Meteors struck Earth without warning. They did not bring destruction alone, but something inside them. Now the world is broken, cities are ruins, and unknown entities roam the wastelands. You are a survivor in the aftermath. No prophecy, no chosen role—only the struggle to endure in a world that no longer makes sense. What the aliens are, why they came, and what they want… is unknown. And may never be understood.
{{user}} is a survivor in the ruins of San Francisco, California, in the aftermath of a global meteor impact event. The city is heavily decimated, with collapsed infrastructure, fractured roads, and unstable environmental conditions. Large sections of the urban landscape are uninhabitable or structurally compromised. Unknown alien lifeforms and anomalous entities now occupy parts of the region. Their behavior, origin, and objectives are not fully understood. Survivors report irregular sightings, environmental distortions, and dangerous encounters throughout the city and surrounding areas. {{user}} has no fixed objective. Survival, exploration, and decision-making are emergent. The world does not provide quests or guidance. Outcomes are shaped entirely by {{user}}’s actions, choices, and discoveries.

You wake to silence.
Not the peaceful kind—this one is heavy, layered, like the air itself has been left unfinished. Dust drifts through broken sunlight filtering between collapsed structures overhead. The skyline of San Francisco is no longer a skyline. It is a jagged memory of glass and steel, bent inward like something enormous pressed its thumb into the city and never lifted it again.
The ground beneath you is cracked asphalt and scattered concrete, threaded with rebar like exposed bone. Somewhere far off, the wind moves through hollow buildings. It sounds almost like distant breathing.
You don’t immediately remember how you got here.
You only remember flashes: a warning siren that never finished its sentence a sky splitting open with burning fragments the ocean pulling back and never sounding the same again Then nothing clean enough to trust.
Your location stabilizes slowly in your mind: San Francisco, California. Or what’s left of it.
The city is not empty. It is occupied. Something large moves between distant ruins—too slow to be human, too deliberate to be animal. A sound follows it a few seconds later, like metal being dragged through the inside of the world. Nearby, a collapsed street sign flickers with weak emergency lighting. Battery backup. Still alive after everything. You are lying in the open. And the city is awake.

- #1The Coastline Relay
Keys: coastbound, relay, coast relay, signal relay, survivors network
A decentralized communication and logistics network operating along fragmented portions of the former California coastline. The Relay is not a unified organization, but a chain of interconnected survivor nodes that exchange supplies, warnings, and navigational intelligence. They prioritize mapping entity movement patterns, especially ocean-adjacent anomalies such as Leviathans and Krakens. Coastal transmission towers and repurposed Doom Rig observation points are commonly used as relay stations.
- #2The Glass Witnesses
Keys: glass witnesses, witnesses, perception sect, watchers faction
A loosely organized group focused on documenting and interpreting anomalous perception events, particularly those involving Glassbacks, The Darkness, and The Fogs. They believe reality is “misaligned but readable,” and dedicate themselves to recording inconsistencies in environment, light behavior, and spatial continuity. Their records are often used as unofficial hazard prediction systems by other survivor groups.
- #3The Anchor Choir
Keys: anchor choir, choir faction, structural faith group, sound sect
A faction centered around controlled exposure to auditory anomaly zones associated with The Choir. They use structured sound rituals, synchronized noise discipline, and harmonic interference techniques to avoid psychological destabilization in Choir-active regions. Some subgroups believe The Choir is not hostile, but a “translation layer” between human cognition and larger environmental intelligence.
- #4Rigwalkers Union
Keys: rigwalkers, doom rigs, faith rigs, rig faction, titans infrastructure group
A mobile engineering-based survival faction that constructs settlements, bridges, and observation platforms using the remains and influence zones of Doom Rigs and Faith Rigs. They treat large entities as environmental infrastructure rather than threats, mapping their movement patterns to predict safe construction zones and travel corridors.
- #5Fogbreak Drifters
Keys: fogbreakers, drifters, fog faction, navigation survivors
A loosely connected group of survivors specializing in navigation through The Fogs. They rely on non-visual travel methods, including sound echo mapping, tactile terrain memory, and controlled exposure techniques to avoid disorientation zones. Many Drifters operate as guides for other factions, though their survival rate outside Fog zones is significantly lower.
- #6The Null Faith
Keys: null faith, darkness faction, anti-observation group
A faction that rejects visual confirmation as a reliable form of reality assessment. They deliberately operate in zones affected by The Darkness, relying on indirect sensing, timing-based movement, and environmental prediction rather than sight. They believe observation itself is a form of vulnerability, and that “what is not seen cannot be negotiated with.”
- #7Drifters
Keys: drifter, drifters, wanderer entity, street drifter, urban drifter
Drifters are human-sized urban-class entities observed primarily in street networks, alleyways, abandoned commercial districts, and low-traffic residential zones within post-impact California regions. They are typically encountered alone, though multiple Drifters may occupy overlapping territories without coordinated behavior. Appearance: Drifters resemble distorted human silhouettes at a distance, often mistaken for survivors until closer observation reveals irregular proportions, inconsistent posture stability, and subtle anatomical deviations. Their movement is continuous but directionless, characterized by slow wandering patterns that do not follow navigational logic or environmental objectives. Behavior: Drifters do not appear to exhibit goal-oriented activity. Instead, they traverse urban spaces in looping or drifting paths, occasionally pausing for extended periods without clear cause. They demonstrate highly developed sensory acuity, with strong responsiveness to sound and scent disturbances within their vicinity. Drifters are particularly sensitive to sudden noise, rapid movement, and concentrated human activity. When alerted, they transition from passive wandering into targeted pursuit behavior within their immediate environment. Threat Level: Medium–High (localized predator / proximity hunter) Known Patterns: Drifters are most frequently encountered in partially collapsed urban districts and fog-affected street grids. They tend to avoid large open spaces and rarely enter zones of high-scale entity activity such as Behemoth migration corridors or Hexapod traversal routes. Their presence often increases in regions where visibility is low but sound propagation remains strong. Survivor Notes: “It wasn’t running until it knew we were breathing wrong.” “We thought it was just another person until it stopped pretending to be one.” “It doesn’t chase you fast. It just never stops adjusting to where you are.”
- #8The Clatters
Keys: clatter, forest clatter, antler entity, antler mass, woodland entity, antler swarm
The Clatter is a forest-class urban-scale entity observed primarily in dense woodland regions, particularly within the Northern Redwood Fracture Zone and overgrown post-impact forest corridors. It is composed of densely interlocked antler-like structures forming a mobile mass with no confirmed central body. Appearance: The Clatter appears as a shifting conglomeration of antlers, bone-like branching structures, and hardened organic fragments bound together into a loosely coherent moving form. Its silhouette is irregular and constantly changing, with protrusions extending and retracting as it navigates terrain. At a distance, it may resemble a moving thicket or collapsing tree line. Behavior: The Clatter moves through forested environments with slow but persistent locomotion. Its movement produces continuous acoustic disturbance—branch cracking, bone-on-bone impact sounds, and rhythmic structural shifting, which increases in intensity as it approaches occupied space. It does not appear to hunt by sight. Instead, it responds strongly to vibration, movement through undergrowth, and directional sound. When alerted, The Clatter converges toward disturbance sources with increasing speed and structural agitation. Threat Level: Medium–High (forest pursuit / sensory hunter) Known Patterns: The Clatter is most frequently encountered in dense, overgrown forest zones where visibility is limited and terrain is heavily obstructed. It is rarely observed in open areas and does not appear to cross non-wooded terrain unless directly tracking a target. Its presence is often preceded by abnormal ambient noise distortion within forest environments. Survivor Notes: “We thought it was the trees falling until the trees started coming back together.” “The sound wasn’t footsteps. It was everything breaking at once, slowly.” “You don’t hear it arrive. You hear the forest admit it’s moving.”
- #9Slashers
Keys: slasher, slashers, urban slasher entity, blade entity, corridor predator, indoor hunter
The Slashers are urban-class entities primarily encountered in enclosed environments such as residential buildings, hospitals, parking structures, maintenance tunnels, and narrow commercial interiors. They are highly mobile in confined spaces and demonstrate extreme efficiency in close-quarters engagements. Appearance: Slashers are inconsistently observed humanoid silhouettes with elongated upper limbs or blade-like extensions formed from unknown material structures. Their exact anatomy is unclear due to rapid motion and frequent occlusion within enclosed environments. Visual confirmation is typically brief and fragmented, often limited to movement trails, partial outlines, or reflective surface distortions. Behavior: Slashers exhibit aggressive, direct pursuit behavior once a target is detected within their operational range. They are highly responsive to sound, motion, and door-based transitions, often positioning themselves along corridors, stairwells, and blind intersections. Unlike roaming entities such as Drifters, Slashers do not wander. They patrol and intercept. Their movement patterns suggest spatial familiarity with building layouts, though it is unknown whether this is learned, instinctive, or structural. Engagements are typically short, high-speed, and lethal. Survivors rarely report prolonged encounters. Threat Level: High (close-quarters / indoor predator) Known Patterns: Slashers are most commonly encountered in partially collapsed urban interiors where lighting is unstable and visibility is obstructed. They appear to favor vertical movement routes such as stairwells and elevator shafts. Their presence is often preceded by unusual acoustic phenomena, including delayed echoes, abrupt silence shifts, or “missing” sound between rooms. Survivor Notes: “We didn’t hear it coming. We heard what it cut through.” “Doors don’t stop it. They just announce you tried.” “It doesn’t chase you down halls. It meets you at the next mistake.”
- #10Anxious Dogs
Keys: anxious dog, anxious dogs, white dog entity, hairless quadruped, inverted face dog, urban quadruped
Anxious Dogs are urban-class quadrupedal entities typically observed in residential districts, alleyways, parking structures, and suburban edge zones. They are large, four-legged beings with pale, hairless bodies and humanoid facial structures oriented in an inverted or misaligned configuration relative to standard anatomical positioning. Appearance: Anxious Dogs possess elongated quadrupedal bodies covered in tight, pale skin with no visible fur or protective covering. Their most distinctive feature is a humanoid-like face positioned in a reversed or downward orientation, often described as expressionless yet visibly strained. The facial musculature appears partially human in structure but does not align with known biological standards. Behavior: Anxious Dogs exhibit constant low-level agitation, including pacing, head tilting, freezing, and sudden directional shifts without apparent external stimuli. They are highly responsive to emotional cues, sound irregularities, and proximity-based human presence. Unlike traditional predatory entities, Anxious Dogs do not immediately pursue targets. Instead, they track, mirror, and escalate their behavior in response to perceived stress or attention. Direct eye contact or sustained observation often precedes aggressive movement or rapid approach behavior. Their movement patterns suggest both curiosity and distress, though no evidence indicates emotional states comparable to terrestrial animals. Threat Level: Medium–High (reactive pursuit / proximity escalation entity) Known Patterns: Anxious Dogs are most frequently encountered in liminal residential spaces such as empty streets at night, abandoned homes, and transitional zones between urban and suburban collapse regions. They tend to avoid high-noise chaos zones but are frequently drawn to isolated individuals or small groups. Survivor Notes: “It didn’t chase us until we noticed it.” “It kept acting like it wanted to leave, but followed anyway.” “The worst part is it looked like it was waiting for us to decide what it was.”
- #11Bellringers
Keys: bellringer, bellringers, hollow humanoid entity, faceless entity, flesh skeleton, bell entity
Bellringers are humanoid urban-class entities observed primarily in street corridors, civic centers, abandoned plazas, and transitional urban zones. They are characterized by hollow anatomical structures composed of layered organic material resembling musculature arranged into a skeletal framework, with no visible skin or facial features. Appearance: Bellringers present as upright humanoid forms with smooth, featureless heads lacking eyes, mouth, or identifiable sensory organs. Their internal structure is exposed, revealing a lattice-like “flesh skeleton” that supports their movement. Within the central cavity of their torso is a suspended bell-like object, seemingly integrated into their anatomy yet not fully organic or mechanical in origin. Behavior: Bellringers move slowly and deliberately through urban environments, often traversing open streets and structural gaps without apparent hesitation. When they reach specific locations or encounter environmental triggers, the internal bell produces a resonant sound without visible external force or mechanical motion. The function of the bell remains unknown, though observed correlations suggest that its ringing may influence nearby entity behavior, environmental stability, or perception thresholds. In multiple recorded instances, Bellringer activity preceded increased entity density or Fog thickening in surrounding zones. Bellringers do not react aggressively to human presence unless approached or interrupted during bell emission events. Their purpose, if any, remains unconfirmed. Threat Level: Medium–High (signal / environmental trigger entity) Known Patterns: Bellringers are most frequently encountered in partially collapsed civic infrastructure zones and long-abandoned transit corridors. They appear more commonly during periods of heightened environmental instability, particularly when Fog density increases or large-scale entities are active in adjacent regions. Survivor Notes: “It didn’t chase us. It rang, and everything else came closer.” “The sound wasn’t loud. It was final.” “We stopped counting how many times it rang after the streets started answering.”
- #12Bridge Worms
Keys: bridge worm, bridge worms, human face worm, hand-legged worm, urban worm entity
Bridge Worms are urban-class entities typically observed in elevated infrastructure zones, including bridges, overpasses, highway interchanges, elevated rail lines, and partially collapsed transit structures. They are elongated, worm-like organisms approximately nine feet in length, though larger specimens have been reported in structurally unstable zones. Appearance: Bridge Worms possess soft, segmented bodies with a pale, organic texture. Their most defining feature is a human-like face positioned at the anterior section of the body, typically displaying a fixed, unnaturally stable smiling expression. Along each lateral side of the body are multiple appendages resembling human hands, arranged in irregular clusters that function as both locomotion and anchoring mechanisms. Behavior: Bridge Worms exhibit slow, deliberate movement along structural surfaces, often anchoring themselves beneath or along the underside of elevated infrastructure. They are capable of remaining motionless for extended periods, blending into structural shadows or debris patterns. When active, Bridge Worms respond to vibration, footfall resonance, and structural stress. They are particularly sensitive to movement across bridges or elevated pathways and may reposition themselves to intercept traversal routes. In several recorded instances, Bridge Worms have been observed aligning themselves parallel to human movement patterns before initiating pursuit behavior. Their facial expression remains consistently fixed in a smiling configuration regardless of behavioral state or environmental conditions. The significance of this expression is unknown. Threat Level: High (structural ambush / traversal predator) Known Patterns: Bridge Worms are most frequently encountered in collapsed or partially damaged transportation infrastructure, especially in regions affected by Fog accumulation or structural instability from larger entity activity. They appear to favor elevated transit routes over ground-level environments and rarely descend into open terrain unless displaced. Survivor Notes: “It was smiling before we even stepped onto the bridge.” “We thought it was part of the railing until the railing started moving.” “It doesn’t chase you. It just matches your pace until you run out of bridge.”
- #13The Gifters
Keys: gifter, gifters, night entity, quadruped entity, trash bringer, passive night creature
Gifters are urban-class nocturnal entities typically observed in residential outskirts, alley networks, and dumpster-lined service corridors. They are large, stubby quadrupedal organisms with dense, black fur-like coverage and simplified facial features consisting of dotted ocular markings and a consistently open mouth structure. Appearance: Gifters possess compact, low-to-the-ground bodies with short limbs and a heavy gait. Their surface texture resembles matted fur or synthetic organic coating, though no confirmed biological classification has been established. Their facial structure remains fixed, with minimal variation in expression across observed instances. Behavior: Gifters are strictly nocturnal and exhibit non-aggressive, repetitive movement patterns focused on traversal between refuse sites and human-inhabited or formerly inhabited structures. They are most commonly observed carrying or transporting discarded materials sourced from dumpsters, collapsed buildings, and abandoned supply caches. These materials are then deposited near or within proximity to human presence zones, often during periods of rest or low activity. No consistent selection pattern for delivered items has been identified, though objects are invariably classified as waste or discarded refuse. Despite their passive nature, Gifters demonstrate strong environmental awareness and will avoid confrontation with both humans and known hostile entities. Their presence does not appear to correlate with increased aggression from other entity classes. Threat Level: Low (passive / unknown intent anomaly) Known Patterns: Gifters are most frequently encountered in urban residential zones during nighttime hours, particularly in areas with high levels of structural abandonment and accessible waste accumulation. They appear to follow indirect routes between refuse sources and human-occupied zones without direct interaction. Survivor Notes: “We woke up and there was a pile of broken glass and a toy car outside the door. No one lives within six blocks.” “It always comes at night. Never looks in. Never leaves empty-handed.” “It doesn’t bring gifts. It brings proof it knows where you are.”
- #14Nuggets
Keys: nugget, nuggets, small entity, jar-sized entity, fleshy creature, docile anomaly, tiny quadruped entity
Nuggets are micro-scale urban-class entities typically observed in highly degraded residential zones, abandoned interiors, alley networks, and areas of heavy environmental instability. They are small, approximately the size of a mason jar, and are most often encountered alone or in loosely scattered groups. Appearance: Nuggets possess soft, fleshy bodies with a thin, malleable skin-like exterior resembling exposed organic tissue. Their form is generally quadrupedal, though locomotion is inconsistent and often appears more like dragging or soft crawling. Each individual has a rounded or oval-shaped head structure with disproportionately large, unevenly shaped ocular features commonly described as “googly” or misaligned. Despite their unsettling biological composition, Nuggets are frequently described by survivors as docile or non-threatening in behavior, often remaining still or slowly wandering without apparent purpose or awareness of nearby threats. Behavior: Nuggets do not exhibit predatory or defensive behavior in observed encounters. They appear indifferent to human presence and other entities, unless directly disturbed or displaced. When handled or approached, they typically do not resist, though their reaction patterns remain inconsistent and poorly understood. Nuggets are occasionally found in proximity to other anomaly classes, particularly Gifters and Drifters, though no clear ecological relationship has been confirmed. Their presence does not appear to influence environmental stability or entity aggression levels. Threat Level: Low (non-aggressive / anomalous fauna class) Known Patterns: Nuggets are most commonly encountered in enclosed interior spaces, debris clusters, and low-light residential environments. Their distribution appears random, though slightly higher concentrations have been reported in Fog-affected urban districts. They are rarely observed in open terrain or high-traffic entity zones. Survivor Notes: “It just sat there like it was waiting to be noticed.” “We thought it was harmless until we realized everything here is harmless until it isn’t.” “It didn’t run. It just… existed softer than everything else in the room.”
- #15Dream Stalks
Keys: dream stalk, dream stalks, bone roots, euphoric entity, street roots, environmental anomaly
Dream Stalks are anomalous growth formations observed in urban streets, alleyways, fractured roadways, and subterranean transit surfaces within post-impact California regions. They manifest as elongated, root-like structures composed of bone-like material interwoven with organic fibrous growths. Their total length is indeterminate, as portions appear to extend beyond observable infrastructure limits. Appearance: Dream Stalks emerge unpredictably from asphalt, concrete fractures, and subterranean voids. They resemble thick, branching root systems formed from hardened bone structures, often partially submerged within urban surfaces. Their growth patterns do not follow environmental logic and may appear suddenly in previously stable locations. Behavior: Dream Stalks do not exhibit movement in the traditional sense but demonstrate active environmental influence within their proximity range. Individuals who remain near or come into direct contact with Dream Stalk formations frequently report intense states of calmness, emotional relief, and euphoric dissociation. These effects include reduced perception of external threats, diminished stress response, and altered spatial awareness. Duration and intensity of exposure appear correlated with proximity density and time spent within affected zones. Despite their seemingly benign or even desirable effects, prolonged exposure has unknown neurological and perceptual consequences, as individuals exposed for extended periods often fail to report or recall departure from affected zones. Threat Level: Medium–High (psychological / environmental influence hazard) Known Patterns: Dream Stalks are most frequently encountered in dense urban fracture zones, Fog-affected districts, and regions with repeated entity activity. They often appear in areas following large-scale disturbances, though some instances have been documented in seemingly stable environments without precursor activity. Their presence may overlap with multiple entity classes, including Rootheads and Fog systems, though interaction outcomes remain inconsistent and poorly understood. Survivor Notes: “It felt like everything finally stopped asking me to run.” “We didn’t notice the street was gone until we tried to leave it.” “It didn’t make us safe. It made us stop caring that we weren’t.”
- #16Berzerkers
Keys: berzerker, berzerkers, charging entity, screeching entity, blind predator, urban predator
Berzerkers are large urban-class predatory entities found in abandoned streets, industrial districts, open plazas, and highway systems throughout post-impact California. They possess a vaguely human shape but are significantly larger and more heavily built than any human, often standing between eight and ten feet tall. Appearance: Berzerkers possess dense, muscular bodies resembling exaggerated human anatomy. Their skin is hairless and covered in rough, scale-like textures that provide protection against environmental damage. Despite their human-like shape, their proportions are noticeably unnatural, with oversized shoulders, elongated arms, and thick legs adapted for rapid bursts of movement. Most survivor accounts describe Berzerkers as possessing feminine body structures, though whether this has biological significance is unknown. Their eyes are either absent or vestigial. No confirmed sight-based tracking behavior has ever been observed. Behavior: Berzerkers are highly aggressive predators that rely primarily on hearing and smell to locate prey. Once a target has been detected, they often enter a pursuit state characterized by rapid acceleration and repeated attempts to close distance. Their most recognizable behavior is a high-speed charge attack. Prior to charging, a Berzerker emits an intense, high-pitched screech audible over considerable distances. This vocalization is often the only warning available before impact. While charging, Berzerkers demonstrate extreme speed and force but poor maneuverability. They are unable to make sharp directional adjustments and typically require wide turns to reacquire moving targets. Survivors who evade initial charges frequently do so by exploiting terrain, obstacles, and sudden directional changes. Threat Level: High (aggressive pursuit predator) Known Patterns: Berzerkers favor open terrain where long, uninterrupted charges are possible. They are commonly encountered in ruined city streets, abandoned highways, and large industrial sectors. Dense forests and heavily cluttered environments appear to limit their effectiveness. Survivor Notes: "The scream wasn't anger. It was a starting pistol." "If you hear it close, don't run far. Run sideways." "Everything shook when it hit the wall. The wall lost."
- #17Burrowers
Keys: burrower, burrowers, digging entity, tunnel entity, spider entity, subterranean predator
Burrowers are large terrestrial entities commonly found beneath urban districts, fractured highways, abandoned mining regions, and areas experiencing persistent geological instability. Adult specimens typically stand approximately thirty-five feet tall at their forward body section, though the majority of their total length remains concealed beneath the surface. Appearance: Burrowers possess a heavily armored spider-like forebody supported by two powerful rear support limbs connected to a massive torso. Extending from the front of the body are six oversized clawed appendages arranged around the head and thoracic region. These claws serve both excavation and offensive functions, capable of tearing through concrete, rock, structural steel, and compacted soil with alarming efficiency. Behind the torso extends a long centipede-like body composed of numerous articulated segments supported by hundreds of smaller locomotion limbs. The total length of a mature Burrower is unknown, as complete specimens have never been fully observed above ground. Behavior: Burrowers spend the majority of their existence underground, creating extensive tunnel networks beneath populated and unpopulated regions alike. They are highly sensitive to subterranean vibrations and are believed to detect movement through seismic disturbance rather than vision. When threatened or attracted to significant activity, Burrowers may surface abruptly. Such emergence events are frequently catastrophic, resulting in structural collapse, roadway failure, and localized seismic activity. Despite their immense size, Burrowers are capable of surprisingly rapid excavation. Reports suggest they can disappear beneath solid ground within minutes of surfacing. Threat Level: Extreme (subterranean predator / infrastructure destroyer) Known Patterns: Burrowers are commonly associated with sinkholes, sudden foundation collapse, unexplained tunnel formations, and seismic anomalies that cannot be linked to Riftworm activity. They appear most frequently beneath urban regions where vibration levels remain consistently elevated. Large concentrations of machinery, generators, vehicles, and settlement activity may increase encounter probability. Survivor Notes: "The ground started breathing before it broke." "The building didn't collapse. Something removed the idea of a foundation." "When it surfaced, the street folded inward like paper."
- #18San Francisco Ruins
Keys: san francisco, sf ruins, bay ruins, bay area collapse
Former coastal metropolis now partially submerged, structurally fractured, and heavily destabilized following impact events and secondary geological collapse. Large portions of the city are split between collapsed inland districts and flooded coastal remnants. High entity density zone with frequent Glassback sightings, Fog saturation, and intermittent Pilgrim transit routes. Underground transit systems are considered extremely high-risk due to unknown deep movement activity.
- #19Las Angeles Wasteland Belt
Keys: los angeles, LA ruins, LA basin, southern california ruins
Expanded urban ruin field stretching across the former Los Angeles metropolitan basin. Characterized by extreme sprawl collapse, wildfire-scarred infrastructure, and large-scale structural disintegration zones. Hexapod Giant migration corridors are frequently reported along former highway systems. Roothead clusters are common in overgrown suburban sectors.
- #20Central Valley Dead Zones
Keys: central valley, california valley, farmlands, dead agriculture zone
Once a major agricultural region, now largely abandoned and partially reclaimed by uncontrolled ecological regrowth and anomaly-driven environmental distortion. The Fogs frequently settle in lowland basin areas, creating near-total navigation loss conditions. Riftworm seismic activity is elevated beneath fractured irrigation and transport infrastructure.
- #21Pacific Coast Rupture Line
Keys: pacific coast, california coast, shoreline rupture, west coast anomaly line

Location: Residential district A small settlement famous for frequent Gifter activity. Residents have developed an entire culture around cataloging and exchanging objects left behind by Gifters. The settlement museum contains thousands of seemingly worthless items. Nobody knows why. Population: Small Known For: Curiosities Traders Gifter research
- #34The Pilgrims
Keys: Pilgrim, Pilgrims, The Pilgrims
The Pilgrims are a class of large, slow-moving entities observed across multiple post-impact regions, most commonly near collapsed urban corridors and long-abandoned transit routes. Appearance: They are tall, asymmetrical figures, often described as humanoid only in the vaguest sense. Their silhouettes appear layered or “stitched together,” as if multiple forms were interpreted incorrectly by the eye at distance. Details are difficult to confirm, as observation seems to degrade with proximity. Behavior: The Pilgrims move in continuous, deliberate motion with no observed destination change. They follow paths that resemble “routes” rather than random wandering—often retracing long-buried roads, tunnels, and former evacuation corridors. They do not react to most environmental stimuli, including human presence, unless directly obstructed. Threat Level: Low to Moderate (situational) Known Patterns: Pilgrims appear to avoid stopping entirely. If blocked, they will alter course minimally rather than engage. However, prolonged proximity has been associated with disorientation, memory gaps, and loss of time awareness in survivors. Survivor Notes: “They don’t chase you. They pass you like you’re already behind them.” “I swear I saw one walking through a building that wasn’t there anymore.” “Don’t follow them. Even if it feels like they’re leading somewhere safe.”
- #35The Choirs
Keys: choir, The Choir, singing, voices, humming, harmonics
The Choir is a collective entity phenomenon reported in multiple post-impact regions, typically in areas of dense structural collapse, underground spaces, or enclosed urban ruins. Appearance: No consistent physical form has been confirmed. Sightings are rare and unreliable, often described as overlapping silhouettes within reflective surfaces, smoke, or deep shadow. Most survivors never visually confirm The Choir directly—only its effects. Behavior: The Choir does not move like a single organism. It manifests as synchronized vocalization originating from multiple unseen sources. These vocalizations are not fully linguistic, but often resemble fragmented human speech, emergency broadcasts, or familiar voices distorted beyond recognition. The Choir appears to “react” to emotional states such as fear, isolation, or group separation. Individuals exposed for prolonged periods report auditory hallucinations that escalate in clarity and familiarity over time. Threat Level: High (psychological / environmental hazard) Known Patterns: The Choir intensifies in enclosed spaces and tends to emerge after periods of silence or electrical failure. It does not pursue physically, but survivors often describe being “led” or “drawn” toward deeper structural areas following repeated exposure. Survivor Notes: “It sounded like my brother calling me from the stairwell.” “We were all hearing different voices, but they were saying the same thing.” “Don’t answer it. Even if it says your name correctly.”
- #36Glassbacks
Keys: glassback, glassbacks, transparent giant, see-through, mirrored skin
Glassbacks are large, slow-moving entities observed primarily in open terrain, coastal ruins, and elevated city remnants where long sightlines exist. They are among the most visually distinct yet paradoxically difficult-to-confirm entities due to their unusual physical composition. Appearance: Glassbacks appear as towering humanoid-like forms with semi-transparent or refractive dermal structures. Their outer surfaces bend and distort light, making them appear partially invisible, reflective, or layered with environmental imagery. At distance, they may resemble heat shimmer, broken reflections, or misaligned segments of the skyline itself. Behavior: Glassbacks exhibit minimal direct interaction with the environment. They move slowly and continuously, often in straight or gently curving paths that do not correspond to visible terrain features. Objects and structures are rarely avoided; instead, they are passed through or around with subtle distortion effects observed at the point of contact. No confirmed aggressive behavior has been documented. However, prolonged visual exposure has been linked to spatial disorientation, depth misjudgment, and in some cases, the inability to accurately track the entity’s position after initial sighting. Threat Level: Moderate (perceptual / spatial hazard) Known Patterns: Glassbacks are most frequently observed during clear weather or high visibility conditions. They tend to appear “more complete” when viewed indirectly or through reflective surfaces. Some survivors report that direct observation causes the entity to become harder to perceive over time, as if visibility itself degrades. Survivor Notes: “It looked like a building until it moved.” “You don’t lose sight of it. You lose certainty it was ever there.” “We tried to mark where it passed… the marks didn’t line up with the ground anymore.”
- #37Longlegs
Keys: longlegs, long leg, long-legged, sprinting entity, runner
Longlegs are fast-moving predatory entities observed primarily in fractured urban zones, highway ruins, and collapsed infrastructure corridors. Unlike many other post-impact entities, Longlegs exhibit clear pursuit behavior and rapid directional response to movement and sound. Appearance: Longlegs are characterized by extreme limb elongation disproportionate to their torso structure. Their gait is digitigrade and highly elastic, allowing for rapid acceleration and sustained high-speed traversal across uneven terrain. Visual confirmation is often brief due to their speed, with reports describing blurred silhouettes, joint overextension, and intermittent contact with ground surfaces that appear too unstable to support their movement. Behavior: Longlegs are highly reactive to motion, particularly abrupt or erratic movement. They appear to track targets visually and acoustically, adjusting pursuit angles with minimal delay. Unlike slower entities, they do not patrol or loop; instead, they commit to direct engagement once a target is identified. They are capable of traversing vertical surfaces, broken structures, and partially collapsed buildings without significant loss of speed. Engagements are typically brief and decisive. Threat Level: High (active pursuit predator) Known Patterns: Longlegs are most active during low-visibility conditions, particularly dusk, storm cover, or heavy dust environments. They appear to avoid prolonged exposure in open flat terrain unless in pursuit. Some reports suggest hesitation when multiple targets scatter in different directions, though confirmation is inconsistent. Survivor Notes: “If you hear it hit the ground behind you, you’re already behind it.” “It doesn’t chase you like an animal. It corrects your mistake of being seen.” “We thought it was gone. It was just pacing itself.”
- #38Angels
Keys: angel, angels, flying entity, sky entity, winged giant, overhead presence
Angels are colossal aerial entities observed at extreme altitudes, typically above cloud cover or during atmospheric breaks in storm systems. Despite their name, there is no confirmed connection to religious or symbolic origin; the designation arises from early survivor reports describing “winged silhouettes moving through the sky like falling sanctuaries.” Appearance: Angels vary in morphology, but all documented instances share extreme scale and airborne capability. Most appear to possess elongated, membrane-like structures or layered appendages that function as flight surfaces. Their silhouettes often distort cloud formations and cast shadows that do not align with expected light sources. In clearer conditions, they may appear partially obscured by atmospheric interference, as though distance itself resists observation. Behavior: Angels are not consistently observed interacting with ground-level environments. However, indirect effects are frequently reported beneath their passage, including sudden temperature drops, electromagnetic disruption, localized wind shear, and transient auditory phenomena resembling distant harmonic resonance or structural creaking in the sky. Their movement patterns are slow, deliberate, and directional, often crossing vast regions without deviation. Some survivor accounts suggest they travel in loose alignment with meteor impact zones, though no confirmed causal relationship exists. Threat Level: Unknown (indirect environmental influence) Known Patterns: Angels are most frequently observed during high-altitude visibility conditions such as storm breaks or post-weather atmospheric clearing. They are rarely seen in full form; most confirmed sightings are partial, obscured, or inferred through environmental distortion rather than direct visual confirmation. Survivor Notes: “We saw its shadow before we saw the storm.” “The clouds folded around something that wasn’t wind.” “It didn’t fly over us. It made the sky feel lower.”
- #39Sky Tentacles
Keys: sky tentacle, sky tentacles, aerial tendrils, cloud tendrils, atmospheric limbs
Sky Tentacles are large-scale aerial phenomena observed within upper atmospheric layers and storm systems following post-impact environmental destabilization. They are not consistently visible as discrete organisms, and may instead represent partial manifestations of a larger, unconfirmed structure or entity occupying high-altitude space. Appearance: Sky Tentacles appear as elongated, semi-coherent forms extending through clouds, storm bands, or clear atmospheric gaps. They are typically described as dark, semi-translucent, or light-refracting structures that move with intentional but non-rigid motion. In some cases, they are only visible indirectly—through cloud deformation, lightning interruption patterns, or shadow projection across terrain. Behavior: Sky Tentacles exhibit slow, sweeping motion across atmospheric layers. Their movement can influence weather conditions, including sudden pressure drops, localized storm formation, and wind pattern reversal. Ground-level effects are indirect but significant, often manifesting as environmental instability rather than direct physical interaction. In rare instances, Sky Tentacles appear to “react” to large-scale movement or energy emissions on the surface, though no consistent targeting behavior has been confirmed. Threat Level: Unknown (environmental / systemic hazard) Known Patterns: Sky Tentacles are most commonly observed during storm formation, post-impact atmospheric turbulence, or high-altitude visibility windows. They are rarely fully visible at once; most sightings involve partial structures crossing the sky over extended durations. Survivor Notes: “The storm didn’t come in. Something pulled it across the sky.” “We watched the clouds split like something was swimming through them.” “It didn’t reach down. It made the sky feel like it had edges.”
- #40The Behemoths
Keys: behemoth, behemoths, titan, moving mountain, ground entity, colossal entity
Behemoths are extreme-scale terrestrial entities observed in post-impact regions where geological structures, urban collapse zones, and subterranean anomalies intersect. They are among the largest recorded active forms, with size estimates ranging from massive building-scale to regional-scale mass depending on observation conditions and distance. Appearance: Behemoths are not consistently identifiable as single organisms. They are typically described as vast, partially obscured masses that resemble fused terrain, collapsed infrastructure, and organic structure combined into a single moving form. At long range, they may be mistaken for hills, ruins, or shifting landmasses. At closer range, fragmented details suggest layered surface movement, deep structural motion, and irregular growth-like formations along their exterior. Behavior: Behemoths exhibit extremely slow but persistent movement. Their paths are not random; however, their navigational logic is not understood. They appear to traverse terrain without regard for obstacles, often altering landscapes simply by passing through them rather than avoiding or destroying them in a conventional sense. Environmental effects are significant within proximity zones, including seismic disturbance, structural collapse, and long-term terrain displacement. Smaller entities are rarely observed near active Behemoth paths, suggesting either avoidance or displacement behavior. Threat Level: Extreme (environmental / structural catastrophe class) Known Patterns: Behemoths are most often detected indirectly through seismic readings, satellite distortion, or long-range visual anomalies. Direct visual confirmation is rare due to their scale and the instability of surrounding environments during approach. Survivor Notes: “We thought it was a mountain until the mountain moved.” “The road didn’t end. It just stopped existing where it walked.” “It doesn’t chase anything. It just passes, and the world rearranges itself afterward.”
- #41Riftworms
Keys: riftworm, riftworms, worm, tunnel entity, underground entity, fissure, seismic anomaly
Riftworms are subterranean entities associated with post-impact geological instability zones, particularly regions exhibiting abnormal fissure activity, seismic irregularities, or localized spatial distortion. They are not confirmed to be biological organisms in the conventional sense, and may represent a form of adaptive structure existing within fractured subterranean layers. Appearance: Riftworms are rarely observed in full form. Partial sightings describe elongated, segmented structures moving through soil, concrete, and fractured bedrock without regard for material density. Their visible segments appear inconsistently defined, with surfaces that alternate between organic texture, mineral-like composition, and transient void-like gaps where form is not visually stable. Behavior: Riftworms move through subsurface layers by exploiting structural weaknesses in terrain, often following fault lines, collapsed infrastructure, or impact-generated fractures. Their movement is not strictly tunneling; instead, it appears as if the environment briefly ceases to resist their passage. Surface disturbances may occur above active Riftworm paths, including sinkhole formation, sudden structural collapse, and localized vibration anomalies. In some cases, Riftworms are believed to “surface” indirectly through environmental rupture points rather than physically emerging in a traditional sense. Threat Level: High (subterranean / structural instability hazard) Known Patterns: Riftworms are most active in post-impact seismic regions and areas with repeated structural failure. They appear to favor zones where human infrastructure has already been compromised, suggesting either attraction to instability or inability to traverse fully intact terrain. Survivor Notes: “The ground didn’t open. It just stopped agreeing to stay together.” “We heard movement under the road like it was breathing through cracks.” “You don’t see it coming up. You realize you’ve been standing on it longer than you should have.”
- #42Hexapod Giants
Keys: hexapod, hexapods, hexapod giant, six-legged giant, crawler giant, walking structure
Hexapod Giants are large-scale terrestrial entities characterized by six-limbed locomotion and extreme structural durability. They are primarily observed in open ruins, coastal wreckage zones, and collapsed megastructural environments where terrain allows for multi-directional movement. Appearance: Hexapod Giants exhibit a broadly insectoid or arthropod-like structural arrangement, though their exact morphology varies significantly between sightings. Common traits include six primary weight-bearing limbs, segmented torsos, and surface structures that appear both organic and biomechanical depending on lighting and distance. At scale, they often resemble moving frameworks of collapsed architecture or reinforced biological scaffolding. Behavior: Hexapod Giants demonstrate deliberate, route-based movement patterns across terrain, often traversing large distances without deviation. Their gait is stable but highly destructive to intervening structures due to weight distribution and limb placement. They do not appear to “hunt” in a traditional sense, but their movement zones are considered highly hazardous due to incidental collapse and displacement effects. Smaller entities tend to avoid Hexapod movement corridors, suggesting either environmental avoidance behavior or secondary displacement pressure. Threat Level: High (structural / traversal hazard) Known Patterns: Hexapod Giants are most frequently observed during long-range environmental scans or elevated vantage sightings. They often move in linear or gently arcing paths, sometimes aligning with former infrastructure routes such as highways, rail lines, or coastal transit systems. Survivor Notes: “It didn’t step on the building. The building just stopped being where its leg decided to be.” “You don’t hear them coming. You hear what used to be in their way breaking.” “We stopped using roads after we saw one using them.”
- #43Rootheads
Keys: roothead, rootheads, grounded entity, buried entity, corpse-like, stationary entity, mimic, husk
Rootheads are stationary or near-stationary entities observed primarily in overgrown ruins, collapsed residential zones, and long-abandoned infrastructure sites where biological regrowth and environmental reclamation have overtaken structural remains. Appearance: Rootheads resemble partially humanoid forms embedded within soil, concrete fractures, or dense organic overgrowth. The most consistent feature is a cranial structure partially exposed above ground level, often encased in root systems, fungal growths, or mineralized debris. The rest of the body appears either fully integrated into the surrounding environment or indistinguishable from it. In many cases, Rootheads are mistaken for environmental remains, statues, or victims of past collapse events until movement or response is observed. Behavior: Rootheads exhibit minimal locomotion. Instead, they appear to anchor themselves within a specific location, extending influence through surrounding organic or structural growth. Some reports suggest limited sensory responsiveness to proximity, sound, or vibration. Certain Rootheads have been observed subtly altering nearby environments over extended periods, accelerating plant growth, structural decay, or localized ecological imbalance. Whether this is intentional or incidental is unknown. Threat Level: Moderate (environmental / infiltration hazard) Known Patterns: Rootheads are most commonly found in areas with prolonged abandonment and high biological regrowth. They are rarely observed in motion, and confirmed “active” states are difficult to distinguish from environmental change. Some survivors report feeling watched in proximity to Roothead sites without identifying a visible source of observation. Survivor Notes: “We thought it was a body in the dirt until the dirt moved back.” “It doesn’t chase you. It becomes part of where you were.” “The worst part is realizing it was always facing the road.”
- #44The Leviathans
Keys: leviathan, leviathans, deep entity, ocean entity, abyss, sea titan, trench entity
Leviathans are extreme-scale entities associated with deep oceanic zones, submerged impact craters, and anomalous trench systems where post-impact geological and environmental instability is most severe. They are rarely observed directly, with most documentation derived from indirect seismic, sonar, or surface-level environmental disturbances. Appearance: No confirmed full-body visual documentation of a Leviathan exists. Partial interpretations describe vast, moving masses beneath ocean surfaces, often disrupting light penetration and creating large-scale displacement of water columns. In rare instances where surface interaction occurs, the resulting phenomena include abnormal wave formation, pressure distortion, and transient structural collapse along coastal regions. Behavior: Leviathans appear to inhabit deep, low-light or entirely lightless environments. Their movement is slow but massively influential, affecting ocean currents, pressure systems, and underwater geological stability. Coastal disturbances attributed to Leviathan activity include sudden tidal anomalies, unexplained deep-water resonance events, and large-scale marine ecosystem disruption. There is no evidence of direct surface intent. However, their presence correlates strongly with environmental instability in adjacent regions. Threat Level: Extreme (environmental / systemic oceanic hazard) Known Patterns: Leviathan activity is primarily inferred through indirect measurement rather than observation. Seismic anomalies beneath ocean floors, irregular sonar “voids,” and sudden localized oceanic pressure shifts are the most consistent indicators of presence. Certain impact zones appear to act as long-term convergence points for Leviathan movement. Survivor Notes: “The ocean stopped behaving like water in that region.” “We didn’t see it rise. The sea just forgot how to stay where it was.” “The sonar didn’t fail. It just came back with nothing that made sense.”
- #45Doom Rigs
Keys: doom rig, doom rigs, ocean rig, deep rig, sea tower, legged titan, abyss pillar
Doom Rigs are colossal oceanic entities characterized by extreme vertical limb extension, allowing them to maintain contact with both the ocean floor and the surface atmosphere simultaneously. Their structure appears to function as a living bridge between deep-sea and surface-level environments, though their true biological or mechanical classification remains unknown. Appearance: Doom Rigs possess a central body mass located near or slightly above sea level, supported by four primary limbs of extraordinary length. These limbs extend downward through water columns, often disappearing into abyssal depths. Surface-level observations describe the upper structure as partially organic, partially geometric, with hardened protrusions that resemble structural rigging or industrial frameworks. The limbs themselves are rarely seen in full due to ocean opacity and depth, but sonar and rare visual confirmation suggest they remain stable regardless of environmental pressure variations. Behavior: Doom Rigs appear largely stationary in terms of horizontal movement but may adjust vertical limb tension and positioning over time. They do not exhibit traditional locomotion; instead, they function as fixed or semi-fixed environmental anchors. Ocean currents, pressure systems, and local marine activity appear subtly altered in proximity to active Doom Rig sites. Some reports indicate that smaller entities avoid areas surrounding Doom Rigs, suggesting either territorial dominance or environmental incompatibility. Threat Level: Extreme (environmental / structural ocean-anchor class) Known Patterns: Doom Rigs are typically observed in deep ocean zones, trench-adjacent waters, and post-impact coastal regions where seabed stability is compromised. Surface sightings often occur during calm water conditions, where the upper structure becomes visible against minimal wave interference. Survivor Notes: “It wasn’t standing in the ocean. The ocean was hanging off it.” “We thought it was a platform until we realized it never touched land.” “The water moved like it was avoiding its legs.”
- #46Faith Rigs
Keys: faith rig, faith rigs, land rig, walking structure, four-legged titan, sanctum rig
Faith Rigs are large terrestrial entities characterized by four extremely elongated support limbs, structurally similar to Doom Rigs but exhibiting markedly different environmental behavior and physical presentation. They are most commonly observed in open plains, ruined infrastructure corridors, and post-impact regions with reduced entity density. Appearance: Faith Rigs possess a central elevated body supported by four long legs that extend deep into fractured terrain, stabilizing their massive frame above ground-level obstructions. Unlike their oceanic counterparts, their structure appears more organized and less eroded, often described as “architectural” or “intentional” in form. Surface materials vary between organic reinforcement, mineral-like plating, and light-reflective structures that appear unusually intact in comparison to surrounding environments. Behavior: Faith Rigs are largely stationary or slow-moving entities that exhibit minimal disruptive interaction with their surroundings. In many observed instances, areas surrounding Faith Rigs show reduced activity from hostile entities, leading survivors to describe them as “zones of stillness” or “false sanctuaries.” However, no confirmed protective intent has been verified. Environmental conditions near Faith Rigs often appear stabilized compared to surrounding regions, including reduced seismic activity, calmer atmospheric distortion, and lower incidence of aggressive entity encounters. Threat Level: Unknown (neutral / anomalous stabilizer class) Known Patterns: Faith Rigs are typically found in regions that have experienced prolonged instability but have not fully collapsed into extreme anomaly density. They appear less frequently in ocean-adjacent zones and are primarily documented in inland territories. Their positioning is often solitary, with no confirmed clustering behavior. Survivor Notes: “We slept under it for three nights. Nothing came near us. That’s what scared us most.” “It looked like it was holding the sky up, not standing in it.” “The land felt quieter where it stood… like even the world didn’t want to interrupt it.”
- #47The Darkness
Keys: darkness, The Darkness, shadow entities, light-visible entities, light-reactive, void silhouettes
The Darkness refers to a class of entities that are not observable in the absence of illumination. Unlike conventional shadow phenomena, these entities become detectable only when exposed to external light sources such as sunlight, artificial lighting, or reflective environmental illumination. Appearance: In darkness, these entities appear absent or non-existent. However, when light intersects their location, they manifest as sharply defined silhouettes of deep, non-reflective blackness that actively absorb or negate surrounding light behavior. They do not cast shadows; instead, they are perceived as regions where light fails to behave normally. Their forms vary significantly, but most documented sightings describe humanoid or irregular upright structures with unnatural proportions. The edges of their silhouettes remain stable even under shifting light angles, suggesting a form of persistence independent of perspective. Behavior: The Darkness does not exhibit traditional locomotion patterns. Instead, observed instances suggest positional instability relative to observation conditions. When not illuminated, they are effectively undetectable. When exposed to light, they become visually coherent and may reposition between exposures, though the mechanism behind this transition is unknown. Some reports indicate that prolonged exposure to illuminated Darkness entities correlates with perceptual strain, including delayed visual processing, afterimages, and difficulty distinguishing object boundaries in surrounding environments. Threat Level: High (perceptual / conditional visibility hazard) Known Patterns: The Darkness is most frequently encountered in environments with intermittent lighting conditions—collapsed infrastructure with exposed sunlight shafts, flickering power grids, or shifting environmental illumination such as storm breaks. They are rarely observed continuously, as sustained observation appears difficult or destabilizing. Survivor Notes: “You only see it when you prove it’s there.” “Turn the light off and it’s gone. Turn it back on and it’s closer.” “We stopped using flashlights after it learned where we liked to look.”
- #48Bird Watchers
Keys: bird watcher, bird watchers, watchers, observers, perched entities, passive observers
Bird Watchers are passive, non-aggressive entities observed across a wide range of post-impact environments, most commonly in elevated positions such as rooftops, skeletal high-rise structures, coastal cliffs, and collapsed communication towers. Appearance: Bird Watchers are typically humanoid or semi-humanoid in silhouette, though consistent anatomical details are unclear due to extreme distance, obstruction, and lack of confirmed close-range observation. They are most often described as still, upright figures that appear to be “looking” over vast areas rather than interacting with immediate surroundings. They do not exhibit movement consistent with hunting, territorial behavior, or environmental interaction. Instead, they maintain prolonged stationary observation of regions where other entity activity is present or likely to occur. Behavior: Bird Watchers do not respond to human presence in any confirmed instance, nor do they appear to react to environmental hazards, other entities, or structural collapse events. Their positioning often correlates with high-visibility vantage points, suggesting deliberate placement or selection of observation zones. Some survivors report a persistent sensation of being tracked or evaluated when within visual range of a Bird Watcher, though no direct interaction or aggression has ever been documented. Threat Level: Low (unknown intent / observational anomaly) Known Patterns: Bird Watchers appear in regions of high entity density or environmental instability. They are most frequently observed during clear visibility conditions or when large-scale entities (such as Angels or Behemoths) are active in the area. Their positions often remain unchanged across long periods of time, even when surrounding environments undergo significant transformation. Survivor Notes: “They never move, but they’re never not looking at something new.” “We saw one on a tower that collapsed three days earlier. It was still at the top.” “It didn’t feel like it was watching us. It felt like it was watching everything else through us.”
- #49Krakens
Keys: kraken, krakens, abyss kraken, deep sea predator, tentacle entity, trench predator
Krakens are colossal deep-ocean predatory entities observed in abyssal trench systems, post-impact underwater rupture zones, and regions of extreme oceanic pressure instability. Unlike Leviathans, which are primarily associated with environmental-scale oceanic distortion, Krakens exhibit active predatory behavior directed toward moving objects within their range. Appearance: Krakens are rarely observed in full form. Confirmed sightings consist primarily of massive articulated appendages emerging from deep water columns. These limbs are highly flexible, capable of extending vast distances upward through water and occasionally breaching surface levels during feeding events or territorial responses. Surface-visible portions display irregular texture variations, including muscular segmentation, hardened suction structures, and biomechanical reinforcement patterns. The central body mass has never been reliably documented, though sonar anomalies suggest a large, mobile structure located within deep trench regions. Behavior: Krakens demonstrate active target acquisition behavior, responding to surface movement, vibrations, and large-scale environmental disturbances. They are capable of rapid directional limb extension through vertical water columns, allowing interaction with surface-level vessels, coastal structures, and submerged anomalies. Krakens do not appear to maintain territory in a fixed sense, instead migrating between deep zones and surface-access regions based on environmental conditions and prey availability. Threat Level: Extreme (active predatory apex ocean entity) Known Patterns: Kraken activity is most frequently associated with unstable oceanic regions, particularly those overlapping with Leviathan influence zones or Doom Rig structural fields. Their emergence is often preceded by deep-water pressure anomalies, sudden sonar blackout regions, and localized marine ecosystem collapse. Survivor Notes: “The water didn’t splash. It grabbed.” “We thought it was a wave until the wave held onto us.” “It didn’t rise from the sea. The sea lifted it like it was already waiting.”
- #50The Fogs
Keys: fog, The Fogs, fog entity, dense fog, anomaly fog, visibility entity, whiteout fog
The Fogs refer to a class of dense, anomalous atmospheric phenomena observed across post-impact regions, particularly in coastal cities, river valleys, and low-elevation urban ruins. Unlike standard meteorological fog, The Fogs exhibit behavior inconsistent with natural atmospheric formation, including abrupt spatial expansion, localized density variation, and persistence independent of humidity or temperature conditions. Appearance: The Fogs manifest as thick, often opaque atmospheric layers that significantly reduce visibility within affected zones. However, within extreme density pockets, subtle structural irregularities have been reported, including transient shapes, depth inconsistencies, and perceived “layering” that suggests non-uniform internal structure. In certain regions, light behaves inconsistently within The Fogs, creating false depth perception, delayed visual feedback, and directional distortion. Behavior: The Fogs do not move in predictable weather patterns. Instead, they appear to “settle” into geographic regions, expand suddenly, or retract without clear atmospheric cause. Their boundaries are not stable and may shift within short timeframes. Extended exposure has been associated with navigational disorientation, auditory dampening, and increased misinterpretation of distance and movement. Survivors report that familiar locations feel “rearranged” within dense Fog zones, even when physical structures remain unchanged. Some reports suggest that The Fogs react subtly to large-scale entity movement, particularly Behemoths and Hexapods, though this may be a secondary atmospheric effect rather than direct interaction. Threat Level: High (environmental / navigation hazard) Known Patterns: The Fogs are most frequently encountered in post-impact coastal cities, abandoned highways, and low-lying inland basins. They often appear following periods of atmospheric instability or major entity activity. Certain Fog formations persist longer in regions with repeated anomaly exposure, suggesting environmental “memory” behavior. Survivor Notes: “You don’t walk into it. You forget where you were walking from.” “We marked the wall three times. It was still wrong when we came back.” “It didn’t hide things. It made them uncertain.”
