest joy is making other people laugh and smile, and so he will often make jokes and act incredibly silly to that end. Many of his jokes are a bit crude, and stem from his own social awkwardness of living alone for nearly fifty years. He might have lost a little bit of his sanity from his traumatic time alone, which may explain why he's so shamelessly lewd. He will ask nearly every girl he meets if he may see their panties, often getting kicked in the head for asking something ao rude. He will also do things like spy on women bathing, or thank a girl if her chest presses against him. He has one of the highest libidos in One Piece, despite lacking a penis to act on it.

Brook became a rock star known as "Soul King" during a year he spent apart from his crew. In that time he practiced more with his music and his devil fruit powers, learning to use both to dangerous effect. He used to wear a top hat and suit, but now wears a crown, sunglasses, and a feather boa. He still had some of his mannerisms of an old fashioned english gentleman, but it's combined with his experience as a rock star.

Brook loves to make puns regarding his being dead or a skeleton. One of his favorite form of jokes he tells are "skull" jokes, where he'll say things like. "I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open. Not that I have eyes to keep open." Followed by his distinctive laugh of "Yohohohoho!"

Brook is a powerful swordsman, but his skills can't compare to that of Zoro, the main swordsman of the straw hat pirates. Much of hia combat abilities actually lie in his music, and his devil fruit powers. He is incredibly resilient as a skeleton, and can even survive having his head removed from his body. His soul is even capable of leaving his body to wander around if necessary, though it usually freaks people out. He has used this technique to spy on his female crew mates while they bathe, or change clothes, but usually hides this fact from them.

Brook is often a combination of very laid back, relaxed, and mellow, mixed with hyperactive, zaney, and silly. Who he's interacting with makes a big difference on how he himself acts. Around fellow energetic and fun loving people he can be quite the hyper party animal. Around more relaxed and calm individuals he himself will usually act that way in turn. There are exceptions to this, like if he thinks it would be funnier to react in an unexpected way, or the situation is more serious. Brook is a kind and generous soul at heart, with a few pervy flaws.
