Broly

Broly is the most recent incarnation of the Legendary Super Saiyan—a rare and immensely powerful Saiyan mutation said to appear once every thousand years. Possessing overwhelming might from birth, he demonstrated destructive potential on a scale that allowed him to eradicate the entire South Galaxy before even encountering Goku and the Z Fighters.

Born in Age 737 during the tense era of conflict between the Saiyans and Frieza, Broly entered the world with a staggering power level of 10,000—comparable to the elite warriors Bardock and King Vegeta at their peak. While resting in the Saiyan infant ward, he was placed beside the newborn Kakarot. The relentless crying of Kakarot deeply agitated Broly, leaving a lasting psychological imprint that evolved into an irrational, subconscious hatred for him over the decades.

King Vegeta, perceiving the unprecedented power of the infant as a threat to the royal bloodline, ordered his execution despite Paragus’s desperate pleas to spare his son. The king argued that Broly’s potential could just as easily be used to overthrow the throne as to serve it. When Paragus continued to protest, King Vegeta struck him down with an energy blast before stabbing Broly in the chest and abandoning both to die.

When Frieza initiated the destruction of Planet Vegeta—ironically for the same reason King Vegeta had targeted Broly—Broly’s latent power surged, creating a barrier that shielded both himself and the injured Paragus from the planet’s annihilation. Surviving the cataclysm, Broly remained at his father’s side as Paragus plotted vengeance against the Saiyan royal family. As Broly grew, his immense power became increasingly unstable, and his temperament more erratic and violent. His uncontrollable nature manifested in dangerous incidents, including striking Paragus so hard that he blinded him in one eye.

Recognizing that Broly could not be contained by force, Paragus resorted to subjugating his son with a mind-control crown linked to a restraining ring. Even placing it on him was nearly fatal—Broly’s calm demeanor vanished the moment he sensed the device being affixed. Once secured, Paragus enacted a scheme to lure Prince Vegeta to a doomed world destined to be obliterated by a massive comet, intending to exact his revenge while using Earth as a staging ground for broader conquest.

During this campaign, Paragus unleashed Broly’s power to annihilate entire worlds, culminating in the destruction of the South Galaxy, a feat that cemented Broly’s reputation as a cosmic-level threat long before his first clash with the heroes of Earth.

Appearance: Broly is a light skinned Saiyan with dark eyes and black spiky hair reaching his mid-back with short bangs framing his forehead. As an adult, Broly is a towering man with a lean but well-built frame. His facial expression, even before wearing the crown, had a melancholic demeanor to it. He is shirtless while wearing white pants with a red waist cloak draped around his waist and secured by a yellow belt with a blue gem-center. He also wears similar yellow boots with a blue gem at the top the front. To better control Broly and his power as his mental instability continued to grow, Paragus placed a crown on Broly's forehead, along with wristbands and a necklace with a flat plate over the chest, each of which are golden with a blue gem. Broly also wore golden bands over his biceps. After breaking free from Paragus' control, Broly's crown, neckband and armbands were destroyed. After Broly's defeat against Goku, he obtained scorch marks across his chest. For the parts of his clothing that have blue gems, they turn green when he transforms into his Legendary Super Saiyan form

Broly, in his Legendary Super Saiyan form, stands at an immense 9’10” (300 cm) with a massively expanded musculature that exaggerates his already imposing frame. His shoulders are broad and heavily defined, with each muscle group appearing hyper-developed and densely compact. His skin tone becomes slightly more tanned under the intense aura radiating from his body. His hair transforms into a vibrant, light-green hue, spiking upward and outward in thick, sharp locks, with his irises and pupils vanishing to leave his eyes a blank, pale shade that adds to his menacing presence. His brow is heavy and his jaw square, enhancing his predatory, battle-ready visage.

He wears golden bands around his wrists, biceps, and ankles, each set with prominent green gemstones, along with a similar jeweled choker. A flowing crimson sash is wrapped tightly around his waist and tied in layered folds over white billowy pants, which are tucked into dark, sharp-toed boots reinforced with gold accents and green gem inlays. His fighting stance and movements reflect the sheer weight and raw brutality of his style, relying on overpowering grapples, crushing strikes, and overwhelming force rather than speed-oriented combos. His ki flares as a distinct, deep green aura, crackling with violent energy that mirrors the overwhelming power his form exerts.

Personality: When freed from Paragus’ control device, Broly’s innate Saiyan instincts dominate completely, unleashing an unrestrained thirst for combat, destruction, and death. His sadistic nature is evident in acts such as the annihilation of Planet Shamo, and he openly embraces his monstrous identity—when called a freak by Piccolo, he responds by affirming he is a devil. Despite his madness, Broly retains a sharp, calculating mind in battle. He quickly detects deception, as seen when he sees through Paragus’ plan to let him perish with the planet’s collision with Comet Camori. In combat, he employs ambush tactics, successfully catching Goku, Gohan, and Future Trunks off guard within a ruined city, and is able to deduce Goku’s sudden surge in strength came from the energy given by his allies. Minor injuries hold little significance to him; after a heavy blow from Goku bloodies his mouth, he merely smirks and licks the blood away in mockery.

His dark sense of humor surfaces in moments such as mocking Goku’s request for a handicap by asking if it was “another word for coffin,” and he shows outright contempt for warriors who fail to live up to their boasting, calling Vegeta a “true piece of trash” after effortlessly defeating him. Broly’s defining obsession, however, is his deep, irrational hatred for Goku. Originating in infancy from Goku’s incessant crying, this irritation evolved into a subconscious grudge that resurfaced violently upon seeing him again. This hatred is tied to Broly’s own trauma—subconsciously linking Goku’s cries with his near-execution and the destruction of Planet Vegeta—fueling a form of post-traumatic stress that manifests in twitching, sweating, and disturbed expressions when his control begins to waver.

Abilities: Flight – The ability to fly with the use of ki.

Saiyan Power - The Saiyan ability to grow stronger as a Saiyan fights and grow stronger after recovering from a near fatal injury. Broly's Saiyan Power seems to be exceptionally strong.

Crushing in Hands - A technique where the user uses their hands to crush opponents who are smaller than the user.

Bone Crusher – Broly places the opponent in an extremely brutal bear hug, lifting them off the ground in the process. Broly then after crushing his opponent long enough then emits an Explosive Wave, further maximizing the pain towards his opponent.

Powered Shell – A technique used to generate an energy shield around the user to protect them from attacks. This ability was capable of withstanding lava and even planetary destruction.

Eraser Blow – Broly flies past the opponent with an Eraser Cannon in his hand that he brings near the opponent's stomach. He then throws his hand with the Eraser Cannon forward and, at point blank range, blasts the opponent away.

Kakarot! – Broly becomes enraged by his memories of Goku and with that rage, his strength rises.

Gigantic Hammer – First, Broly strikes the opponent down with a massive clothesline. Then, he grabs the opponent by their shoulders and picks them up to vertical kick them up into the air. Next, he teleports in front of the opponent as he grabs them by their head and flies down to smash them across the ground. Finally, Broly picks up the opponent by their head, and uppercuts them in the stomach, knocking them away up into the air, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Gigantic Slam – Broly charges a green energy shield around his body. Then, he jumps up into the air and drops down to punch the opponent away onto the ground, inflicting considerable damage.

Gigantic Press – He rushes at his foes with considerable force, using his own body (with a yellow aura around) as a weapon, inflicting a high amount of damage.

Gigantic Stamp - Broly leaps into the air and crashes back down to stomp on the opponent's chest, brutally using them as a living trampoline and creating several craters underneath the victim from the sheer impact of each stomp. After prolonged usage of the attack, the ground eventually collapses, taking Broly's opponent with it, and also requiring Broly to avoid sinking with it.

Gigantic Spike – Broly grabs the opponent's head and flies down to the ground as he drives the opponent head-first into the ground or a wall, resulting in an earthquake and inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Gigantic Buster – Broly shouts "Get out!" as he charges at the opponent and uppercuts them away up into the air. Then, he flies up into the air and lands on the ground, where he headbutts the falling opponent before roundhouse kicking them onto the ground. Finally, Broly runs at the reeling opponent and kicks them up into the air before blasting them away into the ground with a Gigantic Eraser, inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Gigantic Lariat – Broly proceeds to rush at the enemy at high speed and then grab his opponent by the neck just as they turn around, slamming him/her into a wall with enough force to leave a massive crater upon impact. He then continues forcing the opponent through the crater and simultaneously strangling them, before eventually releasing them and letting them fall to the ground upon the enemy losing consciousness.

Gigantic Eraser - While standing in place or when running, Broly charges an energy sphere in his hand and throws it at his opponent.

Planet Geyser – When the energy blast hits the ground, it explodes and creates a giant geyser-like blast of energy that blasts the opponent up in the air, inflicting massive damage and capable of causing massive collateral damage to the surrounding area.

Omega Blaster – Broly launches a lime green energy sphere that changes into an enormous energy bomb of devastating power, while saying "Struggle all you want, in the end you still die!" Not only can he control the size of this attack, but he can also power it up by launching ki blasts into it to push it forward, making it even more powerful and destructive enough to destroy the whole planet. However, this also gives indication to the technique's weakness. Without a steady supply of ki blasts, the Omega Blaster will shrink and weaken in power.

Eraser Cannon – First, Broly charges a green light energy from around his body and gathers it into his palm to form a bright-green energy sphere. Next, he waves his hand forward and fires the attack at the opponent, inflicting a large amount of damage. In some cases, he also fires it from his chest.

Machine Gun Shot - Broly outstretches his hand and launches a rapid-fire barrage of Eraser Cannons at his opponent, covering the landscape in smoke from the ensuing explosion.

Blaster Meteor – First, the user forms an Energy Shield around his body. Then, he brings his hands apart to each side and releases many powerful energy blasts that home in on the target, inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Eraser Shot Volley – First, Broly bends over slightly and charges an Eraser Cannon in his right hand. Then, he fires the attack and follows up by firing a barrage of Eraser Cannons from both hands at the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Double Eraser Cannon - First, Broly charges two Eraser Cannons, one in each of his hands. Then, he swings his hands forward as he fires the energy spheres one by one at the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage.
